I like the new cbs, its interesting that you've strayed from the normal battle structure, although it does share some resembelance.
One thing, with your charmander and pikachu sprites, their facing left. Thats not a big problem as there also facing down, but also the opposing pokemon is facing down and to the left. The squirtle is good though.
