Not trying to put you down or anything ,but seriously, LEARN HOW TO MAP CORRECTLY! I have no special tutorials to recommend, because I basically learned myself through trial and error, but look around the docs and tuts section and you should be able to come across sometime. I mean, though, like even when I was "new" to hacking, I knew not to do basic errors you've done
How do you not see that as an error and presentable? There's edges of water, and they obviously should be there. Plus, the cave tiles aren't replaced to match the snowy grass, just with the beach sand edges still there.
Ivysaur sprite cuts off at the bottom. You need to change the pkmn's name too, with a pkmn editor such as YAPE, if you are going to be inserting D/P pkmn.
It's just Odale, with the houses removed and just the doors left? Last I checked, doors couldn't float. Oh and you added an error to the light grass path around town -.-.
There's nothing wrong with mapping towns with a lot of flowers, if you place them right. It's just Littleroot with flowers placed horridly around.
Even the banner you made:
I'm not that great at banners myself, but you could do a lot better with that. It has a solid color background, and it's all in a basic font, with just the sprites added, not even in an orderly way or anything.
I'm in a banner making mood, so I might make you one later. It might not be the greatest, but hopefully better than the current.
Anyways, I'm not trying to bash or anything, just pointing out the obvious. What you have right now isn't even alpha material, let alone two alpha. Hopefully you can improve.
