Well, me and Skip Shot happen to be hosts of the Snap Event for the anime persons. I think I've decided and I think we should have two kinds of snaps, each running for 2 days :

• Day I : Funniest DP Scene.
• Day II : A Tear Joking Johto / Indigo / Orange Islands Snap.
  
• Day III : ADV. / Battle Frontier Glory FTW
  
• Final Day : Unique Winners' Competition !!
  

Just as you guys, we happen to be humans. So, even if you are not a host, come here and drop your ideas too.
Also, the most important thing about this :

The Rules - So Far​

Okay, so. To make it clear, we have a few rules.​

• All PC Get Together Rules apply.​
• Consequently, all PC Rules apply.​
• Get all yer screenies at livejournal . If you have your own episodes, snap the with your camera. Just make sure they're acceptable as quality.​
• If you lose on one of the first days (we'll announce the winner at the end of the day (when I come and say "ENDS")) you are allowed to participate on the other days !
• Have fun on this contest ! :P

Ideas so far ?!​

We will make three competitions, one per day (listed in the first post). We will secretly judge based under a number of Rules and we'll decide first laces for all three events : they'll advance and get an emblem. Don't worry : If you participate, you still get an emblem.

Well, me and Hiiro have been contemplating. You see, various sites have photo resources. Your best shot would be livejournal (kudos to TwilightBlade).​

I like what you have already 560. What I suggest doing for those that do submit is that they should enter in the episode that the snapshot was from, so that we can confirm that it wasn't altered or anything, and ensure that the submission is 100% accurate with info.

Also 2 days is a long time to find a snapshot off of the internet. How about 4 one-day competitions, with the winner each day getting a prize?

Another good thing that you can do for locating pictures is to watch episodes online or on your TV if you have them, take a picture with your camera, and then submit it online. Some episodes can be viewed at https://www.pokemon.com Go to the animation section, and view the videos if you like. Currently, up to Season 4, Epiode 18 is there. "The Trouble with Snubbull!"

I can also Judge this competition as well, if that's alright with Hiiro.

Yeah, like I was saying earlier, clicking on the "random" link on Bulbagardens could get quite tedious for some. Though, there are other ways of obtaining tons of screen caps from the anime. Google is a great resourse to start with along with the official site. Possibly finding some great sources with Anime Screen Caps will be great to provide on the first post.

Also, Skip it's perfectly alright if you want to be the third judge. This way we'll basically have our team complete. n_n

Definitely resources like I said above in response to Blade. Uhh as far as CSS and stuff like that goes I have pretty much no knowledge, but I could try and ask around. Would a Pokemon Snap (possibly anime screen of Todd Snap or something) work?

Sure. But does that mean we'll have three categories ? Hmmm.... whata bout only making the "most hilarious" competition, but for all three dif. series (Original, ADV. and DP)

Mmm... I've been thinking about three one day competitions based on "The Funniest Snap" and the final day will have the best from all three compete. The winner gets a shiny emblem and, I might (MIGHT) talk to Rukario for a 5$ Supporter Card ! ^_^

Nah, pokemon.com is really suckish. They have one episode per week, which means that if we were to get snaps from their site, they'd all be from a single site. u_u
But, yeah, as I said, if they have their own cam., thei can take their own pictures (: just to be of an acceptable quality.

I wasn't saying that we use just one website. like Pokemon.com, as the resource though. Pokemon.com is an available resource people can use. I feel that it's limited if we just give the competitors one resource that they can use and nothing else.

I also think having just the most hilarious from each series is a little redundant. I was thinking that we could start with a general topic, then as each day progresses the topic gets harder until the last day, where each of the finalists gets their own topic, and the best submission for the topic (or the fastest if there's only one screen in the entire anime available per topic) will win. Here's some sample topics I was thinking of:

Day 1: The funniest snap you can find from any series!
Day 2: The saddest snap you can find from any movie!
Day 3: The greatest battle snap you can find from the Diamond and Pearl Series!
Day 4:
Finalist 1- Misty battling a dragon-type Pokemon!
Finalist 2- Jessie and James' sacrifice for their first Pokemon!
Finalist 3- The scene of the first evolution of a Generation IV Pokemon!

These are just some ideas, so we can always change them.

