Hope this is the right place. If it isn't, apologies in advance.

Anyway, I've posted this at SPPF already, and I'm hoping I can get some help here as well:

    I've got the right equipment, so now I just need the guinea pigs-er-voice actors. ^_^;

IN CASE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT A FANDUB IS:

A fandub is a project where fans of a series dub an episode themselves with their own Voice Actors before the episode comes out.

I'm going to start by dubbing AG episode #141, and this is what I need YOU
guys to do for me: I need some good voice actors to play these parts for this certain episode for right now:

    Ash ------

    May ------

    Brock -----

    Max ------

    Jesse ------

    James ------

    Meowth ------

Sneasel ------ Myself (this part is a no-brainer)

Sister one (with the Sneasel) ------

Sister two (with the Mr.Mime) ------

Other Pokemon ------ *please state which one you are planning to do based on appearance in this list:

*Munchlax, Mr. Mime, Pikachu, Mudkip, Combusken*

Here's an example of what I've done with Sneasel in one scene:

Here's the direct-link to a summary, just so you get an idea of what the episode is about: *pokemonpalace link removed*

Okay, as soon as you figure out what part you think you can do best,
please send me a sample of it so it may be judged by me.
Any phrase will do, as long as you try your best. As for the Pokemon voices, I would like the English versions of them please.

Oh, and make sure your microphone is set right, and I suggest getting
Audacity and using that instead of the regular microsoft utility. I want your samples in MP3 (here's a site to encode mp3s: https://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?lame_enc ), but they can be in WAV as well (as long as they're in good quality).

As soon as I pick which people will do what parts, I'll send you lines you should say, and the actual episode itself, so you're able to see what feelings and timing you should have.

The only other thing I need help on would be putting Sound Effects and BGM in the background in Movie Maker or Audacity (or any other free program). If you know how, please tell me.

So get on to recording, and send those samples in this thread! ^__^

haha, I started a Pokemon Fandub, or rather I had a friend who did. I was going to Ash's voice, but then her computer her computer crashed and she lost all of her media, and Pokemon episodes.... T-T
hmmm.... maybe I could do a voice in this one.... >> dunno who though, probably not Ash.... I leave that for someone else.
But still, Pokemon fandubing would be fun times.
What program are you using to do the dub?

Several different ones. I'll use Audacity for the sound editing, riverpast video cleaner for the file conversion, and Movie Maker 2 for the video editing.

I'd use more advanced programs, but I'm flat broke. XP

Anyway, I've got a few people at Serebii that are also gonna take a shot at this, so get your samples in soon.

Just as a heads up: I've got a potential Jesse and May, so you might want to hold those off, although you're still free to submit.

    Hey

(yep, I'm the same STJ from serebii forums, though you probably knew that already)

Just letting you know that I would like to relinquish my desire for the role of May....I'd like to do the part of Sister 2 (with the Mr Miime) instead .. I hope that's alright with you :D

I shoud get my sample up soon, when I can get a mic that is..XD

Alright, cool. I use movie maker for dubs too, so I'm use to it.
Also, you said you needed help for the sound effects and stuff. What I did for my Tokyo Mew Mew fandub was just leave all the original sounds and stuff into there, and just cut out the parts with the voices, of course I did have to do a little editing with the sounds so that they blended better during the chucks of seconds where the characters voices were taken out...but its not too hard really.

You can also get some sound files from www.sounddogs.com they have sound effects made for this kind of stuff.

oooh yeah, also if you go to www.pokemon-music.net and look through their music, they have a rather large collection of background music from the show. That might be helpful too.

I'm wondering if it's even worth you doing this, since (unlike most fandubs) the episode is certainly going to be dubbed anyway, and the regular dub voices are so familiar that people are going to be scared off by anything unusual...

That reminds me. Gotta get people onto my Digimon fandub project. *skuttles off*

XD yeah, thats true.... but its still fun, heck I've dubbed episodes of anime before that have already been dubbed.

    Its amusing hearing fandubs..

    Yeah, fun

and I have my microhone, rah XD

So, when you say sample, we can say whatever? Or do you want us to say a particular line?
