Throughout history there have been many events that have gone unwritten, displaced, and completely pushed away and forgotten. How can you learn from a mistake if it is forgotten? Within every living thing there sits a darkness waiting to be awoken. All it takes is the slightest nudge in the right direction; the white mask will be broken to reveal the black darkness hidden underneath. However for every darkness there is a light as well, a yin to its yang.​

The region of Isshu is desolate from the rest of the world. It's fall time, the time of the year when the Pokémon League Committee opens for any participants willing to take the Challenge. It is a time of economic and industrial boom in Isshu, cities are booming, businesses are rising. The sudden jolt in urban activity disturbs an underground group of elite criminals who feel Pokémon should keep their wild and feral roots, Team Plasma. As the League activity grows in Isshu, so does Plasma's numbers and soon will begin to push the separation of Pokémon and Humans all together. But is there something else boiling just under the surface of Isshu? That is where you fall into play, as a new trainer in the region of Isshu you will start your journey with the hope of becoming the best trainer come years end. I won't lie to you; this will be a difficult journey. You will be faced with difficult choices and decisions that will ultimately affect your final outcome and the story before you.
It is time to discover your destiny.​

. R u l e s​

☑ My first and most important rule is if you're accepted, you must stay active. I expect you guys to post frequently, at least once a week, this is to prevent from one player falling behind and to keep the role-play alive. Besides, if one character drops out in the middle of the journey, it'll be very difficult to try and cover it up.​

☑ Since this role-play is rated PG-13+, you're pretty much free to add gore and adult situation and stuff like that. But just know where the line has to be drawn; don't have a character killed off every post, or sex every other post. Have some decency please! ​

☑ This is a very important rule, proper writing structure and length is a MUST! At minimum try to keep your posts at 2+ paragraphs, and don't forget grammar rules. I'm looking for literate role-players here.​

☑ No mary-sues, please. I'm positive everyone knows why not to do this. It's just horrible to see a character that's perfect in every way, and it's really annoying too. Oh and let me sneak this in here, if you've carefully read these rules write "if I never returned?" next to the three x's on your signup. So anyways, make sure your character isn't perfect in any way. Because we all know those kind of people either don't exist or are very boring to talk to.​

☑ Refrain from bunnying anyone else's character, god-modding and the like. If you have permission, then by all means go right ahead. You're even allowed to SLIGHTLY bunny other's characters in order to help out your own post. But if this is absolutely necessary, first try to contact the other person and work out some way to avoid the bunnying.

☑ Your posts will always be evaluated as soon as possible, depending on the situation you'll either gain some items, have Pokémon level up or even evolve, or capture a Pokémon. When you finish a battle, depending on how interesting the battle was to read will determine the experience it gains. Catching Pokémon works in a fairly similar manner, when trying to capture a Pokémon leave your post at throwing the Pokeball. The quality of the post will determine whether you catch it or not.​

☑ Legendaries will not be allowed to be captured, they play an important role in this rpg and just wouldn't be fair if they were caught and used in battle. On a similar note, only one shiny Pokémon is allowed per team. Also, if a Pokémon is being used on someone else's team and they caught it first then that Pokémon cannot be used on anyone else's team. This is to prevent like 3 people from all having the same Pokémon on their team.​

☑ Only Isshu Pokémon will be featured in this role-play, it makes sense because this region is so distant from any other.​

/APPEARANCE ➟

Physical appearance: Axel, standing at 1.92, is tall, very tall. The height is equally divided between upper body and lower body, as proportionally-wise her upper body is quite long. With her Mediterranean tan, broad shoulders (for a woman) and strong arms she can come off as a bit intimidating. It doesn't help that a slight bored/annoyed expression seems to be her default.


Axel's hair is a very dark brown, distinguishable from black only in direct sunlight. It's thin, straight and reaches down to her scapula. Nine times out of ten she has it up in a high ponytail to keep it out of the way. Her fringe is parted in the middle and cut straight horizontally at the eyebrows. Her face is long with grey-blue eyes, a slightly large, hooked nose and small pierced ears. Contrasting to the rest of her pointed features she has a somewhat larger mouth with full lips and, to finish it off, a cleft chin.

Clothing and accessories: As it is springtime, and the winter chill Is still wearing off, Axel wears a pair of dark denim jeans, a simple red tanktop and a black leather jacket over top. She prefers to push the sleeves of her jacket to her elbows., mostly because she feels a bit confined otherwise. Over the jeans she wears brown boots with sturdy grips on the bottom and white (well it used to be) faux-fur on the top. Lastly there's a dark red scarf that she wears around her waist, stuck through the loops of her jeans and tied on the side. Hanging off the scarf are 2 faux-golden hoops which can each hold three Pokéballs.

She doesn't wear much jewelry, only a small silver hoop in each ear and a silver stud in the top of her right ear. She also has a watch on her right wrist, with its face down and a braided leather bracelet, of two shades of brown, on the same wrist. And then there's her bag, a brown leather messenger bag that looks like it's seen the best of its days a long time ago. The leather has discoloured spots all over it, and there quite a few patches where the leather is broken and flaking off.

