Recently I have noticed that actions like criticals or self inflicted confused hits are not entirely random. I use a emulator with savestates, and if I just save wth the cursor right over the attack, I notice no matter how many times I redo it I will always critical, or miss, or hit myself.

If anyone plays Fire emblem, you should know of the RNG, a preset chain of numbers that move down each time they are used, and are used to calculate where a attack hits or not, ect. suprisingly much like pokemon.

I also noticed that it is random when throwing pokeballs, and have worked out that the 'numbers' change when you enter and exit the bag or pokemon menus, since I have used that when a attack misses (I reload just before the attack, enter/exit the bag, and suddenly it hits)

Now, I don't know how I could ever work out these 'numbers' but was wondering if others have noticed and if there is more...

ps this is emerald I used. probably the same for all of gen 3 but idk on other console versions.
