My first fic, it has a huge storyline, and I'm planning on writing it out. If you have any suggestions or want to be a guest trainer, please let me know.
Chapter One: VS Charmander.
It is the aspiration of many people to become a pokemon master. This aspiration was no different for the four heroes of Pallet town. Years ago, four amazing trainers, the Pokedex holders, received their pokemon from the towns Pokemon expert: Professor Oak. This was the case for many, but these trainers had performed great acts of heroacy. They defeated Team Rocket, stopped a crazed man from destroying the world, and traveled to places far and wide. Little did they know that all of the open ends that they had left were to be trodden upon by Four new unwitting heroes who were about to embark upon their journey to become as great as the Pokedex holders.

A blonde haired boy groaned as the alarm clock went off. He hit the snooze button and rolled over. His mattress was the one thing he'd miss when he left. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't take it with him. He groaned when he thought about leaving his home town and traveling far and wide. It wasn't as though it excited him; nothing excited him these days. He'd been the ace trainer at the academy he'd been shipped off to as a child by his parents, but that didn't truly matter now. He'd only used rental pokemon, and when he'd graduated top of his class, he was taken home by his parents and told that now he could really leave and take care of himself. He slowly opened his eyes, and took in the sight of his room. It was plain white, just like his parents had made it while he had been at the academy. There were trainers manuals scattered across the white desk, and a laptop sitting to the side of the manuals. There were a few pictures of him and his friends at the academy, if you could call them that. Friends were just a polite way of saying that outside of being pitted against each other daily, they didn't argue. He looked out his window and saw a boy and two girls running down the street with smiles on their faces. They were probably heading towards Professor Oak's lab, he mused.
He knew who they were of course. The aspiring trainers: Michael and Lillie. The other girl's name was Meredith. The younger children worshipped her as a goddess simply because she had a pokemon: an eevee. He snorted, thinking about how weak it truly was. That eevee had never seen a battle in its life. It was apparently a gift from her father who had gone off to another region saying something about a cipher that he had to deal with. He turned from the window and walked into his closet. He'd already packed for this day. Apparently, none of the other kids from the academy had been taken out yet, so there was little chance of meeting them again, short of going back as a guest battler. Amazingly, the idea appealed to him. He looked at one of the articles on the home page on his laptop: Pokedex holders gone missing. He read the article and grinned. Some trainer had abducted high profile trainers from around the world. Amazingly, this did not phase him. Facing down some tough trainer was what he was used to. He got dressed into his blue jacket and black pants and sneakers. He looked at his hair in a mirror on the way out, and deemed it neat enough. He knew that his parents would most likely hold a celebration as soon as he walked out the door. He closed the door behind him, and didn't look back.
Michael, Lillie, and Meredith ran joyfully down the streets. The sun was shining, and they were on their way to see the start of the adventure of a lifetime. They ran past houses, and waved hello to their neighbors as they passed. Finally, they arrived at the lab. They slowed to a walk and entered. The inside of the lab was white, and had many aides looking up various facts in encyclopedias. They walked past several shelves until they found a man with gray hair and a lab coat wearing a purple shirt, khaki pants, brown shoes and a brown belt. He turned and said, "Ah, hello there. You must be two of the lucky trainers waiting to receive their first pokemon. I am Professor Samuel Oak," stated the professor, smiling at them. "Ah, Meredith, how are you?" he asked looking at Meredith. She blushed, and then mumbled, "I'm fine, how are you." "I'm fine as well," replied the professor before turning to Michael and Lillie. "Have you decided which pokemon you two would like?" he asked them, and then he pushed a button. Three pokeballs rose out of a machine. Lillie picked first. "I think…" she thought about it quietly, "I choose Bulbasaur." She reached forward and took the Pokeball that Professor oak held out for her to take. She opened the Pokeball and released a green reptilian pokemon with a seed on its back. She bent down and said, "Hey bulbasaur, I'm Lillie, and I'm sure we'll be the best of friends." While Lillie was getting acquainted, Michael stepped forward and said with certainty, "I choose charmander." He took the pokeball and released a red lizard pokemon with a flame on its tail. Then he looked at Meredith, and said, "Since I have a pokemon now, do you wanna battle?" She was about to say, "Yes," when a voice sounded from behind them. "How about I battle you first?"
They turned around and saw Trey striding in. "I'll take Squirtle," he said to the Professor, who had already reached for the only remaining pokeball. He passed it to Trey, who sent out the small turtle pokemon. He grinned in anticipation of the upcoming battle. Michael got behind his charmander and the professor looked on in anticipation. "Charmander," commanded Michael, "use scratch!" "Squirtle, dodge it and use pound," Trey ordered. His pokemon dodged out of the way of Charmander's claws and then landed a hit of its own. "Squirtle, hit it with another pound," stated Trey. Squirtle complied and struck Michael's charmander with yet another pound attack, knocking out Michael's Charmander. Michael recalled Charmander and shot a dirty look at Trey before storming out. Trey allowed himself a small grin. Professor Oak walked up to him as Meredith and Lillie followed Michael out. "My my," he said, "I've never seen such a fantastic battle in my own laboratory before." "Thank you sir," said Trey respectfully. "I believe that I'll see great things from you in the future," the Professor continued, "and before you go, I have something I would like you to have." He held out a red device. "This is a pokedex," he said. "It is an encyclopedia for all of the pokemon you have met. I would like you to do me a favor though." Trey's eyes flashed from the pokedex back up to the Professor's eyes. "It is my dream to see this filled. So far, I have data on many pokemon, but ever since the first round of pokedex holder's disappeared, I have yet to see my dream fulfilled," he said. "I'll do my best professor," stated Trey, taking the pokedex and then turning around and walking out.
