[Other✓] Pokemon multiplayer rom hack idea pc only

If you want the client to be able to work with another like that, there's a lot of recoding to do, since Pok?mon games just aren't designed to do that. It seems YOU misunderstod what *I* wrote.

At least to clarify to whoever is reading this now. Both clients never interact with each other, they don't need to, all the "recording"i need to do is detect key press like adding a hotkey that moves a specific npc.

OK then how did you get the position of it to begin with?

The npc starts with the client in the same room as in the base spawn point, as i expect both players to connect and start together, look this is quite confusing and flawed that's why i made this post im just looking for help don't have this bother you.

Read my earlier replies. I've explained answers for all of this before, and you're saying dumb garbage now, so I'm not repeating myself anymore. Goodbye, kid.

You think you have, but actually three people in this thread have all managed to misunderstand you in the same way and you're not explaining yourself clearly at all. I noticed that you can't even give one-word answers to "what games have you worked on" and "is Quake 3's network code storing data in the client", which you obviously have not answered before. Good riddance.

"warping" is in the back of my mind right now due to my lack of knowledge in rom hacking but i do think about it.

Anyway im currently looking for a way to actually detect specific key press in the game and react to it by moving an npc.

Ah okay, so it sounds like what you need to do is modify your emulator. The ROM itself is (obviously) completely oblivious to keys, it only knows about the buttons on a real GBA. Once you're hacking on the emulator it's trivial to put an NPC into the game and move it around, because you have full control over all the memory (although I would not be surprised if on some maps this means replacing an NPC that already exists, because the map is at its limit).

I think it would be easier to try to (ab)use the link cable support in the game first, have you tried making the link cable room much bigger and seeing which things work and which things don't? My memory is hazy, but I thought that No$GBA had a feature that was exactly like "split screen one keyboard".

Actually, no, it was just two of you, the ones that clearly have no idea what they're taking about and clearly have no experience. *actually* read my earlier replies. All of them.

Goodbye, lame child, hope I don't have to have another notification from you again.
