4th Gen Pokemon Obeying situation.

    I'm sure there have been plenty of threads on this but I haven't found one that directly solves this issue and it's frustrating me so I'm bringing this to you!

    I traded over my entire team at level one over to Platinum after I got the first gym badge. I levelled the team up, and when they reached level eleven, they stopped obeying me. I was under the impression that after the first gym, pokemon will obey you up to level 30, (I can quote various sources for this) and of course I cannot continue to the next gym (which requires about level 17 pokemon) with them because a) they are not a high enough level and b) they will not obey me!

    The problem is, it's clearly not because I haven't defeated enough gym leaders as they are supposed to be able to obey me already, so do I have to just win more matches with them to gain their friendship or what?

    They are supposed to obey you till level 30 after the second gym. So yeah, good luck getting there with pokemon that aren't obeying.. :S
     
    Thankyou for your answer, does that mean that the first gym offers for my pokemon to obey me up to level 20? Because that still doesn't make sense since they are only about level 11..

    Oh this is so much bother, I might just have to level up an alternative team. Sadface!

    The first badge doesn't offer anything in terms of traded Pokémon obeying you. I think that happens every other gym in increments of twenty after the second gym. If anything, level up just one Pokémon (that you've caught in this game) to take down Gardenia (such as a Starly) then just box it and continue onwards with your now obedient team.
