Pokemon IceCrystal: The GSC Sequel

Hi, I'm Thunderblast. This is my first game, and it could use some help. ..

This is Pokemon IceCrystal, a GSC sequel. Just to let you know, the legendary is NOT Suicune! Here are some other features.
Features:
-New storyline which takes place 5 years after GSC, but still in Johto.
-New evil team: Team Solun!
-New Johto Pokedex includes all Hoenn/Sinnoh evos and prevos of all Johto Pokemon, but discludes al pokemon in the Johto Dex that can olny be found by trading with R/B/Y, like Squirtle.
-Hoenn/Sinnoh pokemon in postgame.
-FRLG tiles.
-Gym leader rosters have changed.
-Revamps of Crystal sprites, and scratch Hoenn and Sinnoh sprites!
-New Characters
-And last but not least... 494 Pokemon! You read that right, 494. Have fun guessing what that extra one is!
Now to go into more detail...

Story: It's your 10th birthday, and you and your twin sister (assuming you choose male) are going to get Pokemon from Prof. Elm! You get your Pokemon (your sister gets the one you're good against) and have a battle, but when it ends, you finds Prof Elm running out, chasing someone who apparently stole the last pokemon. You decide to chase after him and decide that your sister will go look in Blackthorn City, and you will try Cherrygrove/Violet. You find him in Mr. Pokemon's house, where he is assaulting Oak! You fight him, and he leaves. Oak, noting your bravery, gives you a Pokedex, and the quest to catch'em all and get 8 badges. However, the evil Team Solun has a plot to rule the world... but unlike any before....

Characters:
Albert: The male player character. If you don't choose him, he's brave but helpful. Laura's twin brother
Laura: The female player character. If you don't choose her, she's shy but helpful.
Prof Elm: The professor of Johto. You know him.
William: The main rival. He stole his first Pokemon from Elm. He's got an evil nature about him...
Simon: The secondary rival. He likes snakes, and his starter was an Onix. He might be just a little too competetive...
Victor: Not much is known about him, but he's the leader of Team Solun.

Jobs: Right now, I need someone to sprite the characters, because I'm terrible at spriting. Just make them look however you want. I will be mapping, and could use a bit of help. I also need some scripters.

Are you trying to be funny or something? Because if you do you failed. Commenting on a thread is for giving comments which might help, not just for pulling someone's game down. If I understand it wrong, my bad, sorry, but as how I see it you're just being rude.

Notch-Eared Pichu, you have your own bland, unoriginal game to worry about. And that quote format is getting REALLY old.

Anyway, there's nothing shameful about asking for a few people to help you out, but you should make a Recruiting section separated from the storyline, characters, etc. by a blank line. That goes for the rest of the topic too, spacing it out will make it clearer.

The stealing part is a little cliché, I have to admit, but so far it's the only direct similarity and as long as you're a little more discreet with the rest of your references you should be fine.

You should think of some changes that Johto has undergone in the 5 years. Some new buildings, maybe the discovery of ancient ruins? This will set your game apart from the other G/S/C sequels.

What is this mess... I'll admit i didnt read this, I Didnt even wanna try either... I Think your game borders on the lines of remake and sequel... But its just starting out im sure alot will change if you clean up your orginal post i'll post my advice... I Read what you have so far and i dunno what to say that might help... But Keep at it im sure this will evolve into a project worth watching...

Hmm...A G/S/C sequel? That's sounds like a good idea!

Also, putting a new evil team in is sort of a cliche' (no offense), but you could try and perhaps add some depth into it? Like, a member of Team rocket, who invaded Johto a couple of years ago split from the group and formed his own?

I suggest putting in some different starters for variety. Cyndaquil, Totodile and Chikorita are supposed to be rare pokemon and very hard to find in the games, so you could put them in as a special in-game trade or something. If the Professor had continuoly given out the same three pokemon year after year, the whole region would have ended up with a lot of those pokemon.

If you're going to put 494 Pokemon in, then is Arceus and the legendaries going to have a big role or something? Unless their for side-game quests, then I assume they'll be in the main storyline? The last pokemon too, I guess it's an Ice type?

The ledge on route 46 isn't exactly a big problem. The darkcave near Violet city tunnels right through to Blackthorn city and in 5 years, the ledge might have been destroyed or something.

I don't know that much about scripting and stuff, so I don't know what you can do, but those are my suggestions.

I agree with KingCharizard. Perhaps you could add a certain aspect of it that shows it's different, like changing the locations of some places or adding new features. The Poke-Athlon feature in the new HGSS games might be also something to consider.

I actually have tons more sequel-ish details, i'm just going to torture you like Nintendo does by releasing a few details at a time. Yes, there will be new areas, for example:
Time Warp
Silph Co. Johto branch
Deep Ice Cave

The new pokemon is Dark/Ice. As for most of the other legendaries, I'll put in a Mystery Gift script (I know it exists) and do that. But i'm thinking of a sidequest involving Mewtwo and Celebi, and another involving Unown..
