Pokemon Jade (Name Could Change)

Hey Everybody, I use to hang around here quite a bit and learnt a few hacking skills but never actually used them. I then strayed away from Rom Hacking and it was never a big part of my daily life. However recently I have come back to the scene and this time I have actually started my own hack, which I hope to complete to a very high standard. So without further ado I introduce to you:

Pokemon Jade

Hack of: Fire Red

History

The legendary siblings Latios and Latias have always been known to be as old as time and with their psychic abilities they have been able to keep a record of every event in Pokemon and Human history, hence why this story is so well known in the Latio Region

Many Regions of the Pokemon World have changed over time due to weathering etc, but the Latio and Latia Regions are different.

Long ago before Humans roamed the Regions of the Pokemon World the Pokemon that lived in the World were split up between Regions as they are nowadays, the Icefire Region however was deemed one of the best Regions by the Pokemon that inhabited it. The Icefire Region had come together by sheer luck, many believe it was created by two of the Legendary Bird Pokemon: Moltres and Articuno, no matter how the Region was created it broke most of the logical rules in how it formed. The Icefire Region contained a mixture of Ice and Fire beneath and above it's Rocky surface, steam had originally been created by the mixture of the two elements and soon some of the rocky ground started to become lush and green. With this combination of elements all around the Pokemon that inhabited the Icefire region could move to different climates quite easily, and Migration was easy and safe for all the Pokemon.

However the Icefire Region was sought after by so many other Pokemon that knew of the Region and whilst there had been fights over it before, but none had been so dangerous and controversial. On what would have been seen as an ordinary day the two siblings were seen in the Sky fighting over what could only be believed as the Icefire Region. Many Pokemon took no notice to begin with and just saw this as a normal fight until the sky started to darken due to the immense anger that the siblings were releasing. The two Eon Pokemon carried on fighting whilst the whole of the Icefire Region watched them in fear until both siblings, who were both exhausted but neither wanted to give up, both started charging up a dragonbreath move each, the other Pokemon could tell this was going to be bad as both Pokemon were charging longer than any other time they had used this move, when finally they fired their moves which collided in the middle. As both Dragonbreath's hit each other the power that was being sent out by the Eon Pokemon was being stored up in a bright orange ball until the ball could take no more and released all the energy that had been built up the blast was so big that a wave was sent out for hundreds of miles and within that blast the Icefire Region was hit, this caused a large crack in the Region and the Region was split into two. Both Latios and Latias were hit by the wave as well both being flinged into a different half of what used to be the Icefire Region, both fled into an unknown place (this has always been hidden for the saftey of the Pokemon) and until present day are still resting.

Story

Another original story :P

Centuries after the epic battle between Latios and Latias the Icefire Region is no more. Now there are two Regions: Latio and Latia (imagination or what) Pokemon Jade (could be changed) takes place in the Latio Region where you play as either a boy or a girl on their 13th Birthday who has finally been allowed to become a Pokemon Trainer and are given a Pokemon and a Pokedex, you then set off with your new Pokemon to become the Pokemon Master of Latio, however their have been rumors of Pokemon being snatched and no one knows who's doing it. So it's best to be on your guard.

I'm just saying, but your mapping is kind of bland with a number of tile errors...Try to brush up on that...

Mareep is the only starter Pokemon yes, but there might be ways of getting other, rare, pokemon. At the moment I am only sticking with the Latio Region, if there is space I might put in the Latia Region but I don't want to give promises I cannot keep. I am not too sure on the features, personally I think that it is like another Game from Gamefreak (which I want to keep a bit) I am sure that I will update this with new features as I think and implement them. I like the sound of Pokemon Eon, Pokemon Lati is a bit general when I might do another version with Latias as the main Pokemon.

Not really lol, I tried for the showcase, oh well shows I need to do more work to it :P.

I know my mapping isn't brilliant, but they are just concepts as I am focusing on the scripting them going over the graphical to make it work and edit anything that I need to.

ummm its not that good your mapping skills are a bunch of tile errors but you can look on maps and improve them but i will belive in you ill keep on checking i was think you should remap the towns and routes and start again well good luck

Like I said, the maps are not my biggest worry atm, I will redo them and I know there are tile errors but they are more concept maps so you can see the new tiles. Scripting to me is more important as that is the skill that can change the game whilst the mapping just makes it look good.

Thanks, I might need it, but I am sure the more I map the better they will get till I am really happy with them. Scripting is easy when you finally know what to do :P plus i am not really a creative person, hence why the scripting is more my thing :D
