It is a sunny Monday morning. You sit down, and read a newspaper. An article captures your attention, and you flip to the page, and start reading:
A new region?:


298 A.A. (After Ash)
Scientists have discovered a new region, which is currently known as "Magellan", after the explorer. It is situated some where north of the Hoenn region, and doesn't seem to have any new Pokemon. They believe there have already been people who have settled there, and there are various ruins, including an abandoned port city. They've recently sent a few scientists to explore the countryside, setting up way-points, and small settlements. Very recently, the scientists have had hostility with the tribes of the region. These tribesmen carry Pokemon, which the scientist don't have much of, and the ones who do, don't have much experience. If you've read this far, type "Columbia" as the first password. At this time period, becoming a trainer costs a large amount of money, knowing this, the scientists have put up ads on the internet to register a choice amount of people trainer cards, and providing them a starter Pokemon.
You put the newspaper down, and hurry home, and go on your computer. You type in the web address, and you sign up. You bring up the registry page:

Side Note:This takes place very far into the future. A.A. meaning after the death of Ash. Pokeballs now operate by being tossed, and detect heightened velocity, sometimes opening on windy days. The poke gear, is now shaped as an iPhone, and the Poke Dex is simply another app. If I wanted, I would have you encounter a few 5th generation Pokemon as well.

The Magellan region has no league or gym leaders. The main purpose is to explore the region, and collect information. If you wish to, after you've completed the storyline on this region, you may roam freely in the nearby Hoenn region, in which you there will have the same characters, but a different story line. You may keep all your Pokemon.

Josh wears a blue hoodie with a front pocket that has a pokeball design on it he wears a yellow waterproof wristwatch he also wears a belt around his waist where. He wears denim jeans and a black back pack where he keeps potions and other various items aswell.


Personality:Jolly and fun loving with a streak of darkness hidden deep down inside of him he has underlining feelings of hatred as years ago his Growlithe Blaze got taken from him by a Ghost pokemon while trying to protect him.....and he has never forgave himself nobody knows this though no they just see him as happy fun loving josh......
He loves all pokemon with all his heart and would do anythimg to protect them.However despite it all hes not actually a bad person and would do anything to help explore the new region despite his memories of Growlithe.He isn,t very brave but in the end he,ll do what needs to be done.All in all hes a pretty OK guy.

Anyway, just so you guys can see it and all, here's my SU:

Name: Riya Sadie

Gender: Female

Birthday: 288 A.A. (10 years old)

Appearance:
Body: Riya has a chubby body all over, from her chubby face to her cute chubby arms to her chubby little legs. Her hair is a dark pink, with large rolling curls throughout down to the back of her knees, and straight bangs framing her adorable face. Her eyes are gold, and extremely expressive thanks to her large pink eyebrows which sit atop. She stands at 4'7 without shoes, and absolutely loves to paint her fingernails varying shades of pink.
Clothes: Riya is a typical girly-girl under her mother's influence. Her dress is a cluster of pink fabric and white lace, with a big pink ribbon cinching it all together in the center. She uses the ribbon as a makeshift belt, and over time her mother has created metal loops throughout the ribbon, so that Riya can hang anything from cell phones to pokeballs from it. Her shoes are shiny black mary-janes, with bright white socks that reach up to just below her knees. In her hair is a bright pink ribbon, a silk fabric that shines in the sun.

Personality: Riya has lived near boats and water all her life, and absolutely adores it. Her father was a sailor, so he was often gone on long trips, but her mother was a stay-at-home mom who encouraged Riya in everything she did. Under her mother's tutelage, she learned to read and write at an advanced level, and from the sailors around her she learned about the different pokemon in the world—especially water types. Riya loves the color pink, and adores cute pokemon. Her mother actually signed Riya up for the testing, knowing that Riya was intelligent and strong enough to go on the journey, but Riya chose her pokemon herself. She plans to call it Cici, and give it a big pink bow she and her mother made.

One thing about Riya that has backfired in her mother's constant attention and care is that she demands the attention of all those around her. She is also very pushy, and will often shout at other kids, though she tends to keep her temper with adults a bit better. She's never been away from home, but she is extremely excited about setting out on her own and being just like her daddy, who she only sees every once in a great while, but always hears tales of adventure from whenever he does happen to be home. Riya never gives up, because she knows that she can do anything, and has been told this many times by her mother and father.

