3rd Gen Pokemon nicknames

My friend nicknamed his Sceptile something... odd. I wanted to know how to change his name. I remember doing it before but I just forgot how, can some1 help?

The Diamond/Pearl move deleter is in Eterna City, if that's what game you have.
But I think you can only rename your own pokemon :(

Yesh its true . You can only change a pokemons name if you are its OT or original trainer , if not then tough luck just stick with .

You can only name or rename Pokemon that you actually caught yourself.
As for Pokemon that you did catch, the name writer is in Slateport City. He's in the building in front of the Contest Hall if I remember right.

In Silver I always have my Feraligatr named Crocadilius, but I have to shorten it to Crocadlius because it doesn't entirley fit :( As for others, strangley I call my Bellsprouts Chief every time.

But when I get D/P I'm gonna choose my names extra wisley and make them have awesome names, so if I trade them people will probably like them more :)

The Name Rater's house is south of the Contest Hall in Slateport City. If you look at a map, the Contest hall and the Name Rater's house is in the Northwest (upper left) section of the city.

I never really nickname my Pokémon, but my friend says I should. He says calling a Pokémon by its species name is like calling your friend "human". xD
