@Ciz It's alright. When I saw that you were doing winter I thought it wouldn't work out well anyway. Only way to get a good Flora Sky walkthrough is to sit through youtube videos, but if you ever do the spring challenge (I'm going to use Flora Sky for Spring expert mode) Flora Sky would be the best choice there seems to be a wide array of green pokemon to keep with the theme.

oh and Rule update: Our one champion doesn't have to do anything, but when you beat the e4 I need to know all your pokemon's moves. 1. It'd be interesting to see what moveset you went with, and 2. I guess it should be required since I have move requirements.

Time for my update:

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

Got the 6th badge fighting the bird chick. Really my only problem was that Altaria. For some reason even when I was competing back in the day with ev'd pokemon, and even now, once that dragon dance is broken out I wanna cry thinking I don't have a chance, but then I remembered these gym leaders are stupid and like to mess with their array of moves while I mess with its status.

Got that badge, then cried cause I forgot to save.

So I redid it and just had Shmoo and Langa (whose name will be changed soon) go on a rampage.

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

Before I was an idiot and didn't save my game I was trying to train an Electrike, but then I was like f that when I restarted and decided to go for Kcelon thinking i'd rather have a mixed attacker.

I raised that up fighting trainers, and then it was time to deal with Aqua and Magma drama.

And omg was the gym impossible

So now I am here

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

and my wonderful team is

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

Breadfruit is my faithful HM slave THAT ALSO MEETS PARTY REQUIREMENTS SO WONDERFUL

Yay it's update time!
I didn't do all that much but oh well
Small steps count too!

Defeated the rocket grunt guy that claims to be an innocent bystander
When obviously he's not >.>

I caught a next team member
Snap the male rattata! (Inspired by Snap - I've got the power!)
It's adamant nature yay!

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

While on the boat Snap evolved!

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

My rival went down pretty easily since I did have higher levels
Rubbed the captain and obtained Cut!
Teached it to Snap (made it forget Tackle)

Not going for the Gym yet
Catching some dex fillers first for the sidequest thingies
Caught a Meowth and Pidgey
Trained up Pidgey so it evolved
Dumped both in the box

Caught my next team member:
Enya the female Diglett!

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

I decided to level up my team to about level 26
Seemed like a nice bench mark for the third gym
Enya evolved!

Challenge Update: New challenge updated to this forum

Anyway I'm done with Emerald Version bleh. It wasn't really that fun it turned into work ;_;

So aqua magma drama finally over with. They are no team rocket. They all just suck with their Mightyenas. The rain badge however was not fun. Even though my little lizard has thunder it was still difficult D:

I might actually try it out in the future ^^

Gah I meant Ariados
and cause I was thinking of your typical fantasy novels when I was writing it like Lord of the Rings, full of dragons, see creatures, and always a giant spider prowling around

I like making theme challenges, but if I made a new thread I'd have to participate in the challenges, and I can only commit myself to 1 at a time right now which would be the Season ones :x

Speaking of which Fall Expert Mode will be the next thing I release

So update on what I'm doing.

I tried to play Snakewood version, and it looks like a promising game that I have saved on my iPod to enjoy later. It just wasn't the right game to use for the Fall challenge, that and I've had enough of 3rd gen for now. Liquid Crystal I thought would just be a gba remake of Crystal (and I'm going to get a DS and Soul Silver for my b-day so I thought that'd be a waste of time), but it has all the pokes up to 3rd gen in it, doesn't require trading to evolve, and some extra stuff so I was all for it.

That and I could get my first poke right away.

Since I'm doing it on my computer emulator I totally forgot to take screen shots I'll remember next time I'm just sleepy right now, but I just beat Whitney, my Pidgetto is up to lv. 30 and now I'm working on a Kadabra. I can't make up my mind between what will be my next psychic, but I know I either want Umbreon or Sneasel. (I'm being a loser and only keep 4 to a team so they can level up fast). At the rate I'm blowing through this it won't be long, but then again I have to go through Kanto to, bleh.

