Plot

Calling all pokémon trainers!

An exciting announcement was made yesterday by renowned explorer and pokémon trainer Henry Orava. Mr Orava is best known for his discovery of the Orava Islands just over a year ago. These Islands were originally found to support little to no wildlife, so one year ago pokémon were introduced to the area. These pokémon flourished, and the North Island is now widely inhabited. However, little has been heard from Orava or the Islands since then, and yesterday he revealed why. Mr Orava yesterday announced that almost a year ago he had received permission from the pokémon league to set up his own league on his Islands, and that he had spent the last year he had been secretly preparing the North Island for his new league. He has been building pokémon centers, pokémarts and recruiting Gym Leaders. In yesterday's announcement he invited trainers to his League, which he declared to be the most open competition in years! Asked to elaborate, he explained that all trainers would only be allowed to come to the Islands with only one pokémon... no more and no less. Once they reached the Island they would be provided with a pokédex and pokéballs by Mr Orava himself! He explained that this would ensure that talented beginner trainers would be in with a chance in the Final League. The starting date for the League is the 1st March, no trainer will be permitted to enter the Island before or after this date. According to Mr Orava this ensures a fair competition. Any trainers interested should fill in the form below and send it to the address at the bottom of the form...


This is the main article in the latest edition of pokémon weekly. Your character has been reading with great interest. This league represents a chance for trainers to test their skills. Your character decides to sign up. Now for the interesting bits...

About the Orava Islands...
Ø The North Island has been inhabited by a wide variety of pokémon. There are some pokémon from all of the generations.
Ø However, not all of the 493 pokémon will be available, you have been warned.
Ø As normal, you will need to collect 8 badges from the Islands Gyms. However, there is a total of 12 Gyms, so there is some flexibility.
Ø The South Island will not be opened to the public until the pokémon league, which will take place entirely on the smaller South Island.
Ø There is no Team Rocket, Aqua, Magma or Galactic on this Island. *waits for gasps* The Island has no native population and only certified trainers are being allowed to enter.

RULES
-No Legendaries are allowed in this RP. Unfortunately none live in this area....
-No god modding allowed! That's not fair and you may be kicked out of the roleplay
-Be active, if you don't post for 2 weeks I will kick you out of the RP. If this is a problem then don't sign up. Inform me if you are going away, so I won't kick you out of the RP.

Gameplay

Something I have noticed is that in most RP's, including my current RP, is that all RPers follow a designated path and can catch from a small selection of pokémon on each route. Don't get me wrong; this works just fine, but can have an unfortunate effect of many players having near identical teams. In this RP I wanted to try something different, which would hopefully add a little extra realism to the RP as well. Now in the real world, there is almost always more than one way to get to any destination, right? So once you reach the Island, RPers will have to choose a direction to set off in.

At some points a player will reach a junction, and will have to choose which way to go. Each Route will contain different pokémon, so which way a player chooses to go will dramatically alter the makeup of an RPers team. Hopefully it will also help to create more varied storylines as well.

Okay i thought I'd try something new here... you will not receive your pokémon from Professor Oak, Birch, Elm, Rowan or Tree! Unfortunately due to the high demand for pokémon by new trainers going to the Orava Islands, the Professors have all run out of starters. This means you will have to obtain your pokémon in another way. How you obtained your pokémon is up to you, maybe you have had it for a while or maybe you just got it? (All pokémon will start at level 5 regardless)

How you obtained the pokémon must be described in the 'How Obtained' section of your SU. It is important that the event is believable; and a bit of originality wouldn't go amiss. You may choose any pokémon from the list below as your starter. I decided to do this because it will allow me a preview of your writing style and imagination, without reading a recycled RP sample.

Okay this is completely open. As long as the pokémon is in its first stage of evolution its fair game. The stronger/rarer the pokémon, the better the sign up is needed ... simple. J

~ How to find and capture a Pokémon in this RP:
To find a Pokémon you must post something similar to this extract:

"Oddish bounced up and down in the field as her trainer stood beside her, after a while she looked over to Sarah who was looking down at the rocky path. Oddish noticed a bush nearby to her shake slightly and she excitedly bounced over to it. "Oddish," she called loudly to get her trainers attention. Sarah lifted her head and out of the bush popped a...".