/PERSONALITY ➟


General: Axel is one independent lady, and also one with a bit of a temper. It's not hard to push the right buttons and leave her in an incredibly agitated stage. In fact, depending on her mood, it's harder not to. She prefers to stubbornly do things herself, and will persistently decline any form of human help. Even with Pokémon she only gladly accepts the help of her own team (And preferring it to be by her own command), but she's more inclined to accept Pokémon help when the need really does arise.

The stubborn nature does expand even more. She has a classic case of 'if you say right, I go left.' Also, if you're going to try and get her to apologize, you may be waiting for a very long time. 'Sorry' is only in her dictionary when she wants it to be, and that is not often. In general, Axel pretty much can't get along with the human race very well at all, and she does little effort to change that.


Well normally being a bit of a hot-head, in battles she turns into a bit of a cold calculator. She has an extreme competitive side and will want to win no matter what. 'No matter what' does, unfortunately, stretch out to her Pokémon as well. Sometimes she'll go for tactics that would seem a bit… unorthodox to some. She's in it to win it, and definitely not to lose it.

Axel was born to two loving parents in the small Kanoko town. Her mother, Annabell Frost and her father Anthon Clair had been high-school sweethearts, and married when they were both 19. Anthon had a good job working at the laboratory as an assistant and at age 22 Annabell gave birth to Isabella Axella, named for Annabells mother and Anthon's mother respectively. However, as with most women who settled down and had a baby early in their lives, Annabell started to feel like the prime of her life had been taken from her. She started to do more reckless things, going out to discos in the big city, stay out all night at parties. This caused a bit if a rift in the marriages with many arguments to boot. Long story short, Axel's parents divorced when she was but 4 years old, her dad getting custody.


Axel was always a bit on herself, though everyone could see that she was an intelligent child. She didn't often play the games the other kids did in the break, preferring to read quietly and alone. She had one or two friends, but mostly she just stayed on her own. When she was 8 she announced to everyone that she was going to go by Axella, as she hadn't seen her mother in four years, and she saw no point in having the name of the mother of a mother she could barely remember. It was also around this age that Axel discovered the delight that was sports. It was also a delight to her father, who'd grown worried of his daughter's less than social behaviour. Finally there was a way for his daughter to really get involved with others.


But Axel tends to almost obsessively throw herself into something, it was the same with sports. Suddenly most of her breaks were spent in the gym, practicing. Her competitive nature also started to develop, she started pushing not only herself, but also her teammates. Most of her afternoons were on the tennis court as well. She continued to excel at school, though most of that comes from that same obsessing behaviour, as she spent most of her time not devoted to sports on schoolwork. As she entered high-school she started getting especially interested in human sciences.

Enfin, most of her high school career was much of the same, except for one thing, her mother was requesting to see her. At first Axel had no desire to see her, but she was quite persistent and finally her father convinced her to go, even if it was just for a cup of tea. She was her mother after all. So Axel travelled to Hiun City, where her mother now owned a penthouse in one of the sky scrapers. Apparently she had married a popular musician who she'd met on one of her parties. He was almost never home, but he did give her the penthouse to live, which suited Annabell just fine. Annabell, quite the selfish mother she was, thought that having her daughter be a Pokémon champion would be a wonderful thing to brag about to her friends. So, skilled in manipulation, she suggested to Axel that she'd never be able to go on a journey. Axel ended up leaving Hiun city after a huge fight with her mother.

But her mother had succeeded in planting the idea, no, more of the insecurity inside her daughter's head. The idea kept pestering her, the fact that she wouldn't be able to do it, that it was one challenge her mother believed she'd never be able to do, and she couldn't stand it. So, after graduation, the idea exploded. She'd show her mother just how well she'd be able to be a trainer. It would only last about a year anyway, and the university would still be there after she returned. Right? And so Axel signed herself in to become a trainer.

NOW, you see I had posted the OOC thread at the same time that i submitted this thread but something happened and it didn't get posted. I had orignally planned to have my own character, using Tsutarja but since the pokemon was reserved I didn't just want to say no so I guess I'll have my character come into the story with a sixth pokemon. I'll post the OOC thread as soon as I'm done with mine, it'll be good for you guys to see an example. Also, a minor change to the SU. The FInal Party is no longer necessary.

Physical appearance: Stella is 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build. Her shoulders are wider than her hips. She is a mix of South East Asian, noticeable in her almond eyes and olive skin, and Caucasian, but is usually identified as Asian. She isn't a muscular person, but she is in relatively good shape for someone who doesn't work out regularly.

The first thing you notice about Stella is her bright red hair, with darker red tips. That isn't actually her natural hair color though. She is actually a brunette, but she dyed it red. It reaches her shoulders and curls outwards at the ends. She has straight bangs that are cut right above her eyebrows. Her ears are often covered by her thick hair. She has dark blue eyes, and an oval shaped face.