Okay... well I tried to do fall with Liquid Crystal
and as usual I went forever without saving
ran into a glitch and the game restarted
boo
So yellow version for Summer
hacked in a Lapras
then I remembered it was an ice type
So Horsea

Before I fought Misty I got an Oddish, because Vileplume is red and qualifies
I just f'd up a second ago and erased absorb D:< so I gotta suffer til it learns mega drain
boo

It was easy to take Misty down with a combination of Horsea using smokescreen, Oddish using poison powder, and then absorb

Just finished with the SS Anne

PLAYER: Tidus
BADGES: 2
POKeDEX: 6

Levithan / Horsea
Lv. 29

Gloom / Yuna
Lv. 30

and Ravenclaw from Tumblr has completed his winter challenge D:< I need to hound him for his movesets

Some screens for you from the final battle! Its should be said that I put the entire battle on Glalie. I healed him while using x accuracy and almost wiped out wallace with his one hit ko attack, but another poke was faster so he fainted and I cleaned up with truth's hyperbeam.

So here is my first travel Journal on Pokemon FireRed Winter Challenge!

* Picked Charmander as a starter.
* Leveled it on grass to level 10, but avoided trainer battles until i caught a Caterpie. (RED-GREEN Rule).
* Evolved Caterpie to Metapod. (STILL GREEN)
* Reached Pewter City, with Charmander LVL. 13 and Metapod LVL.9.
* Defeated Brock with Charmander's Iron Tail, but accidentally leveled up Metapod in battle, and didnt press the B Button to cancel evolution.
* My Metapod evolved into Butterfree, but now it is banned because even if Butterfree is a white Pokemon, it is still FLYING. (BUG-FLYING).
* Caught another Caterpie just to replace Butterfree and advance through battles.
* Ended up on Mt. Moon outskirts…
*Setback : I should've chosen Bulbasaur, but then again there is no early game (or before 1st GYM) REDs, so…

*Setback 2 : My Charmander will evolved into CHARIZARD soon… FLYING Pokemon are banned, so… Have to find another Red Pokemon…

*Setback 3 : No ice/white Pokemon before the Gym. Earliest WHITE is BUTTERFREE, but still not eligible due to the type it carries - FLYING.

Damn its hard to cope up with the challenge requirements due to the limited number of available Pokemon :D .

But here is my planned line-up:

Clefable (Fairy Group) (Normal)
Victreebell (Green) (Grass-Poison)
Macgargo (Red) (Fire)
Zangoose (White) (Normal) (Hack In)
Jynx (Ice/Psychic) (Trade in Cerulean)
Absol (White) (Dark) (Hack In)

Will Hack some Pokemon to accomplish the challenge.

Emulator Photos Soon, cause my directories had gone bad, and i cant find my photo location.

Tiny update again
I really haven't had much time to play this one lately

Lt Surge was easy with Enya
Magnitude ftw!
The only damage I took was because of Pikachu and Raichu's Quick Attack

[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

Got HM 05 of the assistant and moved on to rock tunnel.
Caught a Voltorb on the way and taught it Flash

Near the end of the tunnel Bud grew to level 32 and evolved into Venusaur

Meanwhile I'm trying to keep all the other's levels high too

Snap is falling behind though

I'm pro in two days I beat Yellow version, I put up the poll though because I thought summer was terribly easy it just seemed like there is nothing really special to my team, but that expert mode for summer should be a bit difficult for someone.

Attaching thumb nails :D

Only times I really struggled was when I was leveling up my aero, but it happened quickly. Gary became a bit difficult. The rest of the elite 4 was super easy, but his Jolteon was using Thunder against everything, as well as pin missile. Eventually Lulu was brought out and ended the trouble with a Fire Blast

I'm going to add another quest to the forum, it would be awesome if guys could rate the forum and help spread the word ^_^

I voted for no
I really had a though time with these challenges
Actually spend quite a while figuring out my team before getting started

And I actually enjoy the part where I can get the team members
You have to keep in mind so many things it's actually fun to do

I'm still in a pinch for the fall and winter challenges
They are very hard to put a team together in the first 2 generations
I'm even having a hard time getting a team together in Emerald since I can't trade

Since the other challenge thread I was on got locked I'm clear again for Crystal
But I suppose another crystal run is out of the question
But then I'd pick silver which is practically the same >.>
I can hack in/trade anything in crystal...

