The premise of the story is you are a new Pokemon trainer. For years and years, you've watched the Johto League championships and have even thought about embarking on a journey, but until now, you've been too young. After your 12th birthday, you finally get permission from your mother to go to Professor Elm and get your first Pokemon. But Prof. Elm isn't there in the lab. When you go to look at the Pokemon balls one is gone. Then when you head onto the route you see Prof. Elm exhausted and out of breath. "Ah, you're the one who came to get your Pokemon right? Do pardon me I am Prof. Elm. A young boy in red just stole one of my Pokemon and that's why I'm out of breath". Eventually you head back to Elm's lab, get your first Pokemon and you couldn't be more excited.

However, before a trainer can enter the Johto League's they need to have gotten every Gym Leaders badge. This way, the Johto Leagues keep newbies out. But on your way out, you see a troubled individual named Silver, who immediately pushes you out of the way. Why he was there, no one knows, but you know that you'll see him again. And that's where your journey to become one of the strongest Pokemon trainers.

So yeah that's the story for it... here are some features I'd like to implement...

    - The Johto League is something I'd like to implement. You'd be able to enter when you had all 8 badges. This would basically be where you'd fight trainer after trainer until you reach the finals.

    - A lot of quests and sidequests where you can help other trainers and become friends with them.

    - Possibly being able to play through Silver's story.

    - Possibly weather.

    - Possibly a new region... But this could mean no Kanto.

    - New Locations

    - Remixed GSC Music

So yeah that's my idea. Whether it gets done is all up to whether I'm willing to do the work or not.

Well this is just plain generic ain't it?
Just as failed and generic as a post that can't give reason for said "failure" but post a generic image. And no I don't think it's failure.

jeez give him a break that picture wasnt funny, but i bet it made you feel better bout yourself. Hop off.

@ Magnius: I think you could change up the story a bit..Give it a better reason. It sounds like a G/S/C remake to me..Just change up some of the oarts and your set ;)

    That was random and stupid.
Why not explain why you think this is a failure? Generic comments are against the forum's rules, anyway.
And I think this hack idea is much better than the average Scrapbox/Hacks Showcase hack ideas~

Also, Magnius, you should mention which ROM you'll be hacking in the first post.

Yep, it is. But it's not that simple though as you start in New Bark Town and you beat gym leaders until you go to the Pokemon League, that's boring. Like I said there will be many sidequests and stuff in here. Sometimes while traveling you might encounter a trainer in trouble with a wild Pokemon or you might need to save someone. And it's all very rewarding in the end(With cash prizes and even TM's, Berry's and the like). You can even do completely optional, but lengthy quest that'll get you a rare Pokemon. But these won't be I mean the thing with the main character is, he's just a big time Pokemon fan who thought it would be cool to become a trainer. These quests well also help your player meet other trainers.

There will be twist though and let's leave it at that.

Magnius, ignore a nuisance like him, if you may.

anyways, the story is a bit likely to be Johto based games, however, I do hope to see more progress, especially the music, since that's what you are good at, for at least, that's what I have always thought about you, good at music. ;)

good luck with this hack project~

is this hack in the planning stage? if not can we have some screenshhots.

Hey hey, no name calling here. We're all friends here. And yes, it's in the planning stages. Another thing I plan to change about this game is the starters. I'm thinking instead of having the original starters to choose from like Totodile and stuff, I'm gonna have two different Johto based starters. Right now I'm thinking of using Tyrogue and Mareep as starters. This'll put a totally new spin on the gameplay than GSC had.