Clothing and accessories: She usually wears what she wears to her job, a waitress at the Gold Reshiram. Her outfit consists of a long-sleeved button-up shirt, with red trim on the cuffs, a black vest with pockets, and a long red skirt that reaches her knees. Her vest has three gold colored buttons, which she likes to keep shiny. She also wears round gold earrings to match them. Sometimes when it's cold, she will wear black pants instead of the skirt. Her footwear of choice is combat boots, but on the job she just wears nice loafers.

Besides her earrings, she doesn't wear much jewelry. At formal events she will wear a gold necklace, but those are rare events. She has a shiny silver watch that she always wears, sometimes on her left wrist, sometimes on her right. She keeps everything she needs in her satchel, and it isn't very organized. She is usually good at finding things in it though.

/PERSONALITY ➟
General: Stella is a spunky and headstrong woman who loves to be in charge. She tends to be very competitive when it comes to games or contests, and always enjoys to win. However, she doesn't mind losing if it was a fun enough experience. Boredom is her enemy, so she's constantly looking for a good time.

Though she is brimming with confidence, her recklessness often leads to her getting in trouble. She always acts on impulse before thinking things through. She also has a rather short temper, but she recovers pretty quickly. She rarely holds grudges, and you would have to do something pretty bad to get her to hate you. And if you get on her bad side, you won't see the end of it.

Always a social butterfly, she enjoys being around others, whether they be people or Pokemon. If she's around unfamiliar people, she tends to be more polite. However, once she gets to know you, she'll act like a big ham. She loves being flamboyant and often projects while speaking so she knows can be heard. She also enjoys making large gestures with her hands while talking.

Stella was born to Robert and Anne King in Castelia City. She lived with them, her grandmother on her mother's side, and her three siblings. She often fought with her older and younger brothers, but it was just normal sibling rivalry, and played with her baby sister. Suddenly, when she was around 10 years old, her father left the house and never returned. The divorce had shocked all of the kids, since they rarely fought as far as they knew, and they always looked so loving. Did he not care about the family? Did he ever care about it? She didn't want to believe these thoughts, but eventually she concluded that he must be a cruel and heartless person to leave his family behind and cause everyone such grief. She was never told the reason, but she actually preferred not to know.

Eventually the years passed by and they all moved on with their lives. Stella dyed her hair, because her brunette hair reminded her of her father's brown hair. She still holds a grudge against him, though she never talks about it. After she finished school, she got a job as a waitress at the Gold Reshiram. It was a popular restaurant during the evening and a place to battle and talk with Sommeliers during the day. She wanted to apply to be a Sommelier, like many of her friends were, but she didn't have any Pokemon of her own. She had pet Pokemon when she was a kid, but those were Pokemon her Grandmother had when she was a trainer. Determined to become a Sommelier, she decided that she would train up a team of Pokemon, like her younger brother was doing, and by the end of the year, she should be a great trainer and a respectable Sommelier that everyone would want to face.

She possesses straight, glossy brown hair of almost shoulder length, kept in a casual, loose hairstyle; that is coupled with a countenance of pure innocence, her large aquamarine eyes staring inquisitively at whatever the object of her attentions is at the moment. Her face, a uniform shade of peach, perpetually holds a small smile, often sprinkled with a hint of surprise.

Clothing and accessories: Her favored attire is typically composed of a silken dress with a light, cool color scheme, leaning towards dusty blues and light greens, complete with obligatory lacy borders, and a matching hairband with a rather large bow. She wears a pair of white ankle-length fur boots, and carries a white-and-blue multipurpose umbrella-slash-parasol around on her shoulder, which she usually grips onto with both of her small, slender hands. Claire also carries a small, green teddy bear and often talks to it when she is bored or lonely.

Claire is an overall lively and optimistic character, if not a bit random. She also has a kind and peaceful nature and dislikes fighting and will only do it as a last resort. She loves any kind of life, human or Pokemon, she doesn't want to see anyone die and tries to avoid any type of conflict. She is quite naive and believes anyone who is her friend is someone good and doesn't question their orders. Claire loves many out-door activities and won't shy away from camping out in the forest. She is a bit of a clutz when trying to help though, even if her intentions are good. Overall, Claire is a lively, optimistic and innocent character.

Born in Paris, France to two loving parents and a mischievous older sister, Claire was someone who had a happy life. Sure her grades weren't the best and maybe broke the rules from time to time, but all and all Claire was living a pretty happy life. She would often cling to her older sister as someone to play with and made a hobby out of harassing her. At 11 years of age her parents sent Claire and her 15 year old sister to the Isshu to study abroad. During their studies abroad her sister had decided to start her very own journey (against their parents wishes) and vowed that they would meet again one day when she was stronger, so the two bid farewell. her sisters parting left her feeling somewhat lonely, so she began collecting teddy bears and making them her friends. Claire also took up several hobbies to occupy her time while studying.
