Pokemon in Anime go to the bathroom?

Well, they say in one episode something about manure from a Pokémon but that was only in the English version. In the Japanese version it wasn't feces at all.

But, obviously, since Pokémon are alive, they need to go to the bathroom. It's really common sense. .

If it wasn't feces, what was it?

Is was an ammonite in the Japanese version; it was just a very common fossil that Gary mistook for something spectacular.

WHAT DA FLYING MARX BROS. KINDA QUESTION IS THAT?!

It's a question posted on the forum. The only one that exists here, my friend.

Ok. So let's pretend Ash had to go to the restroom in route 230.

Ash: Agh. I go to go! NOW!
Dawn: Where?
Ash: *runs off*
Ash gets diarrhea
Dawn: I need to go...
...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!

HOLY WAFFLES. Bad thoughts :(

Anyways, you get my point? Little children don't like to watch people go potty.

Seen as it is an Anime aimed at younger audience, they wouldn't waste time on this. It's obvious they would need it any ways.

Digimon had to go to the bathroom. And I once got to see Korumon on potty.
Digimon's aimed at an older audience than Pokémon though.... and yet again that was for comedic effect.

Then there was the bit where Koromon shat in Sora's cousin's new car. BAD KOROMON.

Pokemon doesn't really resort to toilet humour for laughs, like a lot of other children's shows...it only has about twice throughout over 500 episodes and it was only burping. A few more times in the dub because 4Kids thought it would be funny to add in the dialogue. So that's why they don't randomly say "I need to go to the tiolet" or whatever, as usually it's done for comedy effect, which Pokemon will not resort to, really.

Honestly, why does it matter? Seriously, why would you want to see a pokemon crapping anyway? It's a cartoon aimed for children, they don't need to add in stuff like that. Like it was said before, they are living creatures. It's just common sense that they go to the toilet, just not on screen :S

Ok, well, that certainly makes sense, seeing how it did look like Omanyte's shell. I always wondered why they would call that spiral shell-shape feces. Though, that does bring up another plothole: why were Gary's cheerleaders acting like "eew! gross" in the japanese version if it was an ammonite shell? I mean, at least with the feces part in the dub, it was understandable, but their being grossed out at an Ammonite Fossil seemed a bit random.

I don't think there was a point for having anyone going to the bathroom. xD
And they gotta make it "child-friendly" so yeah...I guess....>.>

I don't think little kids would appreciate the anime showing how Pokemon go to the bathroom.

It's not good for your hygiene, y'know.
It's not good for the mind either. Someone might be scarred for life by watching thirty minutes of Brock taking a dump on Nurse Joy's desk. Like a Boss!

Seriously though, Pokémon and humans are still living things, so they do indeed need to go behind the bushes at times, but that doesn't mean that it's suppose to be shown.

Lol... that would be a rather large amount, as he has been rejected since the beginning... >.>

I wish cartoons had more animaniac humour (no not the blatant slapstick).

At least, you made a Marx Bros reference, which made me happy. This topic on the other hand, well....

Here, if you have to discuss it, use the right tropes.

Noticed a slight bit of wank earlier on the thread. Keep it sane and clean (as possible), and I'll keep it open. Okies?

man why is everyone mad at me all I di is post a simple thread. Sheesh. Guys you need to cool and be chill with it.

I saw a public toilet in the episode Jun FIRST appears in.

they go during the add breaks so they dont waste time for the show

how come mario doesnt go to the bathroom even if youve been plying three days straight wile peeing in a cup wile playing so you dont have to go to the bathroom?

Ah, the magic of Television , but if I had to think about it, I'd say they do their business in their Poké balls, but what about wild Pokémon? well, they just do it off camera. :P

I wonder how the Pokemon would handle the stench. Seriously.

Since this is a kids show, "They don't go to the restroom" would be a completely sane and legit answer to this.

Well, maybe it was Ammonite[Omatyte?] feces or someting.
