hey thnx blacksprite your right i think i got ahead of myself

anbody have any ideas what my componany should do in the game

id like to do something with a fleet of ships or anything els, so tell me what kind of services you as a trainer would want and need online

oh and tell me what you guys think of if i sell stuff , doin a members club where if you join you get stuff stuff like gifts, parties ,cheaper prices you know that kind of stuff

oh and i know ive seen this somewhere in the thread but i cant find it , how exactly do you get a boat, do you buy it, win it or how does that work and also will the pokemon casino from the gbc/gba games also be in the game

sorry just a few more questions

if a boat is going to cost like 5000 $ and you only start with 500 $ can you get a loan ?
will people who join on the first day get anything special because there first?
how will people know if your a merchant or do you keep having to type that you are when a player comes by ?
will you be able to call the police if your being harashed and is it possible to join the police?

ps sorry for all the questions

Hmm.. looking realy great blacksprite, when I get a hold of my moms credit card Ill donate, (feel guilty of playing without contributing something, :P)

Also, a suggestion, because its going to be online, maybe the fields and routes between cities/towns should be extended a lot,

And, perhaps a quest system? (referring to runescape quests) If you want, I have a big big list of quest ideas that are unique and genuine if you want to later on implement a quest system. xD

Like I said, not sure if the above was mentioned before, I have been away for some time now because I just got my new comuter, soo, yea, lol, thanx for not being like the many to give up so easily!

No, this game is only just over 50% complete. the screenies show that the graphics are done and the maps were done before blacksprite changed some stuff and we had to delete all the maps

You can:
  • Win one
  • Buy a premade one
  • Get one built (from another players factory)

The games corner is included along with a few additional games (incl. but possibly not limited to: "Texas Hold-Em" Poker)

Possibly after a while, people will start up loan places. The only shops that wont be owned by other players are pokemarts, which profits go to NPCs for when you win a battle against them.

1st: yes, there is a call for help button going to be if not already on the client.
2nd: Yes, applications will be taken later... in game you can apply at any police station.

I think i probably would have if not for geo and blacksprite...
 
Alright, if blacksprite wants, I will make a list of quests, and I will order them from easiest to hardest, and special quests and such, if he gives the "OK" then I will make the list tonight, and tomorrow I will have a list that will give you and black the idea of what type of quests there could be.

But, the rewards are what we should discuss, because doing quests could be a waste of time, but I got an idea of rewards and such.
 
I think when everything kicks off Ima take a break from battling to hunt down rare pokemon......and sellem for rare candies. oh yeah and to solve the problem with not knowing whos a merchant you could just add that on the trainer id, seems like the easiest thing to do

We are currently not looking at any quests at the moment as its sort create your own life/storyline kinda game
But perhaps in the future im just going to finish what we have planned at the moment its looking like the beta is going to be a full featured release

or you could just save up buy your own factory to make them at

but i think we will start getting people who are shiny hunters.
im planning on making then slightly easier than in the gba games

Well cars can run pokemon over. I wouldnt want to be walking with a pokemon and 5 secs later some drunk driver runs over it just because it went ahead a few steps.

Lol I have sick pokemon roadkill fatasys

Anyway I have learned simple overworld sprite recoloring. So if you need some recoloring for sprites I can do that

nor houses for that matter
but boats is my limit
cars would take up too much space and add pollution

But for now with school starting on Wednesday
I'm focused on coding
i just have a little bit more to do with the battle system
its soo close
i didn't realize how complex it was
but nearly there
i might have to do i bit of research into a particular type of coding for the last bit of it
but it shouldn't be hard
We decided to have all the player own things in the beta along with a full economy
pretty much a full version
so with 35 things on my to do list
with probably more to be added
but i will get them done asap
some of them are quite small some are quite large
depending on how this year goes at school were looking 6months or more
i wish it was less
but this years going to be pretty full on in terms of study
but I've come too far to give up now
I'm not having all my work go to nothing

the last bits on the battle system consist of
the right text comming up for example
Bulbasaur used vine whip!
etc
and 51 more effects
139/198 done

so I'm off to bed for s decent night sleep

Hey I know c and c# and I have done a bit of vb. I would like to help out in anyway I can, a tester role is probably better suited for me since I work most of the time. I am curious though as to how you exported the tileset from the gameboy rom. Ive searched for hours trying to find an editor to export the tiles.

Right now im focused on learning to use the XNA framework

PS: if your using vb .net then I might be able to write you some classes in c# upon request if you needed something

Right now im working on the economy just planning a bunch just so i know where we are headed

Alright so i need everyones in put
I need to find names for what you would call these industries

1. Furniture
2. Colors & dyes
3. Textiles (i think this ones alright) (Fabric making)
4. Manufacturing (poke balls & plastics)
5. Shipwrights (like the one in that city in ruby (Slateport?) what did that guy call his factory's was it shipwright
6. Chemicals (Potions etc)
7. Juices and Organic Remedies (energy root etc)

Just some names or opinions on the names above

ummm maybe put remedies and potions together and just call them Medicinal products?

furniture... appliances?

colors/dyes... wtf? what's that for? o_o
 
is there a demo for this yet?? I want to try it, it looks awesome!
 
maybe move tutors....I dont know how that would work, dont forget about the pokeflutes you could have people make those and sell'em I suppose......hangover *groans*............if I had a npokemon mmorpg I wouldnt drink I need your help...... :(

Cant really combine the two
well i guess i could but they are huge
these guys just make all your everyday medicinal remidies

while the other ones make energy powder and rare candy's and all the X's, theses guys really just crush berrys

Appliances well a lot of them are sofas etc
I was thinking Just
Furnishings

For the furniture needs cloth
and color
and poke balls need enamel
amongst a lot of other types of products