End the post here and I'll fill in the blanks so that you can continue.

Then you will conduct the battle. When you toss the Pokéball, please end the post. Here's an extract to show how to end a post.

"Sarah tossed the Pokéball, Oddish had done a great job at weakening the Pichu which was on its hind legs, spinning around as it was having difficulty staying upright. The Pokéball hit Pichu and sucked it inside, then began to tilt as Keira waited patiently for the result of the capture."

Heres where i decide if you've done a good enough battle to capture the Pokémon, or if its simply too strong. In the battle post, you can state the attacks of both pokémon and state whether they hit but please be realistic. For example, a thundershock could not beat a Golem in one hit.

Name:Owen Arytio

Gender: Male

Age:14

Appearance: Owen is about 5 feet and 9inches. He has dark brown hair cut short(NOT a buzz!)
His skin is in between a tanned and a pale color, and he has big feet and hands. His eyes are a blueish color, that are able to mesmerize people easily. He has dark,red lips that aren't very thick. His nose is small and perfectley centered on his face. Owen usually wears a yellow hoodie and dark, beat up, blue jeans. He has a plain, white shirt underneath his hoodie, and he wears black, worn-out, tennis shoes. Lastly, Owen wears a red backpack, that he uses to hold his Pokemon(Read on to see what it is!)

Personality: Owen is very comfortable when it comes to speaking up and saying his word(A. K. A. Speeches) He is out-going to most people, but with some, he can be a little shy.He isn't a very good leader, and on the downside, Owen can be a little *cough* very *cough* indescive. Owen likes to explore new places and try out new things, but he is afraid of ghost pokemon.

History: Owen was born in the Hoenn region and has lived there, in Lilycove, all his live. He is an only child, and while he was young he was very spoiled. Every day, he went to the contest hall and watched the contests take place. He stared in amazement, at the beautiful moves and wished that he could do it to.

One day, while playing hide n' seek with his friends,Owen got lost in an old cavern that he was hiding in. Suddenly, rocks fell over the entrance, and trapped Owen inside. He ran and pushed the rocks, and toppled over, unconcious. He awoke in a small room, filled with ghost Pokemon. Owen got scared out of his mind and fled. He kept running until he found his way, out of the cavern.

Now, Owen is ready to take on the challenge of his life. He is heading to tha Orava Islands, where his journey will begin. Can he win 8 badges and beat the league. And could there be a little darkness, somewhere in the Islands?

How it was Obtained: On Owen's tenth birthday, he recieved an egg that his parents had found in their yard. He kept the egg in his room, and waited. Nothing happened. He waited and waited, until one day, Professor Elm visited the town, to run an errand for Professor Oak. Owen, now 11, confronted Professor Elm and got him to check out the egg. Professor Elm said, that to hatch the egg, Owen would have to keep it warm. Owen did this, and on his 12 birthday, the egg hatched. It was a Togepi and it started rampaging around the house. One day, after a little bit of taming, Owen entered Togepi in a contest. Togepi lost, badly, but in the process, grew to level 5.

Name- Mizu Sasaki

Gender- Male

Age- 15

Apperance- Mizu is about 5 feet 10 inches, he has kinda long blue hair, looks like he just got out of bed, he has tan skin, and sharp facial features, and dark green eyes. he wears a blue short sleeved shirt that has a hood, he wears fingerless gloves and usually has his hands in his pockets, the pants he wears are baggy black pants with a thick blue line down the side of each leg, and plain white shoes.

Personality- Mizu is a little quiet and serious at first but when you get to know him he is funny and crazy and just likes to have a good time. He is very musical and sings alot. (usually in funny voice) Mizu is pretty relaxed and dosent take to many things seriously, he thinks more about the future rather than what is going on now, and can be immature sometimes.

History- Mizu grew up in Azalea Town in the Johto region. He has a little sister about 4 years younger than him. Because Mizu grew up in Azalea town he spent alot of his time playing in the Ilex Forrest and the Slowpoke Well.

