Few weeks ago on the offficial Japanese Pokemon movie website, i subscribed my e-mail into i have no idea, and they sent me a Message in my inbox, i used Babel fish (crappy) i figured out a link leads to a jigsaw puzzle, i solved it and it said:

    10(JPN crctr)08(JPN crctr)

I beleive 10 is the month of october and 08 must be 2008 since obviously a movie comes out every year, it seems the japanese a accurate in release dates but i'm not really sure, if anyone knows japanese to decipher this i'll be glad:

Good Info. Yeah you are right its on 10/08

That's weird, as they're usually released in July or so. It doesn't matter, but it's an interesting way to break the pattern.

I think you've got it backwards....October 8th seems WAY too late for a Japanese release. (D-P-D, Manaphy and Lucario were all released in early summer by comparison)

It's more likely saying *8/10*, August 10th, not October 8th.

Well we might not figure out the truth untill someone that knows japanese goes there... because i only know Katakana.... But

It said 10_ 08_. Please read carefully because if it were on August then it would be 8_10_08 but due to accuracy reasons, they put only the 10th month, which is october

That can still be August 10th. I've seen them sometimes write dates as day, then month. It certainly wouldn't be the first time that happened, anyway.

Well the DVD release date for Dialga VS Palkia VS Darkrai is in December. So you never know.

Uhh, I hate to break the fun, but it just a timer...

    Japanese dates would look like
月 stands for moon or month
    日 stands for day
2007年11月2日 for example, (on top of the e-mail) would mean 2nd November 2007

BTW these symbols are being used in Chinese too to write the date.

The numbers that you are talking to is a timer that keep running while you get the puzzle done.
In your case it took 10 minutes and 8 seconds to solve the puzzle.

I got the puzzle solved in 7 seconds. Below is a hyperlink to prove it ;)

No, that was just an example. My guess for the 11th movie would be 19 July 2008. But don't pin me down on this.

Always July, never Any other Month

In the UK it goes Day/Month/Year. Month/Day/Year still looks funny to me...

Just out of interest do Japanese dates go Day/Month/Year or Month/Day/Year?
