Timeline: 3rd Gen Universe

5 Years after the events of Pokemon FRLG, a young hero and his childhood friend start their journey in Pallet Town. However, after the disbandment of Team Aqua in the hoenn region, multiple branches refused to give up on Team Aqua, creating Neo Team Aqua. Because of the loss of technology, Neo Team Aqua is in desperate need of tech, they're first step towards recreation is stealing the most stable version of the Pokedex, in which Professor Oak of the Kanto Region may be working on. After the creation of the Johton League, which combines the Kanto League Gyms with the 4 surviving Johto League Gyms, multiple Qualifiers Tournaments are being held at New Bark Town to decide which trainers will be taking on the Gym Challenge, eventually leading up to the Johton League Tournament after all 12 Johton League Badges are obtained.

I'm not going to make a release date. Why? I'm 13 and still in school, and I really don't want the release date to get in the way of studying and exams.
This doesn't mean development will be slow, because I'll be updating the thread daily.

New Viridian City will be much bigger than the original viridian city.

Thanks. However, one of my features has been scrapped.
The feature which allows you to get the same badge from multiple gyms is going to be scrapped.
I'm trying to create a custom trainer card, and this feature just won't work. I hope I don't disappoint anybody.
This feature is also a very confusing concept, I think it's best if we ignore it for now.

Here's what I have done so far.
Please note that this isn't the complete version. There are still things to improve on the map.

Please notice that you should edit the edges, because nobody would like to see them.

First of all the tileset... You really have more tiles and variations to remapp Viridian.
Bring more ideas in it, for example a tiny park in the middle of this City, or a river from the ocean right site.
The frlf tiles are ok, but I dont like them much...
The structure is acceptable, but not that one...its way to "open" and linear.
the size is ok.

Thanks. I might resize the map and just start over, that is if I'm going to add an extra area. Btw, this game is trying to keep to the style of Pokemon frlg/rse, so I don't plan on changing the tilesets anytime soon.

Very interesting...
But the upper part of viridian is way to empty... more trees or flower beds for example.
Also its to bulky...
And show that Viridian City has a ground type gym...It Looks like a water typ City in case of gym

This isn't a revamp of Viridian City. After Mt. Silver's eruption most of the old Viridian City was destroyed and eventually relocated, the gym leader is no longer blue and the gym isn't a ground type gym anymore. It's most likely going to be water after I deal with the next four chapters.

Btw, I'm using snap edges on this map, considering there's a route gate and a forest entrance.

So the forest entrace is good and the silph co building (I dont know what it actually is) too.


But you have still to many "lines" in it. Make more chaos that it Looks more natural.

Yeah I'm not so good at mapping. I'm a creative person in general, but don't really have the sense of depth to do mapping, but I'm going to keep trying anyway.

So you said that I had too many "lines"? Are you referring to the sidewalks?

The mountain tiles add depth, and more of a structure.
The coast is part of an autotile, it would look crappy and wouldn't meet the standards of a Pokemon fangame if I were to remove it.
