Pokemon Special RP

"I think we woke up too early," Lily said with a wink. "But I don't know if I want to enter Sammy now. He stinks! But, whatever I'm not planning on winning, just to have fun, right? When do you think Moth'll evolve? He is getting stronger every time I see him!" She walked up to Fletch and the bird and patted him gently. Lily's face slowly turned into a frown. "Oh yeah, today is when I'm releasing Raleigh.." her voice dropped.

Fletcher laughed heartily. "Well you've barely even trained him, what'd you expect! You've still got your Poliwrath, I don't see why you don't just use him. And I really couldn't tell you when he's going to evolve, or if he will at all for that matter. I'm really not even sure what Swablus evolve into actually..." He paused for a moment, thinking. "Oh yeah, Raleigh." Neither Fletch nor any of his Pokemon had any connection with the rude walrus, so his release wasn't nearly as gloom as it was to Lily.

OOC: LOLZ YOUR SIG!

"Yeah I could use Pauly D. But I'll feel bad because I haven't used Sammy very much since I've caught him. But I also have Whitney at home, you know my Wailmer. Ah, I don't think I'm ready for this tournament!" Lily was making this a bigger deal than it was. She checked her watch, 10:05. "What time does the tournie start anyways?"

OOC: What about it...? Lol.

Fletcher's dark eyes nearly popped as they inflated to a dangerous size. "Since when do you have a Wailmer!? WHY DON'T I KNOW ABOUT THIS!" His mild spasm was similar to that of Ed Elric's when he's called short. "Uhhh..." Baffled by this question, he stood there with his lower jaw hanging open. "I don't know, but there's flyers plastered all over town. We can probably check one of them."

"I've never told you about Whitney?" Lily questioned as they walked into town, "Well, my dad doesn't like letting me use her because she's too powerful for normal battles. But I've had her since forever! I can't believe I've never told you.. haha, sorry. For lunch my mom wants us to eat at my house. I'll show you her then, OK?" Lils patted Fletcher's shoulder as they came up to a sign on the window of the nearest PokeMart. Tournament will begin at 1:00 pm.

He stopped dead in his tracks, gaping at his best friend. "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. If it's your Pokemon why shouldn't you be able to use it? It doesn't really matter how powerful it is- there's always someone stronger. I'll have to give your dad a lecture...and what's mom making for lunch?" Milton had finally come down from the roof only after Fletcher left the backyard; he couldn't be out of sight of his master for a second, and now he was happily flying above the two's heads.

"I know, my parents just don't get it, especially my dad," Lily sighed. Lily's mother and father didn't understand her. It's not that they didn't get along, it's just that they thought two different things, had different opinions. "And, some kind of soup, not chili," Lils laughed. We all know how much Fletcher loves chili.

"And you've just...never mentioned this Wailmer," he commented, frowning. "Okay well anyway, next week I think we should go back on the hunt for our badges. I've gotta snag mine from Fortree but that's on the way to Mossdeep anyway...what do you think?" Still only thirteen, the boy was eager for glory and success- his eyes glowed with it, and his heart yearned for it.

"Okay, okay I'm sorry I never told you. How about no secrets from now on, k?" Lily promised. "But yeah, that's a good idea! Maybe we can stay with my grandparents while we're up there, too!" Lily did a little jump out of happiness. "Let's head over to my house."

He choked a little on his spit as she mentioned staying at her grandparents'. Didn't that sound fun. "Right, it's somewhere to sleep anyway..." Optimism wasn't his strongest trait but he could wield it if necessary. "Olay, you've got to show me this secet Wailmer."

That made Lily thrilled! When they got to Lily's house Cameron and his annoying friends were in the front yard battling with their not-so-cool Pokemon. Cameron was 11, so just a beginner trainer, but he looked up to his older sister. "Hey Lils," shouted Cam over the noise of his friends yelling commands at their Pokemon. "Oh, hey Fletcher. Is it time for lunch?"
"I don't know, I just got here," said Lily as she walked inside and headed for her room. Once both Fletcher and her were in her room, Lily went to this chest and pulled out a couple of PokeBalls. "Um, let's go in the backyard."
"Come out, Whitney!" said Lily with a huge smile. After a glow of light faded there stood a stout, shiny-looking whale. It gave a little moan out of gladness to finally be out of that ball. "OH WHITNEY!!" screamed Lily and went to hug the Wailmer. "Isn't she adorable?!" she beamed.

