Have any of you felt that Game Freak making a game every year is moving too fast? Or maybe not? I do. Since d/p nintendo rushed through all these new games without actually finishing the older ones. When I say that I mean bring forth ALL of the events that is possible. For example, I doubt they even released the Azure Flute event that unlocks Arceus in d/p/pt. Nor did they give us the events for the poketch apps. Now we are already in the HG/SS part and recently only got the Celebi event that unlocks the battle against Giovanni you would have 5 years before. All of a sudden, Black and White are coming out tomorrow, but we still do not have the Azure Flute Arceus to unlock a second Legendary in the ruins. And, we still did not get PokeWalker courses for all events. I feel that Nintendo best slow down or most of our games will stay unfinished.

That too, where is U.S.'s version of Goon's Scizor and NZ Manaphy?

I may be the only one who feels this way, but post your thoughts here.

I think Gamefreak certainly put more attention to the U.S because the japanese get much more events than we ever get to have. Also yay Nitendo probably forgot all about the azure flute and most likely we will never get it. I can wait till i get black tommorrrow but im stuck in the 4th generation lol =)

Game Freak have pretty much exhausted their resources developing a game every year at this point, and along with the presence of the next-generation handheld consoles (one of which is already out), is a pretty good reason for why we're probably not going to see the next Pokémon game until the end of 2012 (and likely not until 2013 for an English version). Which gives us plenty of time for the BW events to had distributed.

I think they slow down after the release of a new generation, in terms of main games. And in the case of the Azure Flute...I think that's just a case of "lol japan is superior!1" and that's why none of us got it. Or it's programmed in there solely because they knew people would hack. -shrug- Beats me. But I think Pokemon is going at a nice speed. Then again, I missed most gen IV events nor do I care about Pokewalker courses.

We can try to predict the release of the next B/W event, but for what I have seen, there isn't much "event related" parts of the game to it. I don't know about you guys, but they just don't have much affect on B/W.

Actually, I have heard that Pokemon Gray version is going to come out in about a year or more. Making a 3rd game for B/W. And possibly they will recreate Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald soon, but we'll have to see about that.

No, I don't think so. I think they are going a good pace.

I also think they're moving too fast. I haven't even beaten HGSS and the new games are already out.
The games' speed being antiproportional to the rate GF is spitting them out doesn't help me beating them in time either.

So, black and white has already come out and I can already see that Pokemon Grey(?) Will come out in a year. We probably won't get some of the events.

Except it's taken Game Freak two years to develop a sequel the past two times they've released a new game (Ruby / Sapphire and Diamond / Pearl both had their respective improvements two years later)

IMO, i feel like the overall evolution of the franchise is a little slow. Considering there is still no game you can visit all regions/gyms, no character customization options other than the name, and the overall graphics have changed a minimal amount of times. I think if the game progressed as fast as the anime, we'd have all of this and muuuuuch more.

Game Freak certainly went too fast with Pokemon, I mean they put the auto use for the Running Shoes in HGGSS but totally forgot it in BW T_T
It's annoying... 'cuz Pokethlon last only one game, unlike Pokemon Contest...

You can't compare developing a game to drawing a cartoon. The methods of production are completely different, not to mention how animation is a medium with much less restrictions than a video game.
