Elysia tilted her head and nudged him. "Silver please. For me eat" she whispered in his ear hoping to snap him out of his thoughts. She worried about him more than she had ever let him know but slowly as he put of eating and sleeping that frantic worry was beginning to show. Watching him with tear filled eyes Elysia was prepared to beg him to eat if he still refused to.

Silver snapped back to reality as she nudged him. She was teary-eyed, wanting him to eat. He wrapped his paws around her warmly.

"I can't... I have to stay lightweight so that I can better defend you... I'm not letting anyone get to you ever again. Never."

He held her close, his fur soft, rubbing against hers. The reason behind his 'diet' becoming apparrent. He thinks he's out of shape for fighting and trying to starve himself.

A chansey came in that second with two trays of food, obviously notcing her hunger and his, well, eating disorder. Silver ignored it, still hugging her. He looked at a mirror. To him, he seemed overweight, even lethargic. To everyone else, he was dangerously thin, and this probably made him weaker. The Chansey suddenly stepped forward and pulled him away from Elysia.

"Please, you have to eat sir, you could die at any moment!!" she said, struggling to keep him in her grasp.

"E-elysia!!"

He called to her as the Chansey restrained him to the bed on the opposite side of the room.

"Elysia!!!"

He kept wailing for her, over and over, as the Chansey kept him down, trying to make him eat, but unable to because he squirmed so much, trying to get to her.

"Elysia!!"

He wailed again, getting more panicked each time. The Chansey gave up trying to force-feed him, so she walked over to Elysia and asked,

"I can't make him eat a thing... Could you try reasoning with him? He obviously nee--"

"Elysia!!!!"

His voice wailed from the other room, still restrained. He sounded like he was going to die, or rather, that he thought Elysia was going to. Same thing to him.

"-- He needs you in there.." She continued, stating the obvious. "Maybe you can get him to eat..."

Elysia whimpered and was out of her bed in a flash and in the room Silver was in. She was crying as she took the restraints off him and held him close rocking both of them back and forth. "I'm here, I'm here!" she wailed holding him tighter because he was so thin.

Chansey put her paw over her mouth as she watched the two in surprise.

Silver relaxed when she came in, unharmed. He felt his fur fall back down, as it had risen in distress. He held her back, tightly. Obviously, her sudden disappearance in the cave had left him really shaken up, far more than he had let anyone know. He was crying now as he held onto her tightly and snuggled his head under hers. Apparently taking the two apart from each other was killing him even more. The Chansey gasped in surprise.

"M-my apologies! I had no idea he..." She trailed off. She was planning to put the restraints back on, but Silver had no intention of running, when Elysia was with him. She placed the two trays of food beside the bed and whispered to Elysia,

"It's important that you make him eat... He could die any minute now from his condition!"

With that, she parted, leaving to two alone. She was right. Any moment now Silver could die from starvation, whether he knew it or not.

Elysia cried harder as Chansey whispered that to her. "S..Silver...p..ple...please e...e..eat!" she wailed hugging him tighter as she sobbed. "I..If..y..you don...don't yo..you'll...d..d..die!" she wailed over and over. This whole experience had shaken her up just as much as it had to Silver. "I'm not eating til you do, and if you die on me I will kill myself!"

Silver nearly jumped out of his skin when she threatened suicide. His eyes were wide and he shook uncontrolably, fear in his stare, directed at her.

Sh-she wouldn't r-rreally... K-kill.....

His thoughts trailed. He gave up instantly to that and ate slowly, one piece at a time, constantly glancing at Elysia to make sure she knew he was. He was scared now, of what she might to, to herself. It took him an hour and a half to finally finish the plate, eating small bits at a time. Tears rushed from his eyes the entire time, and even when he finished he still cried, trembling, as he held onto her from the side, terrified, crying and shaking.

"P-please d-d-don't die..."

He kept mumbling into her fur. She had scared him senseless with the suicide threat.

Elysia kept crying as she watched him eat slowly not touching her food in concern for him. She knew how much her threat of suicide had scared him just from the look in his eyes when she said it. "Shh, Shh" she whispered rocking him back and forth soothingly. "I only would do that if you died Silver" she added voice even softer than before.

Silver curled up with Elysia and sobbed continuously. He still didn't like knowing that she was going to die like that if he died. He moaned and whimpered in grief and layed on his side, his head down on her lap as he cried and cried... The Chansey decided she couldn't watch anymore, or she might join them in crying.

"H-here..." She handed Elysia a container of pills and whispered, "If he takes these, it will make him hungry. Use that to make him eat whenever he needs to..." And with that she left.

