Story​

You, the 17 year old Hero (Ray) or Heroine (Luna) have just arrived in Stardust City, the bustling metropolis of Health and Riches. You have moved here to achieve your goal, of making a life of success and happiness.
You aren't just a regular pedestrian, however. You've had your share of conflicts. A few know you for your previous rough stats as a vigilante.
Coming here to build a new reputation, you find it is hardly as it seems. There is still corruption here, with small-time thieves and bandits trying to make their living.
One of these rouges, Bone as he calls himself, is friendly enough to show you around the city. During which Flesh, Bone's enemy comes along.
(Oh yes, Flesh and Bone.)
A fight breaks out on the street between them and police officers are there, stopping the ruckus. Trying to come to a resolution, you tell them all of your dream to find happiness.
But when the police recognize you and put you in jail, you must make a choice.
Will you be the honest one and help them maintain peace?
Or will you break out and wreak havoc with your crime boss stats?

For the whole region thing, you do travel, but not for gym badges. You'd have to go find the 8 different people that each have a piece of the blueprint of the DiShot. It is the layout for a gigantic and potientially destructive weapon. For the Peace side, you need to destroy the pieces. As the Chaos, you need to collect them.​

That's all I've got for now. I know it doesn't seem very "pokemon," but I'd like to give it a different storyline rather than just Collecting 8 Badges, Defeating the Pokemon League...yada yada yada...
As for what it would be a hack of, I'm not sure. Probably Ruby.​

It's a pretty s(crappy) idea at this point. Hehe.

Its actually quite a good idea I think, however some details do need to be sorted out.

Firstly, I am going to cringe at the Espeon/Umbreon starters... evolved Pokemon *shudder*. A good alternate, due to their rivalry, might be Seviper / Zangoose.

Secondly, are you learning /do you have any hacking skills? Its always good to know something.

(Also, I recommend FireRed ;) just because it has nicer base tiles imo)

Well honestly, I'm trying to do the whole "Sun and Moon" thing and I can't think of any other pair of pokemon that fit the description. Evolved or not, it's also good to train Umbreon and Espeon from a low level, so they can learn Bite and Confusion, some of their element attacks.

Seviper and Zangoose are pretty unique, sounds like a good idea.

I'm trying to learn scripting at the moment, but my XSE is very picky. It won't let me do the extentions starting with @ or $ and it hates boxset and compare. I do like spriting. Although I'm not much of an experienced spriter. I have a good idea of what would be the OW/Sprites of the Girl and Boy Trainers. As for the tiles, not so much. But I'm a fast learner.

FireRed does have nicer tiles...Makes you wonder if they slacked off when they made Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.

Why not Solrock and Lunatone? If you change the moves and the types, it won't be too hard for them to be even more opposite.
