Sissy stared at the entrance to the storage room curiously, pondering over whether she should go inside or not.

"When d'you think we go insi--"

However, her whispered question to Claudes was interrupted by one of the people standing infront of them. A girl, greeting them both in a rather unorthodox manner, alongside her Charizard Soulmon who quickly cut in and introduced the both of them properly. On her shoulder, Sissy could sense that Claudes found the entire meeting hilarious and had a sarcastic remark planned, but she was faster and beat her part to the punch with a comment of her own creation. "I'll take your word for it, then," her expression shifted into a mildly entertained sort of appearance. Her reply wasn't meant to be a light-hearted joke, just a simple disinterest towards testing that theory in an actual battle. Claudes felt relatively the same, but he didn't feel like showing any charisma at the moment. Instead, bitter cynical actions would replace friendly small talk.

"Right. Well, my two-legged, one-armed friend here is Francis," cue a dark glare from Sissy, "You can call me Claudes. If you care.." he added the last bit boredly, sinking down closer to his human's neck. The Ditto eyed this other Soulmon, Saraph curiously but not openly positive about what he saw. Blue instead of red. How odd. However, with his own coloration, Claudes decided that was the pot calling the kettle black. Silly, silly, silly..

"Call me Sissy," asserted the trainee female, placing a hand on the middle of her chest and taking a low, sweeping bow, Cheshire cat smile still plastered on her lips. Now that she was meeting someone, she could show off her humorous side without being stopped every so often by her make-shift conscience. Stupid little blob- he thought he was so smart. Sissy stood from her bow to fully inspect the other girl. About a foot shorter, possibly more, so her smokey eyes faced downward as always. Fiery red hair and emerald irises stared back at her, so Sissy's first assumption was that this person was as hot-tempered as all of the other redheads encountered before. Despite the woman's height, Sissy assumed she was older. Most of the people shorter than her were older than her as well. Would they be working together on this mission? How strange..

Claudes did a quick transformation into a miniature version of the stripe-wearing trainee. "You can call her a Sissy because she is one," noted Claudes in a mocking tone, and he only shrugged innocently when the spoken-of teen leered as her tiny self-portrait. He morphed back to his original state, ignoring the heated gaze entirely.

"I'm Suke, and this is Alydia." The Ambipom on the boy's shoulder waved one of its tails.

I think we passed the door.

Meredith turned around to see that Camden was right. There were three pairs of people and their soulmon standing farther down the hallway behind them.

"Umm, I think the door is back there." Meredith, Suke, Camden, and Alydia walked back towards the others. "Boy do I feel stupid."

Meredith took a quick glance at all of the nervous faces. Alicia was talking to another girl. The new girl was short her reddish hair swept back into a ponytail. She looked smart and inquisitive. Better make friends with her, Meredith thought. The other kid was a boy with a large set jaw. He looked like he had been to the North Pole and back because he was so pale. He was also decked out in all camo clothes which made him look like he had already been in the war. Meredith also thought she should get on his good side.

I have a bad feeling about that guy. He doesn't seem very trustworthy.

The new girl spoke first "So, any ideas on the situation we're in?"

Respond quick, get her to like you.

"Maybe we're some new squad of elete fighters?" Meredith hoped this sounded funny, but apparently it wasn't. Everyone stared at her. "It was a joke!"

Katie giggled softly. That would be rather amusing. Raion grinned. "I like this one." Katie laughed again at her Soulmon's honesty. Glancing around, she saw the door to the storage room and paused.

Picking favorites, are we? He rolled his eyes.

Says you. Looking at them all, she thought vaguely what a group of mismatched beings they were together.

All of us together, would we kill each other or go to victory first?

Victory. Humans hate to lose. Katie agreed and broke off.

She bowed her head lightly. "My name is Katie Willow and this is my Soulmon Raion. And you are?" she questioned, addressing the shy-looking girl.

"Meredith Hague and Camden." Meredith hated conversations like this. She brushed her thick hair out of her face and pressed on, "I think we should head inside."

