Pokemon Solaris

So this is kind of already in the works for some little things but the reason I'm posting this as an Idea is because it can't really happen without some help since there's somethings I just can't do myself, anyways, on to about Pokemon Solaris.

Lore
Fifteen years after the events of Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green, many new changes have came to the Kanto region! New Pokemon, new Types, and new Abilities have been discovered! Most of these discoveries are credited to Professor Gary Oak and Professor Samuel Oak. Champion Brendan of the Hoenn region has moved to Kanto, following after his marriage to Champion Red of the Kanto region. With Team Rocket disbanded, the Kanto region is experiencing new prosperity for tourism and even research, it all seems perfect!

Plot
In Pokemon Solaris, you, the protagonist, are the adopted child of Red and Brendan. Given your status as the child of two Champions, you have high pressure on you and many organizations seek to test your skill or if you have the heroic streak your Fathers displayed. Upon your adoption and integration into the Kanto region, a new team is formed. Team Lunae. Team Lunae is an offshoot of Team Rocket, lead by a mysterious man going by the name Silver, hailing from the Johto region. This Team is far more aggressive than Team Rocket ever was, resorting to hostages and terrorism to get their message and goals across. Their goal is painfully simple, to destroy the world. How has not been included, but they've left all of Kanto shaking in their boots at what is to come.

Added Abilities - Comatose (Comfirmed for Sun and Moon), Corrosion (Confirmed for Sun and Moon), Sunburnt (New), Shadow Lurker (New), Shadow Fear (New), and much more!
New Type Advantages!
New Moves!
New Pokemon!
Increased Difficulty!

What's already been started: Type Advantage Changes and Text Editing.

Hmm... I like this idea, and seems like it's a good idea for a starting game honestly.

But I have some points I'd like to make...

While I am gay, and would love to have some official LGBT representation in the pokemon series (seems like were getting there with the nonbinary Blanche) I think the Red and Brendan thing seems rather... gimmicky? I don't know. I think I'd have too play the game in order to see how I feel about it.

Though I like the idea of the pressure being high on you and the entire prosperity of region being on the threat of ruin.

Not sure how I feel about new types... Those are rather hit and miss with the fandom.

I have to agree with Seeka on the RedXBrendan approach. But it does give you the reason that your player character is expected to do all this good and be super powerful. If it was a Ruby/Emerald hack, I personally would have chosen maybe like StevenXWallace or something along the lines of that. Actually, I'm not sure what I would even pick for FR, maybe LanceXBruno (or something).

And as for the types. My hack introduces the Light type too, so in my head it's not going to be a difficult type for you to use. Sound on the other hand, it doesn't seem like a viable type.

Other than that, I hope to see what you accomplish.

I think if they wanted to keep up with the idea of playable characters, I think Red x Gold may make a better couple. or Red x Green (or is it Blue?). Red did become champion and is quite a challenge in the second gen games, so we can say he is an actual leaguemaster/champion/important character.

It is mostly the Brendan part hat I don't think makes sense. But I give them benefit of the doubt due to Brendan being from another region, and how international travel is possible, but not by non-legendary pokemon.

My other point is kind of with the fairy typing, which seems to act like a light type already. Though I suppose a light type would be weak to dark but also is super effective against it and ghosts.

but the story is interesting and I'd love to see where it goes.

Yeah the Red x Gold/Blue does seem better. But hey, it's really up to the creator.

Every time I hear of Brendan in the Hoenn games, I think it's me. (My name is spelled the same way.) And considering I'm also gay, I thought of it as this being very neat to play. So, I hope this ends up somewhere.

As for the Light type, it's almost like you read my hack page. My Light type is both super effective and weak to Dark. It's not very effective to Ghost but you practically took it from my page. XD

We'll I'm not when we're going to get a gay guy in the game, since it is Japan. Though japan as creators seems different from its culture as a whole. And with how Fire emblem is, and many other things considering the nintendo mainstays, I think it's possible to have my LGBT in pokemon. if not we always have hacks and fanmade stuff. And RPs.

I thought of my Light type as being like actual light. Light gets rid of the dark, Dark goes where there is no light. The Light to Ghost thing was Light has little effect to ghosts and Ghosts can take over light (by making it dark). I also have a thing with Bug type having no effect to Light as bugs are basically drawn to light and some other reason I can't think of right now. If you want to know more you could check out my hack in my signature. It's not quite finished and I'm trying to work out some issues but it's playable.

It does sound interesting, but I may prefer to see it when it's closer to beig a finished product~

I need to work on my hack as well. Right now it's mostly bases and working on suff. I'm hoping to get n some tilests and finish the first town/city may be by the end of the week.
