I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but I think I figured out the Pokemon region geography:

    Kanto/Indigo - West
    Johto - East
    Hoenn - South
    Sinnoh - North

I think other regions like the Orange Island, Orre, and Fiore are:

    Orange Island - Southwest
    Fiore - Southeast
    Orre - Northwest

It is unknown what region would be int the northeast area or right in the middle. But I think the pokemon series has two more regions to go.

Maybe the 5th gen will have a new place and it will be located in northeast or in the centre.

If you compare Japan's geography to the Pokemon world's geography, then most of these are pretty close to accurate. Hoenn is a bit to the southwest, rather than directly south, however (unless you prefer to turn the map slightly to have the geography match exactly with Japan's -- although I personally just take it to be that north on the map I have as attached is definitely north, if not only slightly off), and it's believed that the Sevii Islands are either beyond the Orange Islands or right next to them.

Side note, but it's canon as of GSC that Kanto and Johto border one another, with Kanto in the east and Johto in the west.

I've also been trying to compare the four main region's final legendary(in the normal game play) pokemon with the four gods of harmony.

But so far, only Rayquaza and Heatran check out.

    Rayquaza -Suzaku
    Heatran - Genbu

Mewtwo is genetic and Johto doesn't have one. Deoxys could substitute for Johto, but he isn't a dragon(or is Byakko (tiger) the east one).

I wonder what the new place will be called? Hopefully "Doomsville." Oh yeah!

Um, if you don't mind me making a correction here, Suzaku is the phoenix. Seiryu is the dragon.

Additionally, Johto has Ho-oh, which is a rendtion of Suzaku anyway as well as a representation of the sun to counter Lugia as a symbol of the moon. It's also the last legendary to be captured in Silver and, if memory serves me correctly, Crystal.

Furthermore, regarding the label of "final legendary in normal gameplay," wouldn't the foremost legendaries of Sinnoh (in terms of gameplay) be Palkia and Dialga, with Giratina as a possible third member to the trio? I realize you're looking in terms which legendary literally comes last, although with Rayquaza, it really doesn't fit the pattern, considering the fact that in Emerald, the sequence of which legendary is captured during the storyline changes, if I recall correctly. You'll probably find more to compare with the regions' trios, with the RBY trio being Suzaku, the GSC trio serving as Byakko the tiger, and by a bit of a stretch of the imagination, the RSE trio being Genbu. This leaves a lack of a Seiryu, though, unless you're willing to think that the legendary pixies look a little dragon-like.

Well maybe it's not that important right now. I'm a little confused here. They could always start 4 new legendaries that are like the the 4 gods and they could be located in the four other regions(Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh) as an after-game kind of thing in the next-gen.

But at least I got the geography right.

It would be a long walk for ash to get to shinnoh from hoenn

Well, sort of. See my first post in this thread. Kanto's in the east with Johto in the west, and there's nothing really between them except for the Tohjo Falls (which are kinda in Kanto anyway). However, yes, Sinnoh's in the north (or, well, northeast), Hoenn's in the south (or southwest), with the Orange Islands in the south (direct south from Kanto, although this is debatable). There's no canon establishment for Fiore (or Pokemon Island in Mystery Dungeon), so it could be near Hoenn. As for Orre, technically, it's still considered southwest, possibly on the other side of the globe, if we want to compare it to real-world locations. (That is, if Kanto, Johto, et cetera are Japan, that means Orre would be in the United States, what with being based on Arizona and all.) Some areas of Orre, however, are based on one of the Japanese islands to the southwest of the one Hoenn is based on, so if you want to lump them all together in a world nation that essentially looks like Japan, only bigger, you could plausibly say that Orre is to the southwest of Hoenn.

(So, um, I was a bit mistaken with the first line of my first post in this thread. Sorry about that.)

I do like your idea of four legends located in the four regions, though.