Meredith had her hand just on the doorknob when she saw someone else walking down the hallway. He had a honchkrow perched on his shoulder and he was jogging towards them.

"Another person?" said Alicia breathlessly.

"Are you here for the meeting in the storage room too?" Meredith looked at the boy inquisitively. He had a grey coat, grey pants, grey gloves, and to top it all off, his grey hat was adorned with a large red feather. He looked like something out of a story book. And when she noted how tall he was, she snorted with laughter.

*Sorry Charchic, I just want to take part in the action :p*

Getting no obvious response from the guy he had bumped into, Samuel decided that he probably was late and that he'd better be off. Promptly brushing off his clothes while Hecate adjusted her crest, the twosome walked off with a "Good day to you" to the guy.

"What do you reckon he was doing down here?" Hecate asked. Samuel shrugged. "You know... perhaps he was just hungry and wanted to steal himself a snack?" he replied, but when he saw the Honchkrow's expression he quickly added "Hey, it's none of our business anyway. We have things to attend to of our own". Hecate stared at him, but she seemed to find his answer satisfying. "Yes, you're right..." she remarked in a dreamy voice. "We have our own... hey, look alive Samuel! Even more people! What's going on tonight?"

Hecate was right. There was quite a lot of people standing there. Outside the storage room door. Oh, man... Samuel flushed. What a fool he was. Obviously, he wasn't going on that secret mission alone. He considered ramming his dead head into the wall, but thought the better of it. Instead, he took in the crowd. Both they and their Soulmons came in all shapes and sizes.

One of them spoke to Samuel. A girl of aristocratic bearing. Broad shoulders, hair that almost looked like brown wool, clothes coloured green and yellow. And her age- it was impossible to decide on. A strange person, all in all. She asked him if she was headed for the storage room as well, then chortled for some odd reason.

Samuel flushed and began to stutter. Why did surprise always lead to confusion? He looked to the ground, but Hecate simply said: [/I]"Of course he is"[/I]. Silence. Samuel noticed Hecate's look. She stared at the girl's impressive Dragonite, and her look clearly said Try to be witty and you'll get a Night Slash in your face". She rapped Samuel in the back with her wing, and he quickly pulled himself together.

"Yeah, my name is Samuel Pinefield, and this is Hecate" he said.

"Meredith and Camden" She gestured at her dragonite. Meredith looked up at Camden. He was looking at Hecate with the biggest eyes she had ever seen. But in these eyes was not the normal Camden she always knew. In these eyes was something so fierce and so powerful that it almost scared her.

"Cam," she whispered, "what's wrong?"

No response.

"I-I think we should head in now." Meredith quickly flashed the door open and herded everyone inside ahead of her. Before she went inside herself, she looked back at the Dragonite. "Camden, are you okay?"

I'm not sure about that Honchkrow. I'm just not sure. He scares me, and I'm not sure why.

This made Meredith even more worried about him than a second ago. Camden is normally never afraid. And who, she thought, would want to scare a Dragonite?

"Let's get inside. Come on" Meredith grabbed Camden's arm and led him into the room.

Meredith was afraid. She was afraid of the Honchkrow, sitting on the oddly dressed boy's shoulder. She was afraid of the uncharted futures that lie ahead of her. And most of all, Meredith was afraid that she would lose herself and her soulmon to all of the fear that would soon come.

Robert heard a friendly voice. He glanced up to find a girl looking at him. He ignorantly looked down, pretending not to hear her. He wasn't in the mood for this. He then felt a huge nudge in his side and yelled in pain.
"What was that for?" he whispered glaring at Polo.
"Talk to her," muttered Polo.
Robert looked up with a smile that was obviously fake.
"I'm Robert Smash," he said through his teeth.
He sighed and turned away again. Polo sighed and smiled politely at the girl.

"Interesting," Sera said in a bored tone, half listening to what the girl with only one arm and her Ditto Soulmon had to say. Saraph grunted and lightly nudge the his girl. Sera muttered something under her breath before saying out loud, "So Sissy, I'm quite curious, would you mind telling me what kind of devision you are training for? Like what job you'll think you'll do or...anything along that line."