Hmmm... What toy said perfectly makes sense.
I'm thinking to put in something similar to what you said. Just something like :

1. Day 1 : The most hilarious DP Scene (since the animation detail has increased, we could have cool stuff here ! <3)

2. Day 2 : The saddest Indigo/Johto Scene (when Ash left Butterfree ? When Brock left his family ? Which was it ?!)

3. Day 3 : The most glorious ADV. / Battle Frontier Battle Scene ! (Ash vs. Brandon ? Post it today)

4. Day 4 : Best three snaps compete ! Which one won ? Get tuned today !

Isn't final runner-up and Supreme Third/Second pretty much the same award? I would remove both and replace them with "Finalist".

In terms of artwork, you could contact KoA (KingofAnime) or anybody in artwork and ask for some help with that. Someone may also see this post (cough*READ THIS THREAD GUYS*cough) and volunteer. I can also contact people I know in artwork and ask for help if you want. I'll have you send them themes

Okay now, I have minimalised the number of emblems and the mistakes (I typed them at 12 AM).

I'd say just get rid of the advancer emblem, since the top 3 are all getting emblems anyways as it is, then bring back your emblem for the top 3 of each day, but it should be like this:

Day (1/2/3) Runner Up: Goes to second and third place on Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3.

This makes it so that each person can only get one emblem and not be greedy lol.

In that case, I think we should also add a rule that if you get top three on one day, we should discourage them from competing on the next days (that doesn't mean they don't compete whatsoever, its just discouraged.)

Of course the final round will be all about uniqueness. It goes by Funniest (Day 1), Saddest (Day 2), Most Glorious (Day 3) and the Most Unique (Day 4).

I just gave them new titles that I thought would fit well with the day's theme. Though, you guys can choose whether to use them or not, just saying. n_n; Also, I don't think it should really be discouraged for those who earned 2st or 3nd place in the first two days of events. Actually, I don't think they should be mentioned at all. Instead, only the first place winner should be revealed and therefore encouraging all those who didn't succeed the first round to try again the next day. This way we still have people participating and it won't run anyone away without people whining.

So, first place winner of Day I, Day, II, and Day III will all compete in Day IV's final event for the top prize emblem. Am I right? Then, the last three day's previous winners will also receive an emblem for winning first place that day?

I suggest not really keeping any second or third place emblem for the runner up contestants. It'll just create too many emblems to give out. Instead, I'd give all those who participated an emblem for participation.

By the way, I'd gladly make these emblems if you guys agree and sound good to you?

Here's my thought for the first post that you guys could use. As for images, when I finish all the icons, you can add them in there for pictures to the thread. n_n; My thought though, is on the categories section leave Day II, III, and IV with a "???" until we announce each day's theme. This way it'll keep the surprise in the game for all who participate and won't give anyone a head start. So, if you want to use my format, just quote me, remove the Day II, III, and IV titles and replace them with ???, then C&P it for the first post of the thread. Don't forget to remove the

tags. XD

Welcome to PC's 2010 Get-Together and the Pokémon [person] Snap: Anime Version event. Here is where you will take part in daily events based on category. It's quite simple really. All you have to do is enter for the day's category and post what you find to be the most fitting image from the Pokémon Anime to go with that day's theme. The first place winner of each day's event will move onto the Fourth Day's Final Event. This will be our considered Top 3 Finalists.

Note: Reason why this is a [person] snap, is because all images posted must be that of human characters from the PKMN Anime, not the Pokémon Monsters themselves.

FAQ

How will the event be held?
All who participate will be added, and all entries will be judged accordingly by 560cool., Skip Shot, and Hiiro. Forty-five minutes prior to the ending of the day's event there will be an announcement stating that people may stop submitting images. Afterward, based on the final decision an announcement will be made declaring that day's top winner (he/she will compete again on the final day) along with the next day's category and explanation.

On the final day, the top three winners from the previous days will compete as the finalists. Once the event is finished, an announcement will be made declaring the Master Snapper.

Will there be prizes?
Absolutely. The best part of taking part in an event is always looking forward to the prize. Each day's first place winner will receive an award reflecting the category, the winning finalist will receive the Master Emblem, and for all those who took their time to participate will earn a participation emblem.

On top of that, for ALL winners, their name will be made in an announcement in the Pokémon TV Show and Movies section for their recognition. =]
