Well, I have both The Best of Red and Yellow books. I've had them for a while...but one day I got an urge to read it again...and then I did. But I wondered-- what else happened? So, I went to Serebii...and got really interested, joined Serebii's forum(xxBlackyxx), then this one.

Upon looking through character bios...I saw Silver...and was like 'I'd tap that :]' so...yeah. xD Then I saw Gold and said 'that too!'.

But even before I knew about PokeSpe, I loved the GSC rival. <3 I loved battling that sexeh mahn! ;D

Ready for the long, odd story of how I became the fanatic I am today?
OK

In late August 2007, I was playing a RP as three Generic Pokemon Trainers by the names of "Generic Trainer", "Generic Rival", and "Generic Female Trainer"
SO they had plenty of crazy misadventures until one day, GT was like "I need a freaking real name."

And so they took up the names of Red, Blue, and Green.
Later on, I looked for a picture of my trainer, My Red.
So I found a picture of Red from the manga and was like "O.O COOL"
It was really good, so I looked at some other stuff that person drew.

And then I saw her.
The blonde, beatiful Yellow...The author said sometihng about a pokemon manga, so I reserched and found out about it.
With this awesome girl, I NEEDED to read this thing.

So I looked day and night for it, until sometime in december or january, I finally found scans...(The scans by Nicoleb)
I read them all...It was amazing...Such great characters...So I became a quick fan.

Months went by, I wasn't able ot read anything other than those 9 volumes, cause I couldn't find the scans...

So in April, I decided to join PC to finally discuss my guilty pokemon pleasure(rofl) wiht other fans.
And so I joined here...
and when I went to the manga section, I found out that it had volumes 10-23
I freaked out and started reading them. Still awesome.

And I went to discuss it, and I saw another person that seemed as into it as I am. And that was SilverSmeargle :D
I NEEDED to become friends with her, after all these months of being a fan and being unable to talk about it with anyone >.>

And I did.
And here I am now :D
And I couldn't be happier. *Group hug*
 
How did you get into PokeSpe?

When I was younger, I had the first two volumes of Red/Blue. They were called Desperado Pikachu and Legendary Pokemon. Yes, they are 2 of the 7 released in the states. I loved them so much. I read them over 10 times, both of them. I thought Red was soooo cool and Blue (whom I now refer to as Green) was a beast.

I had to read the rest. I looked to buy the rest, but I couldn't find them. I then caught wind of Serebii and literally read every single summary down to the last word. But that wasn't enough. I was now very interested in finding scans. I found them on PC and joined. That was really the only reason I joined PC, for the scans. Then I joined this club and slowly became immersed in PC. Anyway so that's it.

Still waiting for 19 though. Go, Graconos, Go!

How did you get into PokeSpe?

Well one day a couple of years ago, My older brother and I were visiting the local Comic shop. I was looking for my favorite manga at the time(don't remember it's name) but then i found out that it's next volume wouldn't come out for another month.

So I spent the next 15 minutes wandering aimlessely trying to find something else when I spotted a tiny stand filled with Pokemon comics. I saw that one of them had a picture of a young boy wearing a huge sombrero with a pikachu on his shoulder. Get a load of this guy. I thought. I saw that the title of the book was "Yellow Caballero"(Which was the American name of the Yellow Saga) I decided to buy it just fo kicks, and I was in love(with Yellow).

The first part of PokeSpe I ever read was the chapter where Yellow started her fight with Lance. (Which is why i'm such an Avid GrantedShipper) I started looking up PokeSpecial years later on Serebii, and eventually I ended up on PC when I became a Rom Hacker. That's when ran into SliverSmeargleSplatter(Love you Splatty) and now i'm here in this wonderful club. Where I began to explain that a couple of years ago my older brother and I visited a local comic shop...

How did you get into Pokémon Special?

Around September last year I was simply scouing Serebii, bored. I had long grown out of the anime, and there was nothing new with the games. But then I saw something my eyes had skipped over and ignored until now. "MANGA". Intrigued, I clicked it. There were the flashing sprites of a boy in the RGBY/FRLG clothing with strange hair, the FRLG girl with an alternate outfit, the rival in his game clothing, a strange character that looked like both a girl AND a boy that I had never seen before, and more edited sprites of the game characters (except another character I had never seen before, a midget with weird hair).

Indeed, when I clicked on them, the characters varied from their game counterparts in a good way. I was surprised to see the names "Ruby" and "Sapphire", but Wally was simply the same. Their Pokémon were all good... And I was surprised at the low levels of the blonde girl's Pokémon.

But then I leave it for a good few months, until December/January. I have noticed the manga again. I get to read the full bios for the characters on Serebii... I learn fully about their true origins... Apparently, this Yellow girl has special powers. Interesting. Later on, I join a new forum called "PokéCommunity", simply because the two other forums I go on were being a little boring. And when I find the scans in the manga section- Well, I started devouring them.

In FRLG she only wears it in battle, otherwise......., she just leaves her hair tied in a pony-tail with out her hat.

How did you get into Pokémon Special?


Well, I think I'm the 'oldest' Pokespe-fan here. I saw the first Volume 2001 in a comic store and brought it because it brings together two things that I really liked: Pokemon and Manga. I loved this Manga from the first day on and brought the next two Volumes when they came out. Then I was waiting for Vol.4, and waiting... and waiting, but it didn't come. I thought the series has ended after Vol.3 and it makes me feel sad. o_o
In 2003 I visit the american book store in Amsterdam and find a Volume of Dengeki Pokemon. 'Cool! Another Pokemon Manga series.' I thought. But I didn't buy it. (I can't remember why)
A few month ago, in February 2008, I became Internet and began to search for Dengeki Pokemon... and I found this great place!
After reading Dengeki I take a look at the other Pokemon magas here and find Pokespe. After looking at the first chapters I thougt: 'Hey! I knew this story!' I got over my head when I saw how many Volumes I could read from my fav. manga-series.
It didn't need long time until I found this club and I wanted to join. Now I'm reading the best manga ever (in the middle of Vol. 12) and discuss it with the best people on the internet!
I love you all guys. (You too Genesis. Not angry any more? *doggy-eyes*)

Now I can't wait to show my fanart and I think that our Club-fanfic will become great!

Well... this storyline what we want to tell is so different to pokespe that there are enough possibilities to bring up some shippings that we don't get in the manga... I'm not seeing a big problem with that. We can discuss the possible shippings here with the writers but I think we will find a way. And we don't have these 'obsessiv' shippers here, who would fight a shipping that he don't like...(I think)
@yeo: Are you now going to write the RB/Y and the GSC-arc?
 
Why not. Unless someone wants to do something.....
But on the topic of shippings, people will probably have affairs with other people, will break up and hook up......
So...I was just thinking...
First we write a sorta...introductory fic, telling bout what's happening and stuff. THen, we all get together and plan out the major thing- yanno, the Red & Blue orbs, summoning Groudon and Kyogre....etcetcetc....

Oof, been a long time since I've been here (yes, I'm a member here, though no one probably remembers). I take forever catching up on things... Man, this thread is funny! I plan to read the fanfics when I finally find the time. =^-^=

I think it was the summaries on Serebii that hooked me in. I really wanted to see scans, so I searched, and found nicoleb's thread. But I didn't look through them when I saw that Grimsg was selling the manga over eBay, so I clicked the link, and bought something online for the very first time--Volumes 1 through 24 (I sort of sneaked it). I joined PC later for the manga section, but I seem to have diverged from there, as it became sort of inactive (but it seems to be active now). Later, I got Volume 25, and that's all I have now. Yeah, and that's pretty much it. Boring, I know.
