i don't name mine all that often, but i named my blazkien bashamo (that's it's name in japanese) and i named my absol CAHSEE because i was taking the CAHSEE (california high school exit exam) when i trained it. but normaly nicknames are kinda weird, so i avoid them... ever since i made the mistake of naming my squirtle "squirt" i was such a dumb kid... "squirt" really doesn't work with a blastoise