I hopefully have a new challenge that will be approved soon. I've got to, of course, compete in that so I don't get my thread closed down like that one you were in. Then I'll return to do fall but I'll still be reading your guy's updates :D

Since I'm no longer busy up to my eyeballs, I'm joining in on Flora Sky and I'll start off with Spring Expert. I'll keep this really short and just post a screen shot.

I can't count you as an Ultimate challenge until you complete your first one, which one are you going to start with so I can add you to the list?

Looks like a lot of new people are in =)
I haven't played at all today but I hope to get something done by Monday

I will go in that order, so starting with Winter.

I think I have my team decided for the Winter Challenge, but I have a question:

If your Pokémon evolves from a Pokémon that is not in the same classification, does it still count? For example, I want to have Medicham & Flygon on my team - but Medicham evolves from a blue Pokémon and Flygon evolves from a brown Pokémon - could I still use Trapinch and Meditite? If the answer to that is yes, then my team is:
"image removed""image removed""image removed""image removed""image removed"
I'll be hacking in Snorunt.

Update 1 - Roxanne
Character Name: Amy
Game Version: Emerald
Current Pokémon Team:
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

Comments: Used A-Starter to replace Mudkip with Snorunt

Important Events
- Chose Snorunt as starter, nicknamed it as Snowhat
- Beat Brendan's Treecko with 2 moves
- Rushed through the game
- Helped pathetic Wally catch a crappy Ralts
- Rushed through again
- Grinded like hell
- Beat Roxanne in a battle involving extreme luck (constant Icy Wind)

Team:
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

Snowhat / Snorunt m Lv.20 @ Nothing
Mild Nature / Inner Focus
- Icy Wind
- Headbutt
- Double Team
- Bite
Snorunt is okay. Powder Snow and Icy Wind were great attacks - Powder Snow was constantly freezing and Icy Wind lowers speed like a devil. I haven't used any other moves but those two. I'll be using this guy until Flannery.

Update 2 - Brawly
Character Name: Amy
Game Version: Emerald
Current Pokémon Team:
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

Comments: I just realized that you can't find a Meditite in Emerald - switched Medicham with Solrock

Important Events
- Helped pathetic Mr. Devon and the Peeko homo
- Made it to Dewford Town
- Got Flash
- Grinded in the Gym and the cave
- Beat Brawly with a critical Icy Wind

Team:
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

Snowhat / Snorunt m Lv.25 @ Nothing
Mild Nature / Inner Focus
- Icy Wind
- Headbutt
- Protect
- Bite
Pretty much the same as before, Icy Wind and Headbutt, maybe an occasional bite. When he evolves, I know from experience he will get a ton better. I will get Wiggs & Sol soon, then Flygon and Castform will be coming up afterwards. My current HM slave is Nincada.
Update 3 - Wattson
Character Name: Amy
Game Version: Emerald
Current Pokémon Team:
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

Comments: I get to catch two Pokémon this time!

Important Events
- Found Steven and did Devon's errands
- Met Prof. Birch again
- Killed Brendan
- Raped Wally
- Grinded
- Beat Wattson (thankfully I had a Dire Hit and criticals just kept coming)

Team:
[PokeCommunity.com] Pokemon: Seasons Challenge!

Snowhat / Snorunt m Lv.32 @ Nothing
Mild Nature / Inner Focus
- Icy Wind
- Headbutt
- Protect
- Crunch
HUGE improvement. MASSIVE. Crunch is a total destruction maker for this little guy. He got OHKO's on Wattson's Voltorb & Electrike. Icy Wind is beast as always, and Protect saved me from a few Thunder Waves. Thanks to Parlyz Heals, Super Potions and a Dire Hit, 5 lucky Icy Winds took out Manectric & Magneton.