One day in the Slowpoke Well Mizu found a secret pathway. Mizu curiously followed the path, at the end was a chamber with a very small body of water, deep enough to swim. Mizu looked in the water to find a large asortment of water pokemon, from slowpoke to psyduck and even a squirtle!

After that Mizu's love for water pokemon grew, now he wants to become a water pokemon master!

Starter- Eevee, male

How Eevee was Obtained- After what happened at the Slowpoke Well Mizu rushed home to get his money and buy a pokeball to catch one of these amazing water pokemon. He had only saved up enough money to buy one pokeball, but he was okay with that. Mizu ran to the well to try to find the secret pathway. Mizu searched for hours trying to find that path, but he never did. During his search it had started to rain. Mizu finally gave up and started to walk home. The rain got worse and worse more and more thunder and lightning. Mizu finaly reached his house, he was about to walk in when he heared rustling in the bushes. He walked over and found a little Eevee under a leaf trying to stay out of the rain. Mizu picked him up and walked into the safty of his house to show his parents his new friend.

Gender: Male
Age: 12


Appearance: Has black spiky/messy hair. Has regular crystal blue eyes and normal plae skin. Has a slight tan coming along and wears a size 7 in mens red running shoes. He stands at about 4 foot 6 and weighs about 95 lbs. He wears a black T-shirt, blue jeans, and a red and white short sleeved jacket. He also wears a necklace with black lacing and a silver figure of a mysterious Pokemon that people seem to call Raikou.


Personality: Red is very determined and cautious. He always sticks to whatever he says and will always fulfill it, but he does it sort of safely. He can be reclous sometimes and usually is. He does anything for a friend and will try anything new. He loves Pokemonj and going on adventures and can't wait to start this one. He is also the class clown and is very fun to be around.


History: Red grew up on the Orva Islands. He never knew his father as when he was 2, his father went missing and has never been found. Red grew up with two older brothers. Maximillion and Fredward. The two brothers were both twins and enjoyed pretty much the same things. They always loved to pick on Red and always did.

When Red turned 8 his mother gave him one of his dad's most treasured posestion. A portrait of him holding Red in his arms, and Freddie, Max, and his wife standing next to him. Red had kept that in his room for the rest of his life, planning to one day find his missing father.


Now, he has turned 12 and his mother gave him one of his dad's other most treasured posestions. A Pokeball. She said his father always planned on giving him the specific Pokemon on his twelth birthday. Now Red is setting out on this grand adventure and plans on finding his father.


Preferred Starter: Bulbusaur, Male, nicknamed Blade

How Obtained: Red received his Bulbusaur on his twelth birthday. His father had appearently been keeping this Pokeball hidden for a long time, and was going to give it to the little child his mother was holding inside of her. His mother gave him the Pokeball and Red was pleased to find a Bulbusaur standing there. He named it Blade and quickly set out to train for a little while. He challenged a trainer, not realizing how strong the trainer was, and quickly lost. They then trained harder and Blade son grew to lvl. 5.

Character: Tyson Jade

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Appearance: Tyson has black hair that is a continual mess. He rarely ever combes it, already knowing it will just go out of place. He has hazel eyes that have a bit more blue than green in them. Normally, Tyson will wear blue jeans that are ripped from previous misuse and a black shirt. He carries his jacket in his backpack that he will be taking with him.

Personality: Having grown up in a volcanic area (he lived in the volcano), he is an extremely adventurist boy and will often ignore warnings, even if it means severe injury or death. He loves to play with the pokemon his family breeds in the volcano, and there are plenty of areas to play with the fire pokemon. Because he has grown up in a volcano, he is used to the extreme heat, allowing him to play with just as much vigor as the pokemon.

Tyson can have a temper rivaling an angry Charmeleon. When he is yelled at or in trouble for something he didn't do, or something worse happens that causes him to throw an angry fit, he will diappear for a few days, three the most, and then come back home dirty, full of scratches, and just plain hungry. Tyson doesn't like to express sadness or guilt, believing those to weak or girly emotions, and hides them away. But aside from all this, Tyson is a very happy person who literally bounces from one adventure to the next.

