1st Gen Pokemon red save file

Ages and ages ago a friend deleted my red save file, ive made a good game though and re trained all the pokes and caught loads of stuff but, can i get back the old game?

I've heard of glitches and GameSharks (sorry, no pun intended) recovering your game save files by accident, but that's probably because they didn't save the new game file correctly or they typed in a GameShark (once again, no pun intended) code incorrectly and their game did something weird.

I couldnt, when i deleted my brothers game (He got really far, i can only remeber him having an Eggxecute) ive been wanting it back ever since ¬_¬
