Here is where you can discuss special "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky" that aired today.
To start off, there is a huge time gap between the end of the previous special and this on. Juptile has joined Hikozaru and Pochama.
Also since the last specials the stakes has been upped a lot. Time is starting to stop on various areas in the land.
I knew Pochama lot his memory, but he knew Juptile in the future. It seems time has stopped in the future and Pochama and Juptile came back to the past to fix that. Juptile also explained that should they succeed, they is a chance that they both would disappear.
Yonoir, also came back to the past to prevent Pochama and Juptile from succeeding. The battle, as well as the special itself, was extreme short. I was kinda feeling sad that Juptile didn't make it.
Pochama decides not to tell Hikozaru that he might cease to exists should their mission be completed, which also makes Pochama rather sad.
Next stop, Dialga...
Like I said the special itself is extreme short and ends with a major cliffhanger. At least it implies that there might be another sequal. Though it was short and the time gap, I really like the story: Pochama and Juptile coming from a timeless future to make time flow again.
Perhaps the writers assumed that the viewer was familiar with the games, which in my case I'm not, because I am getting the feeling that there is a big chunk of the story that seems to be missing. For example, Juptile just popped up in the special. When did he joined the team? Pochama's deja-vu was kinda explained in the previous special was explained, he was from the future, so he already experienced the events in the previous special, though he didn't remembered it.
I got some screenshots up from the special though this is very LQ: https://unown.webhop.org/?id=gallery:mds3
I'll update the page when I can grab a HQ version.