WhyYou Should Be Chosen:
Riya is the perfect type for this test. Her family is not very rich, so the chances of her becoming a trainer are slim if she is not accepted. In addition, she is strong willed, and ready to grow from this experience. She knows about every type of pokemon, and can name almost every one, which will help in her identification of the new creatures in Magellan, and she will never give up or abandon the test.

Name: Roy Lessio
Gender: Male
Birthday: 285 A.A.

Appearance: Roy is around 5'7', the average size for a 14 year old boy. He has medium-long blond hair that runs to his neck. He was a sort of mullet style hair where the top and sides of his hair are shorter than the back of his hair. It runs from his forhead to the back of his neck in a spiky style seeming a bit like a hedgehog. His face is more or less almond shaped and he has clumped up set of freckles from cheek to cheek going over his nose.Edit: The freckle part was not to copy auraguardian, I actually have a set of freckles on my cheeks and nose and it was only after I wrote this sign up did i read his/her sign up as well. Sorry for the similarity of characters. His clothing is a combination of Morty (Johto gym leader) and Silver (Johto rival). He has a long red-crimson like scarf on his neck. He has a sleeveless shirt with the coloration of Silvers shirt, black with blue lines running through the middle and sleeves. He has a pair of blue jeans which also show the same blue line on his shirt running down the edges of the jeans. He also wears dark blue-black sneakers. His skin tone is slightly tanned much, a bit lighter than that of brock. His body type is quite skinny, he doesn't have a six pack or anything but he has a lean body that looks as if he excersises more than he really does. He has broad shoulders as well as a built chest.

Personality: He has always been known as the spiritual type, always meditating when need be. He is quite friendly and loves giving out advice but in the face of danger he can be quite cautious and serious. He is not one to take insults to kindly but if anything he will always try to find another way at solving a problem besides fighting.

Why do you believe you should be accepted?: The reason I should be accepted is because I believe I can bring alot of food to the table. I am almost always active in all of my rps and you will never have to worry about me missing a week. I also sometimes add a bit of my humor even in the most emotional of times but I know when to stop.I also know quite a bit about Pokemon and I am willing to research what I type before I type it. Furthermore, I almost always will post my Rps with good grammer considering I am Rping not only because I want to have fun, but also so I can work on my writing skills for school over the summer. Finally, and foremost, I am Italian :)

Why do you believe you should be accepted?: (Answer in 3-6 sentences) I believe I should be accepted because Role Playing is one way that I can express my feelings. I am usually, very descriptive, I always include story in my posts, and have really good Grammar when it come to role playing. I only slack my grammar in a chat room where it is not as much of a priority. Another reason I think I should be accepted is my vast knowledge of Pokemon. Though I don't know all the Pokemon in numerical order, I can recognize most Pokemon by name. I also know what type each Pokemon is and can list their weaknesses off the top of my head as well as what level Pokemon generally evolve at. I am sometimes known as a "Walking Pokedex" by my peers. I know that Kid Ghandi has the final say in whether or not I'm accepted, and whatever is decided is fine by me.

Any Marks: Jerry has a strange silver mark very similar to Lugia's wing down his right arm.
Clothes: Jerry wears his favorite blue no-sleeve shirt, dark blue jean shorts and white leather sandals. Sometimes he wears a silver visor that was his father's. He also wears dark grey wristbands that are soft to the touch.

Personality:
Jerry is a very engaged person. He does most things that he wants without waiting for consent. He is actually very intelligent but is not very good at applying himself. He loses many objects and cannot see things that are in plain sight.

He is a very thoughtful young man and loses focus when he gets an idea in his head. Jerry can be stubborn and selfish, but can also be very gracious and generous. He is willing to help whenever needed and knows right from wrong, especially bribes. He can find a way through any situation and can adapt very well. He would make a great leader if he weren't so shy.

Why I should be chosen: I have much reason to be picked for this position. My family isn't the richest around, and I was never able to recieve a PokeBall, let alone many PokeBalls, for my birthday. I don't have a lot of things to do, and I have experience in this field. I am the leader of a group of explorers in my town, and we, more particularly me, have found an old building in the forest near our town. We searched it and found an Eevee nest, and I took them all to the nearest pound. And that's the other thing. I can gain any Pokemon's trust that I want, and that is a skill that you need. Please choose me as one of our world's representatives to this new region.

And why is it a fail? I like the concept and could actually get into this, plus the other people here would be disappointed because they tried to get into a rp that would be fun to play in. Wait for people to post and depending on how people post, then decide to delete it. or If its OK with you, I could take over the rp.
