Pokemon Special Filler Sagas?

    Now I know that before, we already had a thread about an anime about the manga, and as much as it saddens me to say that it already is impossible for an anime of it. I wondered in this situation. Assumming there WAS an anime and it started maybe two years at the start of the manga. Would you guys approve of filler sagas?

    For those that don't know, most of the time in anime like naruto and detective conan where they were based on a manga before being made an anime, episodes that are not based on any chapter of the manga are made by the producers without any relation to the story.

    Now assuming there was an anime of special, I believe it will follow naruto's style of continuity but what do you guys think about filler arcs in between arcs? For example after the Gold Saga they can make a filler where red and gold go to Mt. Silver and train. We might even see that battle in the GBA and it would totally make character develoment with diffrerent characters than those of the same region.

    it'd be interseting... I was wondering about the end of Gold Saga where Gold and Red go to Mt.Silver to train...

    That is true... but if people could endure the fillers of the current official Anime I'm pretty sure we'll be able to bear with this one.
     
    Your first coloured picture, Red is terrible. But you improved your colouring. Keep it up! And save it as PNG. That'll be better.

    He he no problem I'll reupload that first one with the pokedex but the ruby sapphire one I think I'll skip that since many people already put them in their favorites. As for the gold one I'm still thinking since the five other people I asked don't mind or has not even noticed before I told them. But I'll definitely save them in PNG since I did notice that some parts of the picture gets distorted when I save to JPG.

    Yes you know like naruto they can make it like this. Remember the Elite Four made cameos on RBG on Red's Battle with Green (boy)? Then why don't filler enemies make that cameo instead. Some unknown trainers who want to challenge red and blue and green help out on the filler. After that during the end of the filler saga the actual elite four make an appearance.

    Oh come on the badges in that show are the actual storylines. Even the team rocket members that appear aside from those three are fillers. Besides in special it follows continuity like naruto, and the fans bear with it naruto even though the manga and anime are already worlds apart. Also I believe something actually happens in one episode of special if they do make it an anime unlike naruto where they have excessive flashbacks and repeat everything that was already said. (No offense on naruto fans I watch that show too but I only care about akatsuki and I hated the wait)
     
    I don't see what's so good about fillers... I think what was good about Pokemon Special compared to the anime was that it didn't have fillers and was pretty much straightforward with the plot.

    That is true. (Go watch WTFP on youtube it's very funny just don't take it too seriously) I'm just conservative when bashing the Anime because I don't want to draw fire from the Satoshi-tachi fans out there. (And get subsequently banned, Do they even go here in the Manga section?) But as I said earlier they do have good music and themes. (It just became a ritual to me to memorize the themes of every "new" anime I get into...very bad....)

    That's a good idea! I always wondered what was happening from the RGB saga to the Y saga....The Mt. Silver idea sounds cool, too.

    An entire arc is a staggering amount.

    Instead of placing filler arcs, which places too much effort on the writer, a one-shot chapter that is twice the length is a better bet. They should work as a sort of a transition chapter or a background chapter for individual characters.

    Pulling out fillers is going to make this a lot like the anime and not to mention that it would be very exhausting for the writer and the manga-ka. This might cause the story or art to go down in quality.
     
    I'd like to see more interactions between Silver and Crystal. Not because I ship them, but because they interact in the game. They pretty much don't even talk in the manga. I'd also like to see random just for fun filler episodes to break the tension after a huge tension filled arc.