Fletcher was not pleased that Cam was home- he was literally the most annoying person that Fletch knew. But Whitney took his mind off of this, and he looked at the Wailmer skeptically, but still curiously. It looked friendly enough- it seemed just like the type of Pokemon Lily would own. "Hi Whitney," the teenager said softly as he approached it, holding his hand in front of him so he could pet her, feeling her sleek but fatty skin. "Wow, she's...something," Fletch admitted, smiling.

The whale jumped a little when Fletcher touched her, but then bellowed softly with pleasure. "I think she likes you! Aw, I forgot how much I loved her," Lily giggled.
"Soup's ready!" They could hear Mrs. Hollis yell from inside. Lily checked her watch, 12:00.
"Oh gosh, we only have an hour till the tournie!" She looked at Whitney, "C'mon girl, back in the ball. I'll take you out later, I promise." Lily said as she stared at the cutest thing in the backyard.

Yes, soup! Fletcher's narrator had soup today, and so Fletch had to follow in his footsteps! It was destiny.

Not. But really, he happily went into the Hollis' kitchen, eager for some grub. "Heya Mrs. Hollis," Fletch greeted casually, walking over to the counter by the stove. "What's on the menu for today? Oh you don't mind if Milton comes in, do you?" Winking, he snapped and pointed both his pointer fingers at her, and the Taillow chirped as it was acknowledged, sitting on his master's shoulder.

OOC: LOL.. you're so rude towards Mrs. Hollis.

"Hello Fletcher and Milton." Charlotte said with laugh, "It's chicken soup! I hope you're hungry, 'cause I've got plenty."
"Yes, we're starving! Or at lease I am," Lils stated.
"Mom, can me and my friends do this little tournament near the beach at 1 today?" whined Cameron. Instantly, Lily stared at Fletch with her mouth dropped.
"Cameron, there's no room on the signup sheet!" Lily said, hoping he didn't signup.
"Well, Matt's dad is in charge of it and he said we could join if we wanted to," he nagged, everything Cameron did was annoying. He stuck his tongue out at her, she did the same to him.
DANG IT!!!

"You're making that up," Fletch accused cooly. "There's already 16 entries, and adding any more that aren't in increments of 8 would completely disrupt the bracket- which is already set up. I doubt Matt's dad would want to do that, because then people would drop out and Mr. WhatsHisFace that owns the snack shop on the beach would lose business, and would probably fire Matt's dad all because of you guys." The words flowed out of his mouth as if he had rehearsed them, and the fact that Mrs. Hollis was in the room didn't cause him to back down from his argument at all. They couldn't just enter after the deadline, it wasn't logical or reasonable.

Thank God for Fletcher.

"Well, there ya go Cameron," Lily said trying to persuade a little more but Fletcher obviously finished it off.
"Oh, honey. You and your friends can have a little tournament in the backyard, if you want," Mrs. Hollis tried to compromise.
"Mom, this soup is delicious, but Fletch and I need to get going. The thingy starts soon! I'll be back after," Lily gleamed.
Lily gathered her things and waited for Fletcher.

"Ho' 'ron!" Fletch gurggled while he scooped his second bowl of soup into his mouth with two spoons. No one could beat Mrs. Hollis' cooking! He wished he had time to savor it more but battling takes the crown on his list of priorities. Finally the bowl was empty. His mouth was closed but the satisfied belch still echoed loudly in his throat. "Thanks Mrs. Hollis, it was scrumptious as usual," he complimented with a charming smile. Turning to Cam, whose stupid face itself irritated Fletch, he said mockingly, "Have fun battling in the backyard," and then hopped over to the back door, grabbed his shoes and trotted to the front door with them. "I'm so giddy!"

"Do we need to go to your house for anything? Or can we get there early??" You could tell by the looks on their faces that they were ready to win. Lily took out Sparky to have him walk by them and get some fresh air. "Can I use Whitney today, even though I didn't signup with her name on it?"

"I've only got Milton with me, so yeah, I'll need to stop at home." He chuckled, but anxiously started walking faster, Milton right at his side, of course. "Well, did you put down Sammy's species, or just his name? I assume it'd look kinda sketchy if you used a Wailmer when you're supposed to have a Snorunt." They arrived at his house, and he quickly ran in the backyard where he'd left most of his companions, summoned them to their Pokeballs, grabbed Dusty's Pokeball from inside and ran back to the street. "To the beach!"

OOC: I'm gonna go shower, I'll probs be back when you finish replying.
