Hi, my name is SquishyBoots. I have become an addict to ROM Hacking lately. I wanted to make my own hack so I am finally going to try and complete this goal of mine...

My hack is called Pokemon Lunar Steel
It is a hack of Fire Red

The Story!!

You awake one morning in the small subterranean town of PEBBLEBROOK and decide that, like your father, you want to be a great Pokemon master. So, you go to Prof. Stone's lab to recieve your very first Pokemon. There you meet your rival. She's a strong-willed, dedicated girl that just so happens to the good professor's granddaughter. She has it set in her mind that even if you beat her, she'll always be victorious in the end. But little does she know that your father will do anything for you to become the World's Greatest Pokemon Master.

Your Father: His name is Larch. He leads an evil organization bent on taking over the world and reverting all of it's Pokemon back into their primitive states. He hopes that one day you will sit at his right hand as the Prince of THYAR.

The Dark Rangers: The evil organization that detest all trainers. They're only goal is to be pawns of Larch and help him to achieve his ultimate goal of reviving the GREAT ONE from its stone imprisonment and then use its power to control the world. Also, they have a secondary goal: to gain unimaginable wealth and power by using Pokemon reverted into their primitive forms.

The THYAR Region: Every town with the region has a river or other body of water within its boundaries. Every Pokemon found within this region is one of two things: a genetic experiment that was released to the wild or a Pokemon that migrated from other regions and changed its color due to the strange field of atmospheric energies that surround the THYAR region.

Oh and I have a question... can someone tell me a program that let's me change the trainer sprites?

try UNLZ.gba thats a good program to change the trainer sprites or almost anthing else thats graphically related to the game. If you want to change the OW's try Overworld Editor - Rebirth Edition. Hope this helps;)

XD... I actually have both of those... I use OE-RE a little bit but didn't know what UNLZ did... like I said, I'm new to the world of hacking... but thx Aljam

Just one question... i'm not sure if I got it wrong but..... your father HATES pokemon trainers, but want you to be the best of all? Like... what?

And if they are so in favor of returning pokémon to their original form, with no genetic changes and stuff, it just... doesn't sound too much taking-over-the-world-like to me. How are these things related?

But, i REALLY liked the idea of having your father as the Evil Team's leader. But, are you going to be AGAINST him? Fight him, trying to stop him from fulfilling his dreams? Are you for genetic changed pokemon? Why?

Anyway, with a little bit more of story development... I certainly believe this could be a great hack!
I just suggest you to "study" a bit more of hacking before really showing off your progress here... i mean.. just try some things out... and then really go for the official mapping and scripting. That's going to make your early life in rom hacking a lot less frustrating.

I mean... at least this is MY philosophy. But you sure can show us some progress to be evaluated to help you improving.

This was just the beginning of the story... You see the THYAR Region is known for its amazing scientists... most of them are blood relatives to the people that screated Mewtwo... so they are crazy about genetic experiments...

Yes, your father hates Pokemon trainers, but he has a soft spot for you, because your his blood, so he wants you to be the best, even if it goes completely against his dreams. But he only hates that the Pokemon trainers refuse to either give up or join him... therfore, he says the he entirely hates them... hope this clears up about what you aksed...

Oh, and you are completely against your father... but he just accepts that and tried to convert you to his side through battles... (He's really a good guy at heart... the smartest scientist in THYAR and rejected b/c of his dream to turn Pokemon into the primitive form because it means that they are extremely hard to control... without hurting them that it...)

Everyone in THYAR is completely for geneticly changed Pokemon... just part of their philosophy... but they also like the rare color changed Pokemon
