So then, this is my first post! Yay for me!

Anyway, the purpose of my joining this forum was to further my knowledge of hacks - I had seen some pretty nice hacks on Youtube, and I decided to join in on some of the fun.

So, anywho, and without further ado, here's my hack:

Pokemon Guacanator Version
(Creative title, eh?)

(Hack of Fire Red)

Basic plot:

You are a trainer! You live in the small town of Pallet. With the help of the benevolent Pokemon Professor Oak, your journey to become the pokemon champion will begin!

....Well, not really.

From the start, you realize that our beloved professor is different... You can't pin down exactly what's strange, but it might have something to do with his plots of world domination....

So, like in any pokemon fire red version, you start for Viridian.... But you find it to be gone. According to the residents of Route 1, Lord Oak's evilness has destroyed Viridian. Positively Jolly! So through the advice of a nice NPC named Guacanator, (hmm... a quoincidence, perhaps?) you head to Cinnabar via the shiny new Oak-Cinnabar Memorial Bridge. There you pick up a package for Oak.....

Fast forward a bit.....

Lord Oak sends you on a mission to make contact with a shadowy figure in a new region.... You don't know the purpose of this meeting, though something seems a bit off. But before making contact with this contact, you need to do a bit of adventuring! But it soon becomes apparent that you're in way over you're head....

-Slightly harder than original Fire Red
-Interesting Characters
-A *few* select Sinnoh Pokemon

Team Rocket? NO WAY!
That's right, no team rocket or other puny team. In fact, there's no real team... Just the UFA - United Freedom Alliance.

Although it may sound friendly, it's pure evil. led by a ruthless politician, the main point of the UFA is to overthrow the current government of the unnamed region and replace it with their "supirior" government. Think of 'em as communists. But know this: they're no pushovers.

Wahey 1st reply! i hope..

Okay I do like Some of your ideas But you've gotta change the names of the towns and professor ( Be inventive people like original games, names and ideas)
Otherwise it's good keep us up to date think of ideas you could put in hacking isnt easy! And Don't forget the Rival!!

To counterpropose an idea in contrast with your criticism:
Oak is SUPPOSED to be the professor, after all, if the professor was some random person who nobody ever heard of, would you care if he/she suddenly went evil?

And, since Oak IS the professor, it makes sense that the FIRST PART of the game will occur in Kanto. There are actually only three maps from the Kanto region included. The rest are all entirely original creations.

Hopefully I've cleared some points up! =D

PS: about the rival, the rival will remain Blue and the protagonist will remain Red, just because I like these two. And besides, once again, the beginning is INTENDED to be similar to the original game. Although Blue will have some MAJOR personality changes.

PPS: If you have any suggestions pertaining to the name of the region, they would be greatly appreciated. I'm horrible at coming up with names, just look at the name of the hack itself!

Oh Right okay makes more sense now i appologize for the critisizm i didn't realize you were purposefully keeping the same charecters i thought you just didnt want to change the script xD Am well Jeez the rom name isn't your usual name! it'll be tough to Pick out a region name to match! :) ummmm Just think of random things that sound cool haha or look up japanese words for like i dunno water or adventure.. Adventure is adobencha in Japanese.. Dark is kuro Light is ranpu ummm Distant is haruka Well basically tell me a word and i'll find out for you these arent exact translations but they're the closest to them! Shout out a few words! maybe send me a vistior message so i remember xD I'll be happy to help you in any way i can!

Don't you mean the rival is Green? Blue is a girl.
