so I'm having an issue I put my hack in to VBA to see how the maps looked good and make sure everything was running smoothly well I went to go look at my Littens stats and the game froze completely is there any way to fix this

the thing is tho one of my friends started working on a new hack a few months ago and he ended up abandoning it for 2 reasons 1). because it was so buggy and 2). He got sick and has been doing kemo therapy well he told me today I could pick up the project and finish it if I wanted to cuz it would be a good way to learn he sent me the file for the rom hack along with the script for the game so I really wanna fix it and finish it
It has potential right now there's only 2 gyms but it's really well mapped and scripted it has some cool features to like
Gen 1-7 all obtainable in game
Gen 7 starters
Gen 7 characters for gym leaders
Gen 7 tiles
Cutsom characters sprites
Gen 7 Mon sprites
Gen 4-7 move pool
Ultra beast
Beast balls
Island guardians like taboo coco
Island Kahunas
Updated gym leaders teams
Z-moves
Mega evolution
Ash is champion
And Meltan/ melmetal