The question was more then just breaching a new subject to get to know the girl more and to passed the time as more People came. She was actually curious as to what that girl could do with just one arm. She didn't think that she would make a very good Close Combat person or a Long Range, unless she had really good eyesight, and Scout just didn't seem up her ally. So that left either Trainee or Healer. The latter seemed a bit more like it but she wouldn't be too surprise if she was a Trainee. They were always looking for people.

But that thought left her head when she heard a deep coughing coming from inside the storage room. She turned around towards the sound, and gasp as she saw who came from behind a few boxes. It was a tall and some what bluky man in a blue and green outfit. He had a lot of medals on his left breast and had gray hair and a mustache. Beside him stood a tall and very powerful looking black Garchomp. Stumbling a bit, both Sera and Saraph quickly saluted the older man, making him chuckle.

"G-General Mc Murfee!" Sera gasped. "I-It's very good to see you! We came...just as you asked. When did you get here?"

"Oh, not that long ago," General Mc Murfee said, then motioned at everyone. "I would like you all to come into the storeage room. I have something very important that I want to tell you all. It's about the mission I told you about."

As Kylie and Mimi rounded the corner they stopped short and stared down the length of the hallway at the group of people already heading in through the storage room door. "Well I guess we're not the only ones chosen for this mission!" Mimi sighed a little bit.

Kylie's face flashed a look of disappointment for a brief second, and then turned back to a look of happiness as she flashed a big smile at her soulmon. "Oh, but come on! Did you really think it would be just us? We're still trainees; we can't handle an important mission like this all by ourselves just yet!"

Mimi's ears twitched as a smile appeared across her face too. "You're right! And besides; the more the merrier!"

"Exactly." Kylie smiled down and nodded. They continued walking down the hallway. As they neared the storage room, Kylie froze. Immediately she shot her arm down to stop Mimi from moving too. Mimi looked up at her, confused for a second, then looked ahead at what Kylie had saw and gasped. "G-g-g-"

"G-General M-McMurfee!" Kylie whispered in a suprised tone to her soulmon. They both stared with wide eyes at the General up ahead, barely noticing the girl he was seen talking to with unusually colored hair and a blue-ish Charizard with black stripes running down it's back. "What do we do? Mimi what should we do??" She whispered. "We can't just walk on by!"

"Um-uh..." Mimi stuttered, bringing her forepaws to her face and bouncing up and down, a worried expression on her features.

Kylie shook her head back and forth. "Ok ok! Just act like it's no big deal and follow my lead, k?" Mimi nodded nervously, her wide eyes still staring ahead at the General.

Casually, as if not a care in the world, Mimi walked at a brisk pace down the hallway towards the small group. Mimi followed closely behind, practically glued to the back of Kylie's legs. Her ears were down and she stared at the floor. "Try not to look so nervous, k?" Kylie winked at the Raichu. "Nothing to be afraid of."

Soon enough they approached the group. Kylie instantly shot her hand up to her forehead, saluting the General. Mimi did the same, though it was hard to tell for she still prefered to stay behind Kylie.

Up close, she realized just how much bigger the Charizard was than most Charizard she has seen before in the past. For a second, she glanced down at Mimi. The soulmon was holding onto Kylie's leg with one arm, as she saluted with the other. It was hard to tell, but it looked like she was shaking a bit.

"Greeting, General McMurfee!" They said in unison.

Alicia eyed him in interest. "I'm Alicia Griffins." Sure, for most people that would have been considered rude, but to her, that kind of reaction was perfectly normal. Who would like a random stranger popping up and demanding your name?

"...like you all to come into the storage room. I have something very important that I want to tell you. It's about the mission I told you about."

Alicia flipped around, while Aili's ears perked up. Sure enough, it was General McMurfree. She would recognize that voice anyway. A deep, confident, but respectful voice. She silently and cautiously followed the mass of people that were already crowding around general. To tell the truth, she wasn't sure she liked him.

She liked being able to analyze the people she met. Most of them were easy to read and she could see through them like glass. She understood their way of thinking and could predict their next move. She was sure she was faster, speedier than them. That she could outwit them. The aura they let off told her that.

