Yes, both Charmander and Bulbasaur have new variants, but both are not in the game yet. I add the Pokemon to the game based on their in game location and currently only Squirtles in game location in included in this release.
I made plans for the gen 2 starters, they will be in the game with new "forms".

The current release has two gym battles. After the second gym battle the demo ends. I released this version as a showcase, the next release will include the full game but this will take at least until early 2025.
The playtime is probably between 3-4 hours in the current release.

Please delete the save file under User/Saved Games/Pokemon Inheritance and start a new game, this should fix this issue.
Usually this error means that a sprite is missing. In case you did not unzip the game, you could also try to unzip the rar. file first.
And just in case you used a save file from Pokemon Ruby Red, this is not compatible with Pokemon Inheritance.

Yes, the fairy type is in the game.
Cyndaquill was planned for the previous game as Electric/Fire. I have certain plans for the Gen 2 Starters, but I haven't worked on it yet.

Small Update:
The Mart in Nymania Town has the DayNight function activated, because that map is treated as an outdoor map. I have corrected this now, but this is nothing game breaking, so for now I will wait for more bug/error reports to release an updated version of the game.

1. Pokemon Inheritance will be on a short hiatus until mid of February due to time constraints.

2. I plan to release a second playable demo up to the fourth gym next year. Initially I wanted to release the full game in 2025 after the current demo, but I think for the development of the game a second demo will be more optimal.

3. As there are many new variants and Fakemon in the game I will introduce a feature or a location file. This will give you the chance to plan your teams early on if you wish to.

4. Below is a new character for the next release, following directly after the events in Saguaro City. Isis is a guardian with the role of protecting the sun god's treasure and you will be tasked to help her protecting the treasure in the next update.

Hi, I want to give a short update on the game. I am working on new tiles for the game since a few weeks together with another artist. In the screenshot you can see some new flowers, a new grass tile and a new tree tile as a sneak peek. The overall style of the game will not change, but there will be some new fresh tiles to give the game a more unique feeling. Furthermore, some new and much needed tiles for the next locations will be worked on in the next weeks, which will allow me to work on new areas in the game and make the game development easier.

Here is the adapted version with icon89 and icon90 to eliminate the SpriteWindow error when opening the menu with Voltorb/Electrode in a team.
As this was not a planned update my additional note is, in this version Route 5 is a little longer and items are available, although a few trainers are still missing on this route because I haven't added them here yet, but all trainers from the previous version on Route 5 are still there. A few graphics have been renewed. The game continues until the second gym like previous version. The old save should still work. No new areas, as mentioned this is just to fix this (hopefully) specific error.

Preparations are currently underway to release the next version.
The game is currently undergoing the final work on the story, after which a few adjustments will be made to the PBS files, after which the testing phase will finally begin in order to prevent possible game errors.
Since there were some major changes to the previous version, the old version will not be compatible with the new version, but I'll leave the link to the old version in this thread until the new version is out.

Thank you for not giving up on this game, i really enjoy playing this game. Please stay healthy
 
Short update time as it has been a while: I've spent the last few weeks working on and correcting many individual parts of the game. I still need to make a few minor tweaks to the tiles and do a few test runs to hopefully eliminate any bugs that might still appear. Other than that, the game is almost ready for the next release. I can't give an exact date yet, but I expect the next demo to be released in May.
