2nd Gen Pokemon Gold And Trading??

    ok so i've been wondering this since i want to start gold over but with a few cool pokemon so:
    can you trade from blue to gold with gameboy sp's?
    with the regular link cable and the wireless ones, i have the wireless one but i can get my hands on a link cable

    I've never tried the wireless links for GSC, but I don't think it would work. You definitely use a link cable between two SPs, but it will have to be a GBC link cable, not a GBA one

    wait wait wait! so whats the difference?? between the GBA and GBC??

    as in the systems or links
    if system, you can't play GBA games on GBC, but can play GBC games on a GBA.

    The link for the GBC is bigger when it comes to the plug in while the GBA's is smaller

    alright im sort of confused but if i understand correeectlyyy yeah i dont have the GBC cable, and the whole GBA cable with SP's did not work, my pokemon blue didnt sense the cable or something. but gold oddly did,
    but now i'm trying with my GBC, but no cable, is it true i can link with the little black mark thing on the top??

    The black thing at the top was used for mystery gift. I have a 3rd party GBA cable that allows to link between GBC games in the GBA.
     
    No, you need two Game Boy Colors and the GBC link cable. Unfortunately, trading between older games with GBAs and their respective link cable is not possible.
     
    Like I said in my last post, certain 3rd party GBA link cables can. Mine has a switch on the top that you use to switch between GBA and GBC.

    wow well that is a useful link cable, my problems are solved though!
    i ordered a GBC link cable online the other day, it should be coming about friday :/
    or earlier! hopefully
     
    Gee, lemme know if that works, please. I might give that a try if it ends up working for ya.
     
    Anyway you will not be able to save your gold cart if the battery inside is empty, which is probably true no?
