Pokemon go plus not working with halloween update?

When my Pokemon go plus is connected it's not picking up nearby Pokemon or Pokestops, or counting distance on my eggs. It still lights up blue when I press it when it is not connected and it also still vibrates when I press it while it's connected like it normally does, but none of the features seem to work, any fixes for this?
