    Why Fullscreen is bad?
Fullscreen may show the whole image on a 4:3 TV, but it's a disavantage to 16:9 computer monitors and HDTVs

Fullscreen copies loses 45% of the image of the widescreen copy and you lose the ability to see what happen on the side of the widescreen copy.

Fullscreen copies are cropped from widescreen copies.

    Why Widescren is important?
Widescreen provides more picture, and it gives a better prespective opposed to Fullscreen. Widescreen is like totally good on HDTV because you don't get Pillarboxing (black bars on left and right of the screen)

I think it looks a lot more.. uh.. movie-like...? in a widescreen format. :P

well i find more watching the us version rather than the jap version well first the jap version is 4.3 moniter but if we watch 16.9 that gives us more pictures and good quality is well

this is my opinion and this is a free country everyone has opinions to share don't u think so

Since all Pokémon movies are widescreen, it would indeed annoy me to see them in fullscreen. But... Fullscreen is not necessary a bad thing. For example, I would hate to see Mewtwo Returns in widescreen, because that would mean that some cropping is applied because the original version is fullscreen.

In my opinion the only bad thing in the whole widescreen vs fullscreen issue is the widescreen to fullscreen conversion (and visa versa). Basically if it was originally fullscreen I would want to see it in fullscreen and if it was widescreen I want to see it in widescreen. Modern tv's can handle widescreen/fullscreen by adding the black bars.

BTW: I use to have screenshots of the 3rd movie, I'll recap them later. It's from the intro where Lisa and Ash commands their Pokémon to attack (and point out to each other's Pokémon). In the widescreen version both Lisa and Ash are visible. In de fullscreen version only Mankey and Cyndaquil are visible. Then you suddenly see two hands pointing on the edges of the screen. That for some reason looked weird.

widescreen looks the best.. but I think watching it at its original size is best.. nothing is deprived.. hahas.
just a lil sth to add on to this thread~ :P

I prefer Widescreen, because I get all the picture, and also because I prefer the way it was originally.
