I think that pokemon is great as it is but wouldnt it be great if the creators make a version on nintendo DS where you can move the characters like on pokemon ranger, and walk with pokemon like on pokemon ranger, but battle the original way. I think that it could have the same obstructions and obstacles as pokemon ranger but that the pokemon can be kept as your own caught pokemon. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Before this gets closed (I see shiny umbreon at the bottom of the screen) its because they wanted to retain the originality and simplicity of their tried and tested formula. Ranger is a spin-off and should stay that way :)

I don't think this will get closed, probably moving as I type. (shouldn't this be in the pokemon general section)

I can't imagine having six pokemon following me around all the time, so I really don't think it should be done the same way.
Maybe the first pokemon in your party can follow you around?
I like how people look in ranger though...

Ranger is a spin-off and should stay that way :)

I agree. The concept may sound great and all, but it's not doable. I mean, look at the pokemon in Ranger. It's not enough for all 490 pokemon, including all the motions that those pokemon have.

I was here, but left. But I wasn't going to close this anyway.

But this should go in Other Pokémon Games.
    -MOVED-

And, actually, Pokémon do PokéAssist you (with HMs), and the fact that they are following you would become annoying in the regular games. That's what Poké Balls are used for.

i get what you guys mean, thanks

To have the first Pokemon in the party follow you so that you could talk to it just like Pikachuu in Yellow version, would be good. In the game Telefang you can have the monster of you choice follow you (and it'll be the first in battle). A battle system as that in Telefang would be nice in Pokemon, you can have up to 3 or 4 (I think it was 3) active Pokemon at once (it depends on something about Level, I don't know, but I think if opponent's Level is very high or opponent has many monsters, you can send out more than 1 monster yourself). And as in Telefang, a Pokemon has very high Speed compared to the others it can strike twice before they do (like in FF10). I like the battle system in Telefang, but overall I think Pocket Monsters is better, but it can always approve.

I would buy it most definatly if they had an adventure Pokemon game like D/P in 3-D for XBOX 360. Man, that would be awesome.

    Yay, 101 post!

today I was thinking I'd like to see a third set of sprites/animations to show the pokerus, for example: Pidgey when encountered with pokerus would have a slightly more vibrant coloration, not drastacly different just more healthy looking and have the pokerus pokemon dance around energeticly with little gold sparkles or something, and for shiny/pokers pokemon just have the colors changed
