The sprites are not the best but, they will improve with practice.
I think they are great because I can not do any better.

the back sprite does look incorrect, but that was my first sprite i made, just forgot where i saved it on my computer, my sprites will get better, just depends what pokemon i use to remake(im no good when it comes to using the regi's for a remake)

EDIT: if you want any more remakes pm me and i will make them for your use only

Like I said, he will get better.
He just needs practice.

I know that the link for the download is dead so, I will update it as soon as I get to a reply on a pm concerning that.

I have updated the credits to take into account the D/P/P graphics and the unedited base version for traditional RMXP games of my new menu system.

It still has a long way to go.
It will take a long time at this rate.
I am, still greatly in need of help.
Help will make the game much better and quicker.
 
A region map would be very nice!
I would like a d/p/p style map that looks like this very messy attachment.
The numbers are based off of the scale that magnamite put in his thread (https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=174795)
He said that he would make maps but, he did not.

If it hard to understand just tell me.
If you can could you try to make it look less blocky.

I have not gotten a comment recently from anyone except carmaniac.
I have added new download links to rapidshare and megauploads.

I really hate to give so much negative criticism but for the 10 min I attempted to play the game so many things were wrong with it. Just because you know what is going to happen and where events are going to take place doesn't mean that the player is going to know exactly what is going on.

  • The game loaded and there was a sandstorm... IN the characters bedroom.
  • As I went downstairs, it began to snow.
  • The staircases really need fixed, they are just hanging out in the middle of several rooms.
  • The lab is WAY to big and is to spacious.
  • The mapping is very square and unoriginal. Objects seem out of place and just seem to fill empty space not needed everywhere.
  • I pretty much got suck on Starter Island and gave up. There is no direction at all as to what the player is supposed to be doing while playing the game. Events that are in place don't seem natural at all either.

Overall, this needs quite a bit of work done to it. With some time and hard work, this can become a brilliant game like many others here on PC.
 
I'd have to agree with Damianleonhart, it does need a bit off work e.g the weather in the rooms, have you tried the editor to change the settings of each map?
If you need any help at all I will be glad to give a hand.
 
First, read other posts before posting.
check out the known errors section.
Check out every other post (pretty much) on comments about mapping.
After I do a little more graphics updating I will attend to all of the problems.
Could you be a little bit more specific about where you got stuck on starter isle
(amethyst isle).
I know that the game needs a bit of work but, I mostly need a little bit of help.

At the one year anniversary of the game, September 2009, I will put up a game showcase thread and update the story and scripts.
The story is simplified in this thread so it is not very mysterious.
Oh, Don't worry the game will contain lots of mystery.

I have just finished resizing the d/p/p trainer sprites and I will insert some of them today.
If all goes well this is going to be the last step in adding d/p/p materials.

On a different note carmaniac is re-doing square crossing with some of the new tiles.

I am currently having problems with my new menu system and it is currently on hold for that reason.
Progress will continue slowly (if I do not get help) after I re-do some more maps.
I have asked a intermediate scripter who made the new hof menu for help.
He said it was too complicated and hard.

I will add updates whenever possible.
 
I like the concept and features of this game, so good job Ty101. The only problem I have is with the maps. I can see you are getting better and better, but still not enough.