But it was different with General McMurfree.

He had a cheerful, generous attitude and smiled often. But there was more to him than that. Unlike the others, he had this aura of secret and latent power, hidden deeply within, but was noble and respectful. She couldn't understand him at all. All her life, since she had known him, he had always managed to catch her off guard. She never expected the things he did or said.

And Alicia Griffins did not like that.

"I would like you all to come into the storage room. I have something very important that I want to tell you all. It's about the mission I told you about." Hearing this, the pair whipped around, seeing the General staring up at the large group. Katie motioned casually with her hand and the two of them walked down, taking a place against the wall. Raion sat down calmly, staring around them as though looking for an exit.

Don't be so paranoid, she chided. He glared.

Too many people. Katie sighed, half-closing her eyes.

General McMurphee's deep voice amongst all the shifty teenagers caught Samuel completely off guard. He jumped comically almost slid on the floor and had to double over to avoid falling unceremoniously down. He coughed, blushed and brushed the dust of him, only to see that most of the crowd didn't notice him, as they were all filing in to the storage room. Hecate gave a deep crow. "You're making an idiot of yourself in front of everyone, Samuel! Get a grip, then get in there!"

Samuel hastily followed the others, only to find the large man with the many medals and the large Garchomp waiting fro him. Immediately he stroked his hat of his head and saluted, while Hecate saluted to her "hat" as well. He managed to mutter a "Good evening, Sir" to General McMurphee before finding his place with the others. Once he'd blended in with the crowd (well, as much as you can when you are dressed completely in grey with a touch of red) he found the girl with the Dragonite and the high cheekbones again. He was surprised and a bit disturbed to find that Hecate had picked up the staring game with the Dragonite again. "What's the matter, Hecate?" he whispered to the black bird. She shot him a frustrated look, but then quickly replied "There's only trouble with that dragon. I can feel it. Right from the first eyeshot, I could tell that Pokémon will only bring us trouble". Samuel stroked her over the back, but she simply flapped her wings in annoyance, and he stopped. "Hey," he whispered, "don't let looks and feelings go first, Hecate". His tone was friendly but urgent. "Remember our story"

She looked at him again. her gaze had softened a bit. Hecate cocked her head slightly before continuing to stare the Dragonite down. Samuel was not sure of what she meant.

Alicia approached the general and half-heartedly said, "Greetings, sir."

He turned around in surprise. "Why, if it isn't my little Alicia! How are you? Is your Eevee well?"

"I'm an Umbreon now, sir," Aili informed him.

"Ah, yes, of course, my apologies," the general said cheerfully, scratching behind Aili's ears. "So, is your training going well?"

"I am not fit to judge, but I would say yes, although I hope my general already knows it, else I had been called here for punishment," Alicia answered curtly. "But I'm pretty sure I wasn't, since I doubt my general, sir, would send me a hand-written letter and order me down here simply to tell me I am to muck the stables and do horse labour."

General McMurfree burst of laughter. "That's my little Alicia! Entertaining as always. Well, move along now, I have other trainees to see to, though I wonder if they will greet me in the same way you did."

You really defined the word 'blunt', Aili said as they walked away. You're lucky the general is such a generous person.

"I'm surprised you answered him," Alicia said, ignoring his implying the fact that she might not have had the guts to say what she just did if the general had been a disagreable person. "You normally hate speaking out loud."

Of course I do. It makes me sound all raspy, like an old hag. But this is the general we're talking about. I had to at least have the courtesy to answer him.

She rolled her eyes. When Aili spoke out loud, he sounded extremely cute and cuddly, contrasting greatly with his personality. Though why he would try to announce to the world the exact opposite was beyond her.

What about you? I never expected in a million years that you would let somebody call you 'theirs', and 'little' at that.

"Well, like you said, this is the general we're talking about," Alicia replied, her eyes now scanning the darkness as they entered the storage room. "Even I have to give in to authority."