History: For generations, Tyson's family have lived in that volcanic home, caring for the fire pokemon that are born in it. The large town that inhabits the island at the bottom is quite rich in its land and grow some of Tyson's favorite fruit. Because of the generations breeding in the volcanic atmosphere, most of Tyson's family is immune to some of the heat, but as they are still human, putting even a finger in some lava is a death wish. Tyson knows because he got the beating of his life from his father for trying to jump in a pool of lava with some baby Magby.

Preferred Starter: Charmander

How Obtained: While exploring the deeper part of the volcano with some heat proof clothes, because not even his family could avoid the extreme heat that far in, he found some of the more wilder pokemon that his family simply avoided, but still fed if they ever wanted. He came across a beaten female Charmeleon. Although he didn't know it, she had fought against a Magmar for more territory but had lost, and was now perishing. Despite how much he tried to heal the hurt Charmeleon, she passed away, leaving her only egg behind. There was no father, or at least no pokemon that would take of it, so Tyson cared for the egg.

He took it everywhere, even hid it in his backpack as was forced to go to school. He cared for the egg as if it were his own, often getting teased by his three younger sisters, who often called him a "Mother hen", which infuritated him to no end. Finally, when a month had passed, the egg hatched, exactly at midnight as Tyson snuck out to sleep with the fire pokemon, right under the full moon. It was a beautful sight, seeing the egg burst into a white light. And, soon, with all the surrounding pokemon, the baby Charmander greeted the new world with a low, and rather weak, bark, and a swipe to Tyson's arm. Tyson knew right away that this closed eye babe would grow into a strong pokemon someday, but when morning came, he was suprised to see the strange coloring on his pokemon.

His Charmander was a shiny!

Character Name: Nova Hellray
Gender: Male, despite the name!
Age: 13
Appearance: Nova is quite tall for his age, standing at 5 foot 9 inches. It is his body that it is long, and his limbs are an average size; Nova doesn't like his long body. He is also quite skinny, but not underweight; the perfect mixture for a lanky person! He has dark hair that is slightly bushy and long, a pain to brush in the morning. He has some muscels that ripple through his body, but they aren't visible underneathe his clothes...

Nova has bronze glasses that sit on his small nose. He has piercing blue eyes that are some what warming to others, and a rather long face. He ussally wears quite bright clothing that reflects his perosnality; a green, stripy top and dark jeans with rips in. He also weas black baseball boots and a necklace with a shark tooth on it. Occasionally, he will wear a black top and black jeans, but only when he prefers. If it is cold, he will wear a long brown coat, and if it is even colder, he will wear a stripy scarf similar to his top.

Personality: Nova always seems to be happy. He is always smiling and is a very strong optimist. He is extremly caring and also very fair; if someone is nice to him, he must be nice to them, but if they are nasty to him, he must be nasty back! He is always talking and is very intelligent, blurting out random, useless facts, for example... Oh, it doesn't matter!

If nobody is with Nova, he'll talk to his Pokemon, and if his Pokemon aren't there, he'll talk to himself! He always seems to find entertainment for himself and will never turn down a Pokemon battle but doesn't like confrontation! His faviroute color is bright green and purple. Unknown to some people, Nova can be abit of an Emo sometimes and has a Pop-Punk fashion sense...

History: Nova grew up in Sandgem Town, Sinnoh. He was very happy there and he lived happily with his Family. They always went on Holidays to exotic places and had loads of fun with Pokemon. Nova always wanted to be a Pokemon Trainer, his Sister was Fanita, the Hearthome City Gym Leader and his Father was a Scientist. He also had a Sister, Dawn, but rarely saw her as she was a Pokemon Trainer.

Preferred Starter: Misdreavus

How Obtained: Nova's Sister Fanita wanted to know how good Nova was at battlign to see if he could carry on the Faily tradition. He went up to Hearthome Gym with her for a battle. After a very long Journey, they finnaly arived and had a battle. nova didn't have any Pokemon so Fanita lended Nova a Misdreavus. He battled extremly well and wiped out Fanita. She decided that he was so good that he coudl keep the Misdreavus after she had heard that he was going to Orava Islands.