Silver didn't notice a thing, still crying and whimpering, head rested on her lap.

Elysia nodded in thanks setting the pills to the side before focusing her attention on Silver. She still had one more thing about her threat to say before comforting him. "The only other reason I would is if you left me like Sparky left us" she whispered before holding him in her arms rocking him back and forth petting him as she began to sing softly. She had never ever sang for Silver before because she believed she had a terrible singing voice but wanted to see if it would help him like he helped her. Like he did she sang songs of love, togetherness, as well as a few assuring him that she would never leave him.

He felt butterflies and tickly feelings as she sang. Truly wonderful.

S-she sounds amazing...

He felt a lot better, even almost smiled. He nuzzled into her more and sat up, resting his head at her shoulder.

I wonder what it would sound like if we sang together...

He couldn't even imagine how extraordinary it would be. His head at her shoulder, his arms around her, he pondered it. She might be able to sing in public, but he surely couldn't. He rethought it. Maybe if they were together as they sang, he might have the courage to...

He quietly nuzzled his head against her cheek affectionately.

"I-I'll n-never go... Ever..."

Elysia smiled and nuzzled him back. "I love you to much to let you go" she whispered lovingly after she stopped singing. She saw it had helped calm him down but still believed she didn't have a good singing voice. She thought his was much better than hers but was glad it had calmed him.

Smiling she relaxed in his arms resting her chin on his shoulder glad to just be close to him. After all that had happened she didn't know if she would be able to take it if they weren't within arms reach of each other at all times.

Silver felt her get closer and loved it. He held her even closer and snuggled with her, blushing again, smiling now. He never wanted her to leave his sight, he wanted to always be holding her. He thought about the singing idea.

"M-my voice isn't nearly as good as yours, but... W-what if... W-we sang together...?"

He thought of millions of love songs that were duets; endless possibilities.

Elysia blushed as he held her closer and snuggled back with him. She smiled knowing he had just made it clear he always wanted her close to him. When he suggested the singing together idea she hid her face in his chest. "I..I d..don't know...y..your voice is mu..much better than m..mine" she whispered shyly.

Silver groaned.

"Nu-uh, yours is the best I have ever heard, way better than mine..."

He snuggled with her more. It seems they were in a competition of 'who sings worse' which is just plain silly.

Elysia giggled at him. "Your singing voice makes me feel so safe" she whispered smiling and kissing him lovingly. "It makes me feel loved and secure with you." she added blushing hard as she nuzzled him.

Cross paced back and forth at the Pokemon Center. He didn't know what to do. He felt useless. He felt morally responsible for Cairo, and he might die right now. He tried to stop the tears from running down his eyes. He wanted to at least appear strong in front of the others. He felt them coming and ran outside to get air. Very likely, his best friend could be dead very soon, and there wasn't a thing Cross could do about it.

"If only I were stronger..." Was all he could blurt out.

"Clear!" Chansey shocked Cairo's lifeless body once, twice, thrice. No use. His eyes were closed and his heart stopped beating. Chansey tried again, but this time she did something else. She used her healing wish, and zapped Cairo. At first nothing happened, but after a while Cairo slowly opened his eyes. Chansey sighed in relief and fainted (healing wish, remember?).

"C-Chansey." Cairo thanked her, but he still couldn't move. He was too weak. Good thing Chansey was just unconscious.

Cross...come here...Cairo sent a weak thought into the Tyrogue's mind

Cross heard something in his mind. Without a second thought, he rushed to the Center, passed the Emergency area. He continued moving through the sea of people, even as they told him he wasn't allow to be there.

He finally reached Cairo. He was awake. "Cairo! How ya doing buddy?" Cross was overjoyed that his friend was alive, but he held back tears. He didn't want to cry in public, or more like he didn't like to do it. It made him look weak. He wore a smile on his face.

Cairo waited for the Tyrogue to arrive. After a few seconds, he rushed into the center. When he asked if he was alright, Cairo didn't answer. He needed to save his energy. He just nodded at Cross and sent a weak thought, Good to have you here, pal....

Cairo was getting sleepy, and slowly closed his eyes and drifted into sleep.

Cross took a seat next to Cairo and rested a bit. His team had been through a lot. He was just happy that, for now, they were safe. Cairo had almost been killed. He had to be stronger next time. He looked at his everstone. Maybe, he thought. He put that thought out of his mind for now. He would know when he would be ready to do it. He liked being a Tyrogue. But if he needed to get stronger to protect his team, he would do whatever is necessary. He lay back in the seat and went to sleep next to Cairo, feeling secure enough to now that he knew his team was safe.
