Pokemon fighting games like Mortal Kombat

Do you think there will ever be realistic-looking Pokemon fighting video games in the style of the fighting games created by NetherRealm Studios (for example: Mortal Kombat, Injustice: Gods Among Us)? Will Nintendo ever abandon the childish-looking style of their Pokemon games in favor of something with more life-like graphics (like the live action Pikachu movie has)? :irate-stare:

Probably not. The closest we would get to something like this would be Pokken. Which actually might be what you are looking for. Have you heard of it? It was an easy to miss release, being on the Wii U and all.

but in short: it's highly unlikely. Pokken will probably be the closest thing to what you're looking for in a traditional fighting game sense. Pokken Tournament DX is a thing on the Switch if you want to take a look at that. it's not my thing personally, but it might be for you.
