I would like to know where I can purchase Damage counters, and poison markers and stuff like that a playing board wouldn't be so bad either. If anybody knows where I can buy these things please post the information. I hate being in the dark about things especially things I like.

Does anyone know where I can buy these things? Walmart? Target?

A theme deck typically comes with a set of these, including the playmats and an official coin. Theme decks are readily available at both Target and Walmart, and are also often sold where your league plays, if your league plays at a hobby shop.

Also, have patience: You tried bumping your thread only five minutes after posting it. No section of this forum moves that fast.

Haha, agreed Donavannj ^ nobody responds that quickly.
For damage counters and special condition markers, like Dona said, theme decks all the way. They contain basic cardboard markers that get the job done, and a paper play mat. If you're looking for something more durable/that looks better, there are plastic damage counters that come in pokemon cases which are usually available on ebay, they're really nice. Play mats that are made out of foam and have pokemon insignia on them are available to buy at tournaments, for the most part, so look out for them if you attend tourneys because they are very hard to find on ebay.

The only way to buy the cardboard damage counters, markers, and play mats is through theme decks, and yes you can get these from wal-mart and target. They only sell the higher-end versions (foam, plastic) seperately.

Go to an Upper Deck or card/collectible game specialty store and get a set of at least 8 die (round edged and clear), 2 sets of 50 Magic/Pokemon/DBZ size sleeves (or a set of 60 if you find that; penny sleeves optional), and a fabric mat. They're good quality, and they're worth having 'cuz they protect your cards.

Adding on to the dice idea, many competitive players (myself included) use dice as both randomizers (instead of coins) and damage counters. The reason Furret mentioned the dice needing to have rounded corners and clear is that's the only type of dice that are legal for Premier events. You can find a set of 36 medium sized dice for around 8-10 bucks at specialty card/hobby stores, and are well worth the investment.

Adding onto the sleeves, penny sleeves wouldn't last very long in a tournament, so I would not recommend them. Also, the only sleeves that are legal are single color, non-reflective sleeves, or if you want some kind of design on your sleeves, only Pokemon art with a solid color border along the outside are allowed. All sleeves you get at prereleases, and most Pokemon sleeves that are made by Ultra Pro fit this criteria. In case you're wondering, the reason they're so strict on dice and sleeves is to discourage cheating.

You use the penny sleeves to put over regular sleeves to keep those from breaking. They protect each other :3
