Calvary the Empoleon: I was reminded of the calvary. She's a girl! :D
Rayleigh and Riley the Lucario: Riley's obvious, and Rayleigh is for all my female Lucario. O.O
Hikari the Blaziken: Why not name her this?
DeathsDoor the Darkrai: Yeah, yeah. I'm horrible, but doesn't the name fit? ^^;

I'll think of more. My brain's not in tonight. xD

Balthasar and Beatrice the twin Glaceon and Leafeon(respecitvely): Just cause I love those names...and they're fraternal twins. :D
 
Empoleon: Enchantrix
I had wanted to use this one for a long time. Enchantrix is my starter.

Lucario: Lyla
Pronounced LEE-La, I got this name from Cocorosie song, called Lyla.

Staraptor: Steelbeak
The tip of his beak was gray.

Luxray: Spynx
I misspelled sphinx, but I guess it looks okay. Right?

Heatran: Kalshazzak
Going against my policy of not naming stuff with book names, Heatran fit the description of the demon, Kalshazzak, from the first Harry Dresden book, Storm Front.

Giratina: Diablo
I'm pretty sure it means devil in Spanish.

Grovyle: Malawissa
In a book I read (The Waterstone) 'Malawissa' meant a tree that stood strong and tall in a storm.

Feraligatr: Rainstorm
 
My nicknames

Hi!

Here are some nicknames I've used for my Pokémon:

LG party Pokémon-

M2 (Mewtwo)- Named after the M2 Bind from Pokemon Special
Dragon (Charizard)- Because Charizard can learn Dragon-type moves
SPEEDY (female Venusaur)- My first Venusaur was quite fast so I named this one SPEEDY thinking that she would be fast too.

Pearl party Pokémon

Red (Gyarados)- Named after Red from Pokemon Special, of course! :D
Leafy*heart icon* (Torterra)- Simply because it's a Grass-type. It sounds more suitable for a Bulbasaur though.
Space (Palkia)- Palkia is the deity of space and I really couldn't think of anythind else XD.
Tara (Staraptor)- All the evos in this line have "star" in their name and the Hindi word for star is tara.

That's about it! Pretty lame, huh?

Typhlosion: Tyler or Ty for short
Lapras: Lappy
Scizor: Sci
Ampharos: Amphy (in honor of Olivine City)
Gardevoir: Caroline
Gallade: Garvin
Lucario: Rio
Shaymin (when I get one of course): Schala
 
i dont nickname much, but my sceptile is named Koopa and when i get an arcanine, i'mma name it Windy; his japenese name

Kip - Marshtomp - Sounds cute! :3
Mush - Igglybuff - Well, it is the Marshmellow pokemon.
Eclipse - Darkrai - I just had to name it this. I love it!
Star - Ralts - Ralts backwards is Stlar. Take out the l, and you get Star. Stellar would've worked too, but I didn't like the sound of it...

Soo.. Yeah.. I like short, cute names that you can say so fast it sounds even cuter.

...In case you didn't notice, when I nickname my Pokemon, I name them after characters from the Fire Emblem series. As long as the Pokemon suits well the character, of course.
 
I've got one for Typhlosion. Preety easy to understand why but I use it anyway.

I already have a Shaymin. I NEVER nickname my legendaries. It just takes away that special bond or something