Character Name: Bon Choco

Gender: Male

Age: 14

Appearance: Bon has spiky brown hair which he wears in a mass of spikes that look like they took at least an hour to set. He wears a white shirt with a Poke Ball print and long blue sleeves that almost go past his fingers. His pants are simple blue jeans held up by a low hanging brown belt. On his hands he wears black bikers gloves. Around his neck he wears a long red scarf with black streaks. Here's a pic

Personality: Bon is a somewhat serious boy when he meets new people, but as soon as he starts to feel comfortable with them, he becomes a crazy man. He has a large sweet tooth, and can often be found eating sweets. He has no sense of the value of the Poke Dollar, being raised by rich parents.

History: Bon group in the region of Orre, in the once crime center: Pyrite Town. Bon's father was elected mayor after Duking retired. Bon's father then made money of the cities Colloseum, renting it out for tournaments and expiditions.

Preferred Starter: Turtwig (Tortuga)

How Obtained: Turtwig was a gift to Bon on his 12th Birthday. Bon had always wanted a Pokemon for his own, but since there was no Pokemon League in Orre. His father sent away for a Turtig from Sinnoh, borrowing on goodfaith and luck. 6 months later a Turtwwig arrived, with this note attached:

I am glad to hear that trainers from other regions are taking interest in Pokemon. I had a hard time in persuading the Sinnoh Pokemon League to letting you have this, so please be responsible. Due to the aforementioned, Turtwig may be a bit irritable

Anyway on to the RP, lets get started:

A quick note before we start:
12 'towns' have been set up on the Island, each with its own Gym. As the Island has no resident population, most towns will follow the same basic layout: A pokémon center, a pokémart, and a Gym. Some towns will have extra to this, if this is the case it will be specified in the Town write up.

Anyway... I think that's it so let's get started... again

Dear Trainer,

I am pleased to inform you that your application to travel to the Orava Islands has been successful! You and your partner pokémon will need to catch the ferry from the port specified on the attached tickets in two days. You will be supplied with a pokédex and pokéballs upon reaching the Island.

This letter came through the door two days ago... as you finish reading it for the thousandth time, you hear a call.

"Sign up desk 3 is now available..."

You look up and see you are at the front of the queue, and walk over to sign up desk 3. You hand over your letter over to the woman at the desk, who read the letter and scanned the barcode at the bottom. 'So that's what it's for' you think. She reads the details off the screen, then hands you a coloured card, a pokédex and 5 pokéballs.

"Okay, if you just head through the door on your right and a man will take your card and direct you to your starting point," she explained, "He will also perform a security check to ensure you only have one pokémon with you."

"Thanks," you mutter, before heading towards the door.

As you walk through the door you see a girl being led away crying.

"It's not fair, it's not fair!" she screamed.

"Look Kid, it was clearly stated, you're only allowed one pokémon. No more, no less!" said one of the men taking her away.

"I'll need to look through your bags," said a security guard, catching you off guard.

You simply nod, and once the security checks have been finalised you are told to go to another desk. You start to think this is a little long winded... but head on. At the desk, the man takes your card. After studying it, he gives you the final directions to your starting point. You follow them, and reach an area packed with trainers. They are all looking at a screen with a countdown on it. At the end of the countdown an important looking man appeared on the screen.

"Hello, my name is Henry Orava. Welcome to my Island. You trainers are currently split into four areas, to ease congestion on the towns dotted around the Island. In total there are twelve towns, each with its own Gym. You will need to beat 8 of the 12 Gym Leaders to win entry into the Orava Pokémon League. You will have 6 months to earn your badges and get back to the starting base to register for the League."

This caused quite a stir in the room, with all the trainers chattering excitedly. Mr Orava seemed to have anticipated this, as he had paused. After a few seconds he continued...

"Now listen closely, this is important. Due to such a large having only twelve towns, we have set up rest points to help trainers. These rest points will essentially be a pokémon center with rooms for trainers to stay in. This will help all trainers have a safe journey. These rest points will prove essential to you. The Nurse Joy in every pokémon center will have a local map, and these are the only maps you will have reference to. So I would make sure you talked to the Nurse Joy at each center to get directions."


