4th Gen Pokemon Teams?

Hey everyone.

Was wondering if anyone uses there starting Pokemon for there main team.
I started with Piplup on my new Plat game but not really a fan of any of the starting Pokemon.

Was wondering is there better then the starters to use from the start?

Shinx and Starly for me are a must as I use piplup. Shinx cause i love having a luxray towards the end of the game(and cause i really dont see fit having an electrabuzz) and starly cause its useful for 2-3 gyms and getting through the first rival battle is super easy from the start. MY later team though will consist of absols and such.
