Okay so I started and name myself Ryuu, got my starter (Cyndaquil) then caught my Gastlys at Sprout Tower, and trained one until it had curse and Hypnosis/cursed Falkner's Pokemon until they were KO'ed, I then proceeded to get my Zephyr badge, and entered route 32 and saved =D.

Well I got through the cave with the Onix dude in it and beat the Rockets in the Slowpoke well, then beat the gym trainers and saved in front of Bugsy

Well, today I finished the sprout tower and beat Falkner, so my Sentret is now level eleven, with tackle, defense curl, and quick attack in her arsenal, and my Rattata is now level ten with tackle, tail whip, and quick attack in its arsenal. I do not have my game on me to check their stats, but they are doing good.

All right, beat bugsy and my rival (By a Hair) and am currently in Ilex forest (And I bred my Gengar and Misdreavus in my other game to get a Lv5 Misreavus, that I traded to Gold for Pidgey) I trained Misdrevus until it was Lv20 and then saved in the middle of Ilex forest.

Went through route 34 until I got to the Gym, Hypnosis/Psywaved her Pokemon with Misdreavus, and placed Gastly iand Misdreavus in the daycare, walked around for a while came back, got the egg and walked around for a long time until it hatched, then I got back Misdrevus and Gastly and started to train Misdreavus No. 2 at the National Park.

This may be a stupid question but I am new so please forgive me. What types are left at the moment? I would love to get in on this. It sounds like quite a bit of fun!

If trading is allowed, how about steel types and dragon types? What about Ice? There are so many more types available D:
EDIT: Hot damn, people have been dropping like flies.

That said, I may consider the rock type.

beat Falkner with lvl16 Quilava [tackle, leer, smokescreen, ember]
got through union cave (lvl 20)
saved the slowpoke
beat rival
easily beat bugsy with lvl23 quilava [tackle, quick attack, smokescreen, ember]
got through the forest
egg hatched
caught lvl13 Vulpix (Kyuubi)
beat the kimono girls
beat rival
caught Magmar (Blain)
train ALOT
beat morty with lvl27 Vulpix, lvl29 Magmar and lvl30 Quilava
beat jasmin with lvl30 Vulpix, lvl32 Magmar and lvl32 Quilava. going to hunt down all the HMs i seem to be missing...

lvl30 Vulpix- quick claw: ember, quick attack, safeguard, confuse ray
lvl32 Magmar- ember, fire punch, smog, smokescreen
lvl32 Quilava- charcoal: flame wheel, ember, quick attack, smokescreen

might up-date later today.
 
Is this challenge still going on? I noticed the thread has been idle for a couple weeks now, and I was wondering what types were currently available or if it's been dropped altogether.

If it's still going on and the type is available, I'd like to try grass or poison.
