This is all just concept right now. And even if I do decide to do it, progress will be slow without a team, because i am limited in my skills : Can only map and sprite.

    Storyline.

The game is set a long time before the events of the games, in a different region. It starts with the player going to Floaroma town as a child and playing in the valleys. A haggard old lady asks the child to pick a flower. He/She is wary at first but they do it anyway; as the flowers are really pretty. They choose from a flower of grace, destruction or serenity, which later corresponds with their starter; which even later corresponds with their guardian (not spoiling incase i do go somewhere with this). It wont be so much like the other games (It will still involve battles but not gyms and such) instead of gyms, there are leaders of areas, you have to battle them to get through, there is no Pokemon League. You have to stop a team of time travellers who want to prevent you from saving Sinnoh. If anyone wants more detail on the cataclysm you can contact me. As there is no Pokemon establishment, I intend to introduce a feeding system to prevent your Pokemon from dying, although fainting or in battle hp doesn't interfere with this system. As i said, for more detail contact me.

    Features:

    • A new journal system to replace the Pokedex where the player takes down data, it still does it automatically its just nicer as it fits more with the timeline.
    • A full new series of Pokemon, some are ancestors of actual pokemon (Hello powerfull Magikarp 8D)
    • Pokemon feeding.
    • Breed special pokemon together to get hybrids (for certain pokemon only), this can result in much more powerful pokemon.
    • Possible event/mystery gift patches system?
    • A more realistic region (i.e no random outbursts of snow)
    • HM system replaced with items for the trainer i.e (come accross water, use the boat, rock climb? use the rope etc.)
    • Your favourite pokemon will follow you whilst the rest are able to be called on (You will essentially have a party, just that to make it seem more realistic, you call upon pokemon whenever you enter a battle as Pokeballs haven't been invented)
    • An abundance of Shaymin, in various forms. Seen almost as the Regions mascot pokemon, Only leaders of areas can have them however, as they're worshipped in the region.
As i said, this is all just concept for me unless i can gather a team. However if any hackers/game designers are looking for a spriter you can see some on my pixel work on my deviantart account in my signature.

Could you possibly expand upon the whole 'calling upon Pokemon for battles' concept? I don't quite understand how that could work. (Actually, what instantly jumped to mind was Telefang [a.k.a. "Pokemon" Diamond. If you've never played it, instead of capturing the creatures, you collect their phone numbers and call them on your cell when you need them.].)

Also, Pokeballs have been around for quite a while, if Pokemon 4Ever is anything to go buy. Well, I think they actually used apricorns back then, but the idea is the same.

Well then, lets do away with the pokemon calling system and use acorns!
Yes, I remember now, yeah lets go with acorns.
But what i meant was that the pokemon are always in your party but just as a novelty when you call it out to battle, you will have a party but because i thought pokemon weren't able to travel with you back then you would have to use a "Sir. Aaron" method of calling them (either through aura or a flute or something)

*Sir. Aaron from Pokemon Movie 8: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew

    An amazing idea.
Ah yes I remember the acorns all too well.
Yay for Charmeleons popping out of Acorns to save a Celebi.

But I think this could be something really good, and I'd be happy to help if you like.
I'd also appreciate your help as a spriter for my game as well if you're up for it.
