2nd Gen Pokemon Silver/Gold Trading Problem.

    I have tried to trade from Gold to Silver but i keep getting "Your friend is not ready".

    I have all 3 badges, 2+ pokemon in my team, im using a link cable and im using GBA SP's with the time cap working on both.

    What am i doing wrong?
     
    OK, there may be several problems:

    • You don't use the Time Casual for trading from Silver to Gold, just use the regular trading thing.

    • What sort of Game Link cable are you using? 'Cos I'm don't think that a GBA link cable will work with GBC games.

    • Check your communication ports for dust, etc.
     
    Yeah, it wont work with anything whatsoever.

    It must be a GBA Link cable.
     
    Well, it's best to be sure. There is a distinct difference between a GBC and GBA link cable: on the plug, the GBA one has a small part sticking out in the middle and the GBC one does not. I think this was installed so that the GBA cable couldn't be fit into a Game Boy or Game Boy Colour.

    If it definatly is a GBC cable then there might be a fault with your cable (internal breakage, etc.). If not then it's your Game Pak or console and there's not much you can do about it.
     
    yea sometimes that happened to me aswell
