Through my epic journey through johto ive come to notice that most of the gyms are type matched
falkners flying types are good against bugsy (bug)
idk about bugsy and winrey (normal)
winrey could give morton and his ghost types a run for their money
morton (ghost) could defeat chuck (fighting)by type match
chuck is type matched against the steel type leader
the steel leader could be type matched against the ice type gym
and the ice type is type matched against the dragon type

    o wow
    i didnt really notice that
only thing thats missing is the connection between the 2 and 3 gyms =/

Since whitney's miltank is obviously a girl and has the ability scrapy it can hit ghosts, and all morty's pokemon are male.

Yeah I kind of noticed that too, particularly with Falkner and Bugsy. :D

Also, if you look at Kanto's Gyms, Brock is weak to Misty and Misty and weak to Lt. Surge and Lt. Surge would have some trouble from Erika. :D

And in Hoenn, Roxanne would struggle against Brawly. :D

My mind is full of f***!

How did I never notice this before? My brain is screwed up..

I noticed that too. I thought it was pretty clever. Bugsy wouldn't have an advantage, per say, against Whittney, but with Focus Energy + U-Turn, it could hurt. It could just U-Turn right out of the attract. It can't be flinch haxed, because it's faster, and I'm pretty sure a critical hit U-Turn would severely dent Miltank.

Sure Bugsy could beat Whitney if it was up to that, but that still defeats the type setting challenge, which to me kind defeats the theory. If Gamefreak were to do the type matchups they'd at least try to arrange it better.

    I didn't notice it either =/
Yeah, unless one of Bugys pokemon get a fighting type attack, they aren't all matched up =/

Most of the gyms have it ... in most regions .

Johto has it over all the gyms, while in Sinnoh (Gardenia > Roark, Byron > [icegymforgotnamefail] ) ... it's to show that they can beat each other around ... >_<

Quite easy to see. But it's still a revellation !

    It's true that the other regions have it as well;

    Blaine > Koga > Sabrina > Erika > Lt. Surge > Misty > Brock > Blaine

    It comes full circle.

That doesn't make a circle at all:

    Giovanni < Blaine,Koga,Brock,Lt.Surge
    Blaine < Erika
    Sabrina < Koga
    Koga < ?????
    Erika < Giovanni, Misty, Brock
    Lt. Surge < Misty
    Misty < Giovanni, Blaine, Brock
Brock < Blaine, Koga (via Ground secondary typing), Lt. Surge (via Ground secondary typing)

    And the Elite Four:

Lorelei < Bruno < Agatha (via. Immunity) < Lance (Via Agatha's weak defenses) < Green (via. the fact that he's Champion)
    Lorelei > Lance

Huh. That's neat. I've never noticed that before! XD BTW, I hope you know that you (NickOfTime) misspelled some of the gym leaders' names wrong! XD LOL!

Of course there are going to be some discrepancies. I doubt they would ever make a pure, perfectly balanced Gym Leader circle. Plus, I never stated it was sheer type advantage, though most of them are. Plus, did I not point out a circle? Just because they go can in another order doesn't mean the circle does not exist.

That's like saying a square is never a square because if you add something to it, it could be a rectangle. :<
