Pokemon ruined in the anime

Actually they do all really suck except for Yanmega! Kinda funny though.

First off I hate Gary so him having my favorite Pokemon made me almost want to punch the screen. Then there was the whole beach blank out Blastoise episode where when it woke up it look like...oh goodness.

Charmanders voice ;_;
Incedibly cruel... it sounded so silly.
Chimecho is shown so weak (okay, it not the strongest but it can learn strong attacks) and all Team Rocket Pokemon.
I mean, I really like Team Rocket but...those Pokemon can do better ( I adore Chimecho...and Victreebel, Arbok...okay they left but still...)
 
The dub killed my Staraptor. It's voice sounded so bad almost like Staravia. Also, they gave Bonsly a annoying voice in both the Japanese version and in the American version.

I completely agree with you. they seem to do that a lot with flying Pokemon. I mean they made Xatu sound like a friggin robot in the dub. >_>

Oh noez, The English Dub definitely kills a lot of voices. NOOO NOT YOU TOO XATU! It's one of my faves. TT^TT

I dunno but "Piplup's" voice is too cute. I'll always prefer "Pochama" >=D

Eh Piplip could be worse in my opinion.
 
Xatu was horrible too, yes. I used to love it in the games, I remember when I first saw it when I battled the elite four in Pokemon Silver. My next game I was sure to get a Natu. The anime sure let me down there. Xatu Xa Xa Xa Xatu Xa...what the hell.

I have to disagree with the poster who said Staryu, Starmie, and Mr. Mime. IMO, I liked them in the anime. I always liked the HYAH! when Staryu was released from it's Pokeball. I think Mr. Mime is kinda weird, but it always amused me in the episodes it appeared in.

My favorite anime Pokemon tend to be the one's who don't say their names over and over again. Onix, Gyarados, Lapras, Electabuzz, Charizard, and so on. I guess it'd be kinda weird to have Pikachu walking around squeaking like a mouse though haha.

Also, if Alakazam has an IQ of 5000...don't you think it'd be able to talk? Or maybe at least learn to talk in less time than it took Meowth? Or talk telepathically? I hate how the anime Alakazam's get their butts wooped all the time.
 
Gliscor. I hate how it acts and I hate how the name is said. I always said Gly-soar instead of Gly-Score.
It looks cool in games though.

I can't stand what they did to my Empoleon in Japan. It sounds like an angry opera singer. >_>

Yeah, I loved Staru's and Starmie's voices, they were hilarious XD It's quite funny how a star with no mouth can make a noise at all, though XD All those Pokemon you listed there (except Mr Mime) keep their Japanese voices. Dubbed, they probably would have said something XD
 
The episode Glory Blaze ruined two awesome Pokemon, Metagross & Zangoose, especially Zangoose.
 
the pokemon that was ruined for me was Luxray. when i saw that episode i was disgusted by the way it sounded and the way it looked in general. they turned it into an almost cute pokemon when luxray is suppose to be super awesome
 
I never liked Mewtwo, as it's forever identified with its EMO angsting. Pass.

I also don't like what they did to James' Cacnea and their refusal to let it evolve.

Haha yeah, I always thought Mewtwo would've been much more cruel than emo. You mean it seriously changed it's mind because of Ash? Really? Emo.

What happened with James's Cacnea? I'm not at D/P yet, and I just watched the episode in Advanced where James gets Cacnea.
 
The anime ruined quite a few Pokemon for me, but the one I am most annoyed about was Suicune, especially the new D/P one where it rescues Nurse's Joy's daughters... I always imagined Suicune as saying an flowing elegant and ethereal sound of, "Cuuuuuune..." and was by far my favourite 'Legendary dog' in Pokemon Crystal for its beautiful appearance. but when it showed up in the anime... It didn't even say anything, not even a 'Cuuuuune' sound - and it didn't even stay to see Dawn and the others! I was kinda hoping Ash would befriend it as usual and it joined his team, that would be epic and wonderful. I was annoyed for days after-wards after seeing that episode "Drifting for Drifloons".

I imagine the show ruined Drifloon? I can see them doing a pretty bad job with it.
I agree with you on Suicune. I remember when I first saw it back in Johto. All it did was go CUNE!!!!! CUNEE!!! That was annoying, because I too thought it would sound (like what you said).