Meredith followed the rest of the teens, led by General McMurfee into the storage room. She had to wait until her eyes adjusted to the room's fluorescent light bulbs. When they had, Meredith gazed around the room. There were boxes stacked everywhere and shelves holding even more boxes lining the walls. In the middle of the room, there was a section where the boxes had been cleared away and in this gap were sixteen chairs all facing in the same direction.

There were already some people in these chairs. There was a gruff looking girl and a Charizard, a boy and a Gardevoir sitting close together, another girl and a ditto sat next to the Charizard girl, Captain Draco was standing near the back of the room with his Milotic, and there was a girl and another Umbreon. The boy with the Gardevoir looked up at the group and waved.

"Meredith!" He called. Meredith recognized him as Jacob, from their Long Range classes together. Meredith is happy to finally see someone she knows and promptly goes to sit next to him.

"Hey Jacob," But that's all she had the chance to say before General McMurfee spoke.

"It does not look like everyone is here yet." He counts everyone's head. "We are still waiting on a few people. Why don't you all sit and talk while I go look for them?" And with that, he walked out of the room.

The rest of the group that had walked in together took their seats and picked back up on their conversations together.

"So Jacob, any idea's on why we're here?"

No one knows Meredith, except General McMurfee and Captain I'm a dragon killer back there.

"You know that motto is a figure of speech," whispered Meredith, "That's no reason to hate Captain Draco."

Meredith turned back to Jacob, waiting for a response.

Robert stared at the girl as she introduced herself. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it again as he noticed a slightly familiar voice in the background.
"I would like you all to come into the storage room. I have something very important that I want to tell you all. It's about the mission I told you about."
Robert stumbled and quickly jumped to his feet. Could it be? He was breathing heavily with excitement. He gestured at Polo to get up.
"Don't let the General see you slacking off!" he warned her. The Poliwrath sprang up and stuck close to Robert. They followed the crowd into the storage room.
The General's medals caught Robert's eye. He smiled to himself. Polo noticed this and stepped heavily on his foot. Robert bit his lip tightly.
"Stop doing that!" muttered Robert. A tear dripped down his cheek.
"Quit daydreaming then! This is important. We don't want to miss anything. This is General Mc Murfee after all." came the reply.

Robert looked up again. He noticed that General Mc Murfee was talking to a young girl and her blue Charizard partner. He continued to talk to a few other trainers and their Soulmons. Robert was slightly jealous of this and Polo knew it. She could sense what he was thinking. She knew Robert well. It was almost as if she could read his mind at this stage. The Poliwrath sat down in the front row and was followed by Robert. They decided to wait to hear what the General had to say to everyone. They both wanted to make a good impression and not get into details about other things.

Robert noticed that the General seemed different than what he had expected. He seemed friendly. Robert felt disappointed that the General didn't seem as powerful as he had expected. But, then again, he was also relieved that it wouldn't be too strict. He was afraid of making himself look foolish. The medals caught his eye once more. The General must be strong and brave if he has those medals. Robert's protrayal of the General rose again. Sometimes, he just couldn't make up his mind about these things.

"...while I go look for them."

Alicia felt a twinge of annoyance. Why make them wait for those who were late? It's their fault they weren't on time. And it was plain disrespectful to show up late at a meeting, especially one called by General McMurfree himself.

Why don't you talk to somebody in the mean time? Aili suggested. If all the people here were called by the general, they must be special in one way or another.

She didn't like it, but she had to agree. So she stood up and walked towards a serious-looking girl with a blue Charizard. She tapped her shoulder and asked indifferently, "Hello. May I sit there?" She indicated the empty seat next to the girl.

Sera, who was standing ever since the General said he wanted everyone in the storage room, jumped a bit when she felt someone tap her shoulder. She turned around to face a girl with raven colored hair and ocean-blue eyes with an Umbreon Soulmon. Saraph smiled and chuckled under his breath at his trainer's reaction, causing her to glare at him. Sera then grunted and, out of the corner of her eyes, noticed a smaller girl with a Raichu looking at them. With a deep sigh, she turned her full attention back to the girl with the Umbreon.