Looking around, you notice many trainers are still talking. You highly doubt they have heard this advice... oh well, advantage to you...

"Anyway, I just want to wish you all the best of luck. Get ready trainers, I now declare the Orava Pokémon League open!"

As he finished the gates in front of you open, and you walk out... ready to begin your adventure.

Some Info on the Starting Areas:

Maritime Forest: Ahead you see an area of dense trees, with a set of small paths running through. There is a sign at the beginning of the Forest stating: "If you follow the path you will be lead to Maritime Town."

Bebay Lakes: An area filled with a number of lakes. Beyond the lakes lies Route 3.

Crescent Meadow: A beautiful and peaceful meadow, which spans as far as the eye can see. There is a rest point located on the far side.

South Coastline: A sandy beach that stretches on for miles, before coming to a rest point. The Islands tropical climate makes this are seem perfect...

Name: Chris Eaton

Age: 16

Gender:Male

History:Originally born and raised in his hometown of Sootopolis, Chris's father was a respected Pokemon Referee and his mother was a Referee school teacher. To follow in their footsteps, Chris was sent daily by boat to Ever Grande City to study in a private school to be a Pokemon Referee Official. However, after witnessing Steven, a local hero, battle and win against the Elite Four, Chris developed a love for battling.

Like most of his friends who left a year before to become trainers, Chris wanted to depart to Littleroot Town to receive a Pokemon from Professor Birch. Chris's parents weren't fond of the idea of him giving up referee's school, and forbid him to travel to Littleroot.
One night, at the age of 14, Chris ran away from his house in Sootopolis and took a ship headed to a port just outside of Pallet Town.

During this time, Chris went by his middle name, Koji, as he traveled around the Kanto region, collecting the 8 badges of Kanto and catching many Pokemon along the way.After passing the qualifying round for the Kanto Pokemon League Tournament, Chris began using his real name throughout the tournament, and came in the Top 16, loosing to the soon would be champion. However, this move to use his real name came back to bite him, and as soon as the tournament was over, police officials attempted to capture Chris. But with the help of a few other trainers, Chris managed to escape.

After fleeing the Kanto region to Johto, Chris decided to enter the Johto league, leaving all of his Pokemon except for his Totodile, due to the fear that they would identify him due to his team. He then traveled through the Johto region, and was able to collect all eight badges of Johto. Later, Chris was able to enter the Johto League Championship with his new team. Chris overcame many tough battles and came in the Top 4, loosing to a trainer named Maud. After learning she was traveling to the Katsu region, Chris followed, again switching up his team.

Although Chris beat the first four gyms rather easily, chaos soon enveloped the region. Pokemon were soon outlawed, leaving Chris stranded in the Kastu region. But luck was on his side, and he ran into a renegade group called "the Uprising." After hearing the motives of the group and the details of the new law, Chris decided to put his quest on hold and help in "the Uprising's" cause.

However, things soon began going even more wrong within the region and the group split up, going their separate ways. During this time, Chris decided to resume his journey. He sent all of his Pokemon, except for his Totodile, to professor Elm. Although at first heading to the Hoenn region, Chris caught wind of the new area, and set his sights on becoming the new, and first, champion of the region.

Personality:Although Chris can be rash in some situations, when Chris calms down and thinks things through. he is a brilliant tactician, most likely form his years spent at Referee's school (see history) and the experience he has had in the other regions. But, If someone is able to get his too mad, he may loose his head.

Most of the time he switches between phases of extremely good luck and extremely bad luck, making him a firm believer in superstition. Sometimes, streaks of bad luck can make Chris seem like a bit of a klutz and may put him in some awkward situations, especially when it matters the most. Nevertheless, things seem, for the most part, to always work out.

Chris thinks that Pokeballs are more like "jail"(s) for Pokemon and tries to keep them out of their balls as much as possible.

Even though Chris has captured many Pokemon, he is/ becomes close to each one, knowing their strengths and weaknesses. However, his journey here was to become a better trainer, so all he brought to the region was Dile.

Appearance: Chris is approximately 5'11, an average size for his age. He is not skinny, but rather muscular instead. However, you cannot see it under his sweatshirt. He has medium-long, light brown hair that spikes up in the front, flat on the top, and with smaller spikes on the back. It always looks like he just got out of bed. His eyes are always a deep shade of blue.

Chris cannot be caught dead without a long sleeve shirt or his lucky black hooded sweatshirt with a red "Groudon Symbol" design on the front. He also owns a red backpack with a black pokeball design on the back.

Preferred Starter: Totodile (Dile); Male

Obtained: Dile was Chris' first Pokemon after he fled from the Hoenn region, going to the Kanto region to get a Pokemon from Professor Oak. Unfortunately, the ship he was on was late on it's docking, and Chris ended being late for the first round of Kanto Pokemon, After being told there were no Pokemon left, he didn't know what he could do, and all traces of hope soon disappeared. As he began walking out the door, Professor Oak received a call from Professor Elm, calling about a Totodile with a strange marking on it's muzzle. Elm continued, telling Professor Oak that the Pokemon was just too much for him and he wanted to send it over. Hearing this, Chris begged Professor Oak to let him take the Pokemon. Oak agreed, and Professor Elm, soon sent it through the PC system to Chris. The two have been together ever since.

Due to the time spent together, Chris allows Dile out of his ball to roam around free, but usually, Dile sits on Chris' backpack and looks over his shoulder. However, Dile has a tendency to toss things out of Chris' backpack to make himself comfortable.
Dile is probably the most innovative of all of Chris Pokemon, most of the time, trying unorthodox methods to get out of situations. Dile takes criticism to heart, striving to get better no matter what. Dile is somewhat stubborn as well, if he wants something, he'll try as hard as he can to get it.

Dile, for an unknown reason, has no desire to evolve into Crocanaw. When asked if it wants to, it shakes it's head violently sideways back and forth, as if as to scream "NO".

Dile has a green stripe running horizontally across his muzzle setting him apart from other Totodile.]

Character Name: Diana
Gender: Female
Age: 12
Appearance: She has long blond hair and a serious look to her. She typically dresses in colors of either blue or black. She has ocean green eyes and an evil looking smirk at times.
Personality: She is a strong determined trainer, trying to make the best of things despite whatever life throws her way. She's sneaky and often finds herself in trouble because she like to pull pranks on people. She's a little greedy at times often trying for more then she is capible of.
History: She was raised by her Grand-Parents after her father died in an accident exploring for a Measuem. He was looking for rare artifacts. Since she was little Diana also dreamed of traveling to see rare sights, espically when she stumbled across her fathers old journal.
Preferred Starter: Female Skitty
How Obtained: Diana found Skitty in a box with other Skitty being given away. She was overlooked because she was the runt of the litter. Diana picked her because she thought she looked lonely. They've been together since then.

Chapter 1: Startin' Off Stolen!
"Okay Togepi, are you ready?" , Owen asked as he headed towards the forest.

"Togeprrriiiiiiii", Togepi replied with equal excitment.

"We're gonna have a great time, here on the islands!"

"Toge-Tog- Pi"

"Yeah, well...." , Owen stopped as he noticed another young girl crying. "Whats wrong!?" , he asked, as he ran over.

"My Pokemon......its been KIDNAPPED!" , the young girl said through tears.

'It doesn't look like it" , Owen said, pointing to the Metapod in front of her.

" The person who stole i-it re-re-replaced it!"

"Wait a second, what Pokemon did you use to have?" , Owen asked, a theroy forming in his head.

"It was my Caterpie, Ketchup"

"You Pokemon didn't get stolen, it Evolved! This is Metapod, Caterpie's evolved form" , Owen explained, with a chuckle.

"So, this ugly thing is Ketchup?", the girl said, astonished.

"Yeah! Pokemon evolve to get stronger. Er..Ketchup, right? Well,anyway, Ketchup must have evolved to protect you in the island!"

"You would do that for me?" the girl asked, new tears forming. Owen left before things got too mushy, he had never liked scenes like that.

"Well Togepi, we should head to the forest. Maritime, I think."

"To-ge!"

"Well, let's go!", Owen said as they walked towards a sandy path, leading North-West. His journey had begun.