"Sure, whatever," Sera said with out any interest in her voice. Saraph grunted and nudged his parnter once agian, making her sigh. "Alright, alright!" She turned once more to face the girl. "So who are you? I think I've seen you before but I'm not too sure. I'm Sera and this big blue guy is Saraph."

"Nice to meet you," Saraph said with a kind smile and a nod.

After saluting the General, he, Kylie and Mimi, and Sera and Saraph all headed in the storage room. Kylie and Mimi had found seats next to Sera and Saraph. Standing next to her seat, she looked the duo up and down. Huh, what an odd couple. Kylie thought to herself then, mentally shaking her head, she added, But everyone here is unique as well, including us. She stared down at Mimi, her long, bright orange fur sticking out from the rest of the Raichu species. Her eyes also had a very unique tint of blue to them. Mimi looked up and smiled.

Kylie turned her head back to the duo. I think it's great to have everyone and every Pokemon unique. It gives you a better sense of who you are... She drifted off into her thoughts, not realizing that she was still staring at Sera and Saraph, until one of them turned back around towards her and snapped her out of her daydream.

"Alright, alright!" The girl said. Kylie jumped a little and shook her head. She blinked Sera as she began introducing her and her soulmon.

"Oh, hi!" Kylie smiled brightly at her. "My name is Kylie, and this is my soulmon, Mimi." She laughed, and added, "She's a bit shy." Mimi, who was sitting in the seat next to Kylie's, looked up and gave a small smile, waving her small brown paw.

"By the way, I'm sorry about staring at you two. I kind of drifted off into space and didn't realize what I was doing until you said something..." Kylie scratched the back of her head and smiled sheepishly up at Sera, waiting for her reply.

"I'm Alicia," Alicia replied. "And this is Aili. I'm more or less of a spy from the Scout section. It's normal you don't know me. You're in the Close Combat section, right? Our sections are pretty far away."

At the same time she said this, another girl sitting on Sera's other side spoke. Alicia blinked, gazing at the girl. She had a Raichu Soulmon. What did she say her name was...Kelly?

I think it was something more like Kylie, Aili answered.

((OOC: Sorry that I haven't posted for a while. School just started...))

Marco stared at the interior of the main building. The esthetic windows, the sculptures. They featured different factions, and different people. It was incredibe. He stood and inspected the artwork for a long time. Artifabre seemed pretty interested too...
As usual, they started communicating by mind.

-Isn't it amazing?, Marco asked. -Well, Ive seen better, Tifa replied. Marco frowned. -No, you haven't, he said confused. -Well, Ive seen better in my dreams... and Ive thought up better things, Artifabre said. Marco shook his head vertically, in a manner that neither confirmed nor declined. -Well, It is still beautiful, Marco said. -Of course, no doubt!, Tifa replied happily. They both embraced the silence of the hall.

Suddenly, when the pair were halfway to the land of dreams, they heard heavy footsteps. No one could endure them without realizing that great power was heading their way. Marco gazed towards the staircase. The first thing he saw was some grey hair rising. It was combed with the split at the middle. A tanned forehead appeared, and Artifabre's eyes widened. "Don't you see tha..." she said, before the face came in line of sight. It was the general. His majestic, yet heavy way of walking. His gentle smile at his surprisingly minorly battred face. Tifa was impressed. Marco, not so much...

Marco saluted quickl as he noticed Tifa did the same thing. "Marco Tezorro Fabrica, Sir!" Marco reported. Mac Murphee smiled. "You should report to the storage now. I see you got a little lost in tought." Mac Murphee said. Though the pair were shaking mildly, they ran down to the storage. He entered, and all the kids were frowning and staring at him. Marco did the best thing he could, which was to use his social signature.

He smiled. Gently, yet not fake. Present, yet not too earthy. An expression of perfect balance. He had been dependent on that smile in his childhood, espessially in the latin ghetto. It may or may not have saved his life twice. Enough said. -I hate that smile, Artifabre thought. -Me to, Marco replied...
They sat down with thir back at the wall, as all the sitting space was gone. No problem, though...
